For national industrial development in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, it is necessary to provide researchers with appropriate job information. This can be achieved by interconnecting the National Science and Technology Standard Classification System used for management of research activity with the Korean Employment Classification of Occupations used for job information management. In the present study, an automatic linkage model of classification systems is introduced based on a pre-trained language model for interconnecting science and technology information with job information. We propose for the first time an automatic model for linkage of classification systems. Our model effectively maps similar classes between the National Science & Technology Standard Classification System and Korean Employment Classification of Occupations. Moreover, the model increases interconnection performance by considering hierarchical features of classification systems. Experimental results show that precision and recall of the proposed model are about 0.82 and 0.84, respectively.

This paper analyzes the characteristics of technological knowledge flow-structure of Korean manufacturing in dynamic perspective. In doing that, the concept of the knowledge network is introduced which is defined as a set of industries and their interaction(knowledge flow) or linkage. The analysis of the inter-industrial knowledge flows is based on the technological similarity by using R&D researchers'academic background in the year of 1984, 1987, 1990. The analysis is carried out by such methodology as network analysis, indicator analysis and simple statistical analysis. And the final results are drawn both in absolute terms(dimension effect) and in relative terms (proportion effect) respectively. The main findings are as follow. First, the Korean manufacturing knowledge network appears to strengthen existing inter-industrial knowledge linkages rather than to construct new linkages. Second, the network seems to form a dualistic structure in that some high-technology sectors (knowledge production sectors) emerge along with traditional sectors (knowledge absorbing sectors). Third, since the mid-1980s, an inter-industrial fusion is witnessed among technologically intensive sectors, indicating that some sophisticated innovation modes are emerging in Korean manufacturing system.

This study attempts to analyze the economic impact of the service robot industry using Input-Output analysis, which is conducted based on Demand-driven model, the Leontief price model, the Backward and Forward Linkage Effects, and the Exogenous Methods. In a Demand-driven model analysis, we can conclude that the service robot industry contains characteristics of both the manufacturing industry and the service industry, which causes a positive impact on the overall industry by compensating for the weaknesses of the two industries. The Leontief price analysis indicates when wages in the service robot industry increase, prices related to robot manufacturing also increase. Also, when profits in the service robot industry increase, prices related to service provision increase, too. The Backward and Forward Linkage Effects analysis shows that the service robot industry is highly sensitive to the current economic condition and has a great influence on the service industry. The service robot industry can highlight the aspect of service characteristics when the manufacturing industry is in recession and vice versa. In addition, the service robot industry can be regarded as a value-adding and domestic economy promoting industry which utilizes knowledge of information and communication technologies. It is important to foster the service robot industry in South Korea, which is in economic recession to provide an opportunity to stimulate the growth of both service and robot industries.
The purpose of this study is to find out the implications for the activation of the real estate industry by comparing the structure of production and distribution, as well as the industrial linkage, of Korean real estate industry with that of the US through an input-output analysis. This study employed the World Input-Output Database (WIOD) provided by the EU in 2016. The results are as follows. First, while the share of the Korean real estate industry in the national economy has been steadily decreasing since the year 2000, the real estate industry of the United States is increasing. Second, both Korean and US real estate businesses have higher value added rates than the industry average, but the intermediate demand rate is lower than the industry average. Furthermore, the intermediate input rate and intermediate demand rate of the Korean real estate industry were lower than that of the US. Third, the change in the final demand for the Korean real estate industry has a lower production and value added effect on the national economy than that of the United States. Fourth, the industrial linkage of the US real estate industry is larger and broader than that of Korea. Finally, it is suggested that a policy to increase the industrial linkage of real estate industry with high value-added industries is needed in order to revitalize Korea's real estate industry.
Climate changes from global warming and reduction in agricultural land result in volatility of prices of agricultural products, causing a imbalance of food market in Korea. It is necessary to develop a transnational food industry cooperation system among Korea, China and Russia that directly or indirectly affect food industry in terms of the whole industrial network. This study analyzes the value chain and linkage in the agriculture, forestry and fisheries industries in three nations. The unit structure and the industrial patterns of three nations were derived using the World Input-output Table (WIOT) from 2004 to 2014 every five years. This paper is expected to contribute to develop food security cooperation in the northern part of the Korean peninsula and to promote the mutual growth of food industry through industry linkage and cooperation.

