This study was conducted to find out the relationship between the stress perception and health habits with 426 industrial workers using the GARS(Global assessment of recent stress) scale. The results were as follows : 1. The mean scores of stress perception were higher in female, more educated and divorced. There were no evident trends of mean scores of stress perception in age, monthly income and years worked. 2. The stress perception by health habits and sex showed significant difference in physical exercise and smoking variables. The higher health bit index, the lower degree of stress perception in male, but higher in female reversely. 3. The health habits and demographic variables were classified by five factors. Factors of sleeping hours, body mass index, and taste containing smoking and alcohol drinking had relatively high relation to stress perception. The explanation power of factors and variables was relatively low as 3.4%.

The main point source of pollution of the Keumho river in Taegu, Korea, stems from waste from the areas of industrial complexes . Although it is widely accepted that pollutants in waste water negatively effects general water quality, it is difficult to evaluate the effluent effect because of varying conditions in ambient water and inconclusive knowledge of causative pollutants. To analyze the water in relation to the industrial effluent in the area, pH. temperature, conductivity, and Microtox toxicity of various river samples were measured. Water samples were collected every 2 hours for 36 hours from Keumho river and Dalseo stream. Data from continuous monitoring for 36 hours showed that effluent in Keumho river originated from Dalseo stream, which is near adjacent to industrial complexes. Change in toxicity and other factors tested during the 36 hours indicated that continuous monitoring was necessary for a satisfactory effluent toxicity test Furthermore, in addition to water quality monitoring, it was concluded that sediment toxicity also needed to evaluate effluent effects.

교통은 오늘날의 문명사회를 저울질 할 수 있는 바로메타로서 인류생활의 향상과 발전에 크게 이바지해 온 것은 틀림없는 사실이다. 그러나 교통은 사람과 도로와 자동차의 조화 속에서 이루어지는 인간-기계계(man-machine system)인 것으로서 이들 요소들은 정삼각형을 구성하는 것으로서 어느 쪽에도 불합리나 결함이 자리잡게 되면 무섭고도 끔찍한 교통사고를 일으키고 만다. 이와 같은 사실은 최근의 교통사고 사망자수에 대한 변화를 찾아보더라도 그 엄청난 피해를 그냥 보아 넘길 수는 없는 것이다. 교통이란 본래 공간적인 이동을 그 기능으로 하고 있다. 사람들의 생활과, 이와 같은 생활을 둘러싸는 모든 활동은 확대, 확산된 공간속에서 실시되고 있는 것인데 여기에서 사회를 형성하게 된다. 따라서 교통이 발달한다는 것은 곧 사회적 교류를 드높이면서 그의 향상과 발전을 도모하게 될 것인데 이 때의 문제점을 기존통계를 중심으로 분석하면서 그의 교통안전교육에 대한 시행방안을 고찰하고자 한다.

Design factors are very important and deterministic in determining the first impression of products and environment. The final 30 number of channel button were chosen as a design factors at the Audio Unit. Then, we made the 8 types of prototype. with combining the design factors for experiment. Subjects rated the SD(Semantic Differential) evaluation sheets which have the 30 adjectives after watching each prototype. With the evaluated values, we simulated to identify the relation between the design factors and the adjectives using Neural Network. As a results, we could abstract the affective adjectives on each 8 types. Therefore, this research suggested the possibilities that we can infer the optimal design factors and types using Neural Network, if adjectives were given.

Geochemical study was carried out to find out soil contamination at the heaped soil, moved from bottom of the storage pond in Pohang industrial complex, in Moondug, Chemical analysis showed that contents of heavy metals in the soil were higher than those of the ordinary soil. Contents of Cu and Cd in the soil exceeded Korean standard of soil contamination. Especially content of Cu exceeded Korean standard of soil contamination(50ppm) at the six points and at one point content of Cu was 113.3ppm. Contents of Be were so higher than U.S RCRA standard(0.2ppm) that they can affect soil environment. The followed research about relation between pollutant and soil and proper measures are required to prevent soil contamination from affecting environment of Moondug.

This paper summerizes the former 5 papers that studied computer programming for the estimation of the Weibull, Extreme value, Hazard, Normal and Log-normal parameters which have a close relation with the reliability of the various kinds of industrial products. Probability paper is very commonly used in estimating the parameters, however, it is very hard to neglect the errors in plotting the data, and especially in drawing the regression line. The main purpose of this paper is to reduce these errors and to help the engineers to use the parameters in improving the reliability of their prod- ucts. The following parts are included in the computer programming with the em- phases on significant digits and rounding of numerical values : $\bullet$ data input part for various cases $\bullet$ parameter estimation part $\bullet$ printing part for input data $\bullet$ printing part for the results $\bullet$ printing part for the graphic(probability paper). And the running results(monitor displays) of the program for a fictitious example of Weibull distribution is given for the interested ones.

In relation to a certification system recently, it is coming out complains about make a rule of thumb certification, problems of after-service and duplication with government certifications. Also there is confusion in operating certification system to lack of properly rule to international standard. These impose a heavy burden on company in terms of times and costs and enhance competitiveness. Nevertheless, the survey was not built yet for the status and problems of the cooperation group standards certification System. So, this study purposes that research on the actual condition and development of operational guide for cooperation group standards certification system. In addition it ultimately improve the certification system for reliability and international competitive power. For more detail on this study, it would be considered conformity assessment, domestic/international conformity assessment and certification criteria. Also comparing survey result on the actual condition with international standards, develop operational guidelines to meet international standards.

The importance of development of occupational safety index is truly great. It will contribute to the wise direction of safety program. In present, frequency and severity ratios were the standard measure. These terms express the incidence of major injuries and severity of the major injuries experience, each with relation to the employee-hours of work exposure during the period that is measured. But these measure don't expressed the dangerous feeling degree of worker. In this study, Effective Industrial Safety Index(EISI) was developed using dangerous feeling degree of worker, frequency of injuries, and severity of injury. EISI can be used as an aid for effective safety management in workplace.

This paper concerns on a multiprocessor task scheduling problem with precedence relation, in which each task requires several processors simultaneously. Meta-heuristic generally finds a good solution if it starts from a good solution. In this paper, a tabu search is presented to find a schedule of minimal time to complete all tasks. A modified tabu search is also presented which uses a new initial solution based on the best solution during the previous run as the new starting solution for the next iteration. Numerical results show that a tabu search and a modified tabu search yield a better performance than the previous studies.
