한국형 EMS NA Prototype용 DB 구축 (Development of Database for Network Application Softwares of Prototype Korean Energy Management Systems)

  • 본 논문은 한국형 에너지 관리 시스템(Korean Energy Management System)의 프로토타입 네트웍 어플리케이션 개발을 위한 데이터 베이스 구축에 대해 요약하였다. 본 논문에서는 두가지 측면에 집중하였다. 첫째, 각 어플리케이션 프로그램의 연산에 필요한 데이터를 추출하였다. 몇 가지 네트웍 어플리케이션 프로그램이 기저 모델로 선택되었으며 각 기저 모델에 필요한 데이터가 추출되었다. 둘째, 국내 실정에 적합한 전력계통의 토폴로지 구조 및 설비 모델에 대한 공통 모델이 구축되었다. 본 논문에서는 KEMS 너트웍 어플리케이션 프로그램에 공통으로 적용될 어플리케이션 공통 모델(application common model, ACM)을 제시하였다. 공통 모델은 계층적 비계층적 전력계통 구조를 포함하며 직간접의 데이터 링크를 이용하여 연관관계가 정의되었다. 제안한 데이터베이스 모델은 국내 전계통 데이터를 이용하여 시험되었으며 실시간 SCADA 데이터가 시험을 위해 사용되었다. 시험을 통해 제안한 데이터베이스 구조가 한국형 에너지 관리 시스템에 효과적으로 적용될 수 있음을 입증하였다.

  • Nowadays ubiquitous sensor network (USN) has been considered as a key technique in all kinds of industrial area. The main purpose of this study is to search and analyze systems in real industrial fields based on USN. USN technique has been applied into various industrial fields such as ground/underground management system, visitor counter system, monitoring system, unmanned vehicles system and so on. The result of this study will be fruitful not only for researches but also for practices in industrial fields related to USN.

  • Two novel industrial combustion technologies are introduced. High temperature air regenerative combustion for industrial heating system and oxyfuel combustion for power plant are considered as a energy saving and $CO_{2}$ emission reducing combustion technology. Research works are necessary to understand fundamental phenomena and to develope application technologies to industrial sector.

  • This paper describes nuclear energy technologies for the solution of long term energy problem with better reliability. A short overview about nuclear energy applications are explained with a basic analysis of energy. Furthermore, industrial application, space application of nuclear systems and ship propulsion in nuclear energy application are demonstrated in more detail. This report also includes some examples of the experienced nuclear power plant to identify energy production. The general purpose of the article is to understand how efficiently nuclear systems generates energy, and solve the world's increasing energy demand in our century.

Predicting Unknown Composition of a Mixture Using Independent Component Analysis

  • A suitable representation for the conceptual simplicity of the data in statistics and signal processing is essential for a subsequent analysis such as prediction, pattern recognition, and spatial analysis. Independent component analysis (ICA) is a statistical method for transforming an observed high-dimensional multivariate data into statistically independent components. ICA has been applied increasingly in wide fields of spectrum application since ICA is able to extract unknown components of a mixture from spectra. We focus on application of ICA for separating independent sources and predicting each composition using extracted components. The theory of ICA is introduced and an application to a metal surface spectra data will be described, where subsequent analysis using non-negative least square method is performed to predict composition ratio of each sample. Furthermore, some simulation experiments are performed to demonstrate the performance of the proposed approach.

전체론적 접근으로서 기민한 프로세스 디자인을 위한 IAST 모델의 건설 (Construction of IAST Model for Agile Process Design with Holistic Concept)

  • In a competitive environment, systems design should be agile to accomplish business goal. However, there are often significant problems with systems design that is manifested in the fact that there are no current techniques to apply rigorous mathematics to semantic conveyance in the design framework. As a promising solution, this paper introduces situation theory (ST) and provides an application of ST for information flow in manufacturing systems design (IDEF0). The described work in this paper addresses the procedure of creation of IAST Model (Inf-Act On in Situation Theory) which is the first application of ST in engineering fields. Finally, we show that IAST Model is very helpful for effective information capturing in systems by comparison existing methodology with developed methodology as a practical application of ST.

  • The importance of floating photovoltaic systems has recently been emerging to address some issues arising from the installation of conventional ground-mounted photovoltaics. Floating photovoltaics have a few advantages such as cutting down land usage, reducing water evaporation or creating algae. Though there is still necessity to supplement with technical issues: mechanical stability, reliability and long-term durability of floaters and modules. In this paper, we focus the current level of packaging development and introduce research trends that could be applied to next-generation floating photovoltaics.

  • The measurement in the manufacturing process of curved ship hull plates still depends on wooden templates as a standard instrument. The metrology-enabled automation in the shipbuilding process has been challenged instead of line measurement with wooden templates. The developed measurement system consists of a CCD camera, multiple structured laser sources and 3-DOF motion device. The system carries out measurement of curved profiles for large scale plates by an optical triangulation method. The results of experiment conducted in a manufacturing shop demonstrate the accurate and robust performance.

분할형 탄소복합재 자전거 프레임 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of the Split-Type Carbon Composite Bicycle Frames)

  • Finite element analysis was performed for a split-type CFRP bicycle frame, which was designed to apply a compression molding process with carbon fiber prepreg for a conventional bicycle. An epoxy adhesive material for joining the frames was selected by the extent of stress at joint interfaces. The split-type bicycle frame was then formed and its weak parts examined by the boundary conditions according to reliability tests. The results verified the reliability of the bicycle frame after modification of these weak parts. The finished product was manufactured by using this developed split-type bicycle frame.