With the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the number of data-centric integrated researches increases. The integrated researches make information identification and linkage more important, so it is necessary to seek a method to efficiently manage and share academic-information for supporting the researches. Therefore, this study aims to analyze identification system and linkable information types of 12 major academic search engines and bibliographic databases(ASEBDs) in Korea and abroad and to propose a method to identify and link academic-information. The analysis was conducted 2 times, and academic-information types, searchable fields, linkable information types, used identification system were investigated. As a result, the ASEBDs link directly or/and indirectly 3~4 information types based on their own identifiers with persistent identifiers. In addition, they identify academic-information semi-automatically based on machine learning methodology and collect and manage the related data. Finally, the method for academic-information linkage was proposed in terms of practice and society: linkage based on persistent identifiers and linkage based on collaborative network of institutions.

This study assessed the changes in Korea's industrial structure to analyze the linkage between years 1995-2000 -2005-2009 Industry Input-Output Tables to access the constant changes in the structure of the inter-industry linkage analysis. First, the Korean economy during the period of analysis was based on solid growth from 1,190 trillion won in 1995 to 2,775 trillion won in 2009. Second, the structure of the industry association in the case of industries, services and electronic form was as follows: in 1995, Heavy-heavy-primary, public; in 2000, service-heavy-heavy, electronic-primary, public; in 2005 Services - Manufacturing - Consumer Goods - first, public, service; and 2009 e-manufacturing - Consumer Goods - primary, the public.
Objectives : Recently, concern about the ubiquitous healthcare industry has increased worldwide. This study estimated the economic effects of the ubiquitous healthcare industry by Input-Output Analysis. Methods : In this study, $384^*384$ sector statistics of the Bank of Korea were used as the initial analysis tool, after adjustments, $9^*9$ sector statistics were used as the major research method for that industry. The main analysis tools of this study included a comparison of the backward and forward linkage effects, as well as the induced effects of the self-industry and other industries and the induced coefficients including products, value-added, employee's pay, sales surplus, and employment. Results : Based on the results of the analysis, the ubiquitous healthcare industry has great economic impacts which affects major macroeconomic factors including production and the backward linkage effect. Additionally, the induced effects of the self-industry, the ubiquitous healthcare industry, are significant compared to other industries in terms of production, employee's pay and operating surplus. Conclusions : The ubiquitous healthcare industry is a growth engines for national development. This paper offers alternatives for efficient industrial policies.
This paper proposes a strategic model of linkage between productivity metrics and financial accounting metrics to properly evaluate the financial effect of TPM activities and the business performance. This linkage strategy provides a connection tool for clear communication between factory-level and headquarters that the metrics proposed by this paper ultimately improves a quality of support from the management by receiving the factors required for productivity activities in the practical field. This factor includes such as equipment, raw materials and labors. Here, we propose that chain reaction models using break down structure of productivity metrics and financial metrics enhance the knowledge sharing of KPI (Key Performance Indicator) which generally tend to create oversimplified communication between management in headquarters and employees in the practical fields. The productivity metrics include OEE(Overall Equipment Effectiveness) of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), OLE (Overall Labor Effectiveness) of PAC(Performance and Analysis and Control) activities, and OYE (Overall Yield Effectiveness) of TMM(Total Material Management) activities. The financial accounting metrics include ROE(Return on Equity), ROA(Return on Asset), and AVR(Added-Value Rate). The suggested chain reaction model selects the financial metrics as initial stage and branch down until final stage of productivity metrics. When demand exceeds supply, an ideal speed rate, the lean OEE strategy can be initially applied to reduce the gap between the demand and supply, then apply variable costing to estimate correct amount of operating profit. In addition, the paper presents a new type of model for linkage between financial accounting metrics including CAPEX(Capital Expenditure), OPEX(Operating Expenditure), EVA(Economic Added Value), DCL(Degree of Combined Leverage), and TPM productivity activities including AM(Autonomous Maintenance), PM(Preventive Maintenance), MP(Maintenance Prevention) and QM(Quality Maintenance). In order to support the evidence of proposed linkage strategy, a case analysis on 52 projects from national TPM contest from 2011 to 2012 is analyzed. The case presents the classification of CAPEX and OPEX activities from TPM, and proposes the correct implementation of financial effect for TPM projects.

While local autonomy is settled, each local government plans and fulfills policy to foster local industry for local development so it is important to establish industry location and economic foundation which is fitting to local conditions. Local development requires the development of local industry and it is necessary that this industry fits to the local conditions in order to be focused and developed. The regional input-output tables contain very useful data to understand the structure of local industry and interregional industry and also the analysis of linkage by industrial ripple effect among regions is needed. The study divided the country into 7 units and conducted factor analysis by using sum data of inducement coefficients in 78 parts of 2005's regional input-output tables, and as conclusion extracted 8 factors.
