A Study on the Overlay Welding Process Optimization of GTAW by Double Torch (GTAW Double Torch의 육성용접 공정최적화에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, GTAW was carried out on austenitic STS316 stainless steel. Overlay welding with the stellite-base filler metal was implemented using a double torch. The response variable was calculated on the measured Vickers hardness for process optimization using the Taguchi method and its response variable was then analyzed about effect on overlay welding characteristics. The optimal process design by the Taguchi method is extremely effective in the overlay welding process for the multiple response variables. In addition, the effects of contribution rate about each response variable was analyzed easily. The conditions of the optimal process were 105A, 18V, pre-heat treatment at $200^{\circ}C$, and post weld heat treatment at $100^{\circ}C$. The Vickers hardness of the specimens produced under the optimal condition of GTAW by the double torch was 8.19% higher than that by a single torch.

  • The purpose of the article is to identify priority trends of technological innovations and strategic opportunities for using the smart potential to the benefit of the Russian industrial production development in the context of digital transformation. The article substantiates the demand for technological process automation at industrial enterprises in Russia and considers the possibilities of using artificial intelligence and the implementation of smart manufacturing in the industry. The article reveals the priorities of the leading Russian industrial companies in the field of digitalization, namely, an expansion of the use of cloud technologies, predictive analysis, IaaS services (virtual data storage and processing centers), supervisory control, and data acquisition (SCADA), etc. The authors give the characteristics of the monitoring of the smart manufacturing systems development indicators in the Russian Federation, conducted by Rosstat since 2020; presents projected data on the assessment of the required resources in relation to the instruments of state support for the development of smart manufacturing technologies for the period until 2024. The article determines targets for the development of smart technologies within the framework of the Federal Project "Digital Technologies".

  • This paper presents a bin picking method using a slit beam laser in which a robot recognizes all of the unoccluded objects from the top of jumbled objects, and picks them up one by one. Once those unoccluded objects are removed, newly developed unoccluded objects underneath are recognized and the same process is continued until the bin gets empty. To recognize unoccluded objects, a new algorithm to link edges on slices which are generated by the orthogonally mounted laser on the xy table is proposed. The edges on slices are partitioned and classified using convex and concave function with a distance parameter. The edge types on the neighborhood slices are compared, then the hamming distances among identical kinds of edges are extracted as the features of fuzzy membership function. The sugeno fuzzy integration about features is used to determine linked edges. Finally, the pick-up sequence based on MaxMin theory is determined to cause minimal disturbance to the pile. This proposed method may provide a solution to the automation of part handling in manufacturing environments such as in punch press operation or part assembly.

  • DC-Motor is needed more and more sophisticated control to follow the highest precision of industrial automation and used in a number of control equipment or industrial fields. It is also useful to control single crystal($A1_2O_3$) growth. It is possible to procure a quality crystal utilizing a DC-Motor, if you mix Hydrogen and Oxygen gas properly and keep proper temperature in accordance with time process. In this paper, we will study about electrical valve positioning system for the gas mixture to improve the quality of single crystal($A1_2O_3$) growth and we will design about realtime monitoring systems of the automatic gas control DC- Motor for single crystal($A1_2O_3$) growth.

  • The trends of economic business environment have been changed to the ultimate competion, diverse market and need of new technology. To enforce the international competitive power, continuous technology innovation should be propelled. But the characteristics of small and medium company make it hard to get lead of market share. The industry of transportation and stevedoring machinery also have the same situation as small and medium company. This paper try to present the way of competitive power. The Strategic technology innovation for the industry of transportation and stevedoring machinery consists of product strategy, process design strategy, infra-structure strategy and R&D. There are benefits and shortcommings to get the competitive power for the industry of transportation and stevedoring machinery. Therefore the onclusion presented that capital for reverse engineering, export policy, human resource, thechnical cooperation with the institutions are required.

  • Robust control for DC motor is needed according to the highest precision of industrial automation. It is a quite quality concerning to control temperature of single crystalline growth as it does when you get most of heat treating products. It is also Important factor to control temperature when you make the A1203(sing1e crystalline) used to artificial Jewels, glass of watches, heat resistant transparent glasses. Thus, it is a major interest to get the proper temperature in accordance with the time process while you are making mixture of oxygen and hydrogen to have the right temperature.   • In this paper, the monitoring system was developed measuring the light signal emitted from the plasma in aluminum laser welding. Spectrum of plasma was measured using a spectrometer, and the photodiode was selected based on the spectrum analysis. The sensor signals for various welding conditions could be obtained, the characteristic of signal was closely related to the intensity and stability of plasma through mean value of signal and FFT analysis. The reason of signal fluctuation was behavior of plasma and keyhole and it was also connected with the surface bead shape of weld.

  • This study develops an automation system for metallic mold design that is applicable in forging non-axial symmetric parts. The metallic mold design program is used to design the metallic mold using two-dimensional axial symmetric metallic molds and to predict the stress concentration using finite element analyses. Then, the program redesigns the metallic mold using variables such as the optimal split diameter, maximum allowable inner pressure, fit tolerance, and stress distribution, which are calculated using the metallic mold design program. When the involute spur gear is forged, stress concentration occurs on the tooth root bounded at the symmetric surface. The SCM4 material is suitable for metallic molds because the stress is less than the yield strength of the insert and it acts on the tooth root regardless of the inner pressure. The metallic mold for forging non-axial symmetric parts can be designed through adjusting the magnitude of the contact pressure. The program developed in this study can be applied to metallic mold designs in involute spur gears of forging, which is an ordinary non-axial symmetric part.

  • Smart-phone in the recently released high-end applied to the camera module is equipped with the most features auto focusing camera module. Also, auto focusing camera module is divided into voice coil motor, encoder, and piezo according to type of motion mechanism. Auto focusing camera module is composed of voice coil motor (VCM) as an actuator and leaf spring as a guide and suspension. VCM actuator is made of magnet, yoke as a metal, and coil as a copper wire. Recently, the assembly as yoke and magnet is made by human resources. These process has a long process time and it is difficult to secure quality. Also, These process is not economical in cost, and productivity is reduced. Therefore, an automatic assembly as yoke and magnet is needed in the present process. In this paper, we have developed an automatic assembly device that can automatically assemble yoke and magnet, and performed verifying performance. Therefore, by using the developed automatic assembly device, it is possible to increase the productivity and reduce the production cost.
