크기에 따른 솔레노이드 형태 RF 칩 인덕터의 주파수 특성 연구 (A Study for Frequency Characteristics of Solenoid-Type RF Chip Inductors)

  • 본 논문에서는 저손실 ${Al_2}{O_3}$ 코아 물질을 이용한 초소형 고성능 솔레노이드 형태 RF 칩 인덕터에 대하여 연구하였다. 본 논문에서 제작된 칩 인덕터의 크기는 $0.86{\times}0.46{\times}0.45m^3$, $1.5{\times}1.0{\times}0.7m^3$, $2.1{\times}1.5{\times}1.0m^3$$2.4{\times}2.0{\times}1.4m^3$으로 하였고, 코일은 $27{\sim}40{\mu}m$의 구리선을 사용하였다. 개발된 인덕터의 인덕턴스, 품질계수, 임피던스의 고주파수 특성은 HP16193A test fixture가 장착된 RF Impedance/Material Analyzer(HP4291B)를 이용하여 측정되었다. 7회 권선된 인덕터들은 13${\sim}$100nH의 인덕턴스와 6.4${\sim}$1.1GHz의 자기공진주파수를 가진다. 인덕터들의 자기공진주파수는 인덕턴스가 증가함에 따라 감소하고, 인덕터들의 직접쓰기는 300MHz${\sim}$1.3GHz의 주파수 범위에서 50${\sim}$80을 가진다. 본 연구에서는 높은 인덕턴스와 높은 직접쓰기를 갖는 초소형 솔레노이드 형태 RF 칩 인덕터가 성공적으로 제작되었다.

  • This paper presents electro-magnetic characteristics of an Interior type Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) for traction applications. The importance of instantaneous electric propulsion capability for high torque has been highlighted in the present study and thus parametric analysis is performed by Finite Element Method (FEM). The paper provides analytical & experimental results, which demonstrate a performance of the studied traction motor The goal of this paper is to present a maximum power performance for traction motor which works extension of its own rated power. Experimental results meet well with FEM analysis of traction motor owing to inductance difference.

  • A moving-coil-type linear oscillatory actuator is consisted of the NdFeB permanent magnets with high specific energy as the stator, a coil-wrapped nonmagnetic hollow rectangular structure and an iron core as a pathway for magnetic flux. The inductance of moving coil and the push/pull effect is obtained from the permeance model of LOA with the open magnetic circuit. The analytical method are verified using the 2D finite element method.

고정주파수 LCL타입 절연형 양방향 컨버터 해석 및 제어 (Analysis and Control of A Fixed Frequency LCL-type Isolated Bidirectional Converter)

  • This paper discussed the LCL-type & Isolated bidirectional dc-dc converter(BDC) with dual full bridge inverter. In order to verify the analysis of the BDC, Experimental prototype has been designed and implemented to supply constant voltage regardless of loads and proposed a method to select switching frequency that depended on two inductors' inductance ratio and transformer parameters. The proposed converter has been composed of LCL resonant network with unit inductance ratio ($L_r/L_f$=1) and then operated with fixed duty, 50% duty ratio and fixed frequency. There are some characteristics that input voltage and output voltage of the BDC is nearly identical and zero voltage turn-on switching is possible in forward and reverse mode. Finally, it has been showed that BDC is possible to commutate operating mode normally and provide constant output voltage in selected switching frequency.

SCR을 이용한 전기자동차의 속도제어장치의 설계와 시작 (A new design of the SCR type speed controller for the battery powered electric vehicles)

  • A new design method for the SCR-Chopper type speed controller of the battery-powered vehicles was developed. The conventional speed-controllers were either inductance type or contact type using resistance. In the new method, a photocoupler was used in sensing the control currents and a noncontacting type photo-conductive device (CDS) was used in mading acceleration. Experiments using these new devices showed encouraging results.

고정밀도 솔레노이드 방식의 원자로 제어봉 위치지시기 (High Precision Solenoid Type Nuclear Reactor Control Rod Position Indicator)

  • Control Rod Position Indicator in nuclear reactor vessel has developed for small reactor in Korea. Because of severe environment in reactor vessel, target of this study is to develop the suitable position indicator. In this study, solenoid type position indicator made of Mineral Insulated Cable(MI Cable) was introduced to adapt in severe environment. And inductance of the solenoid was used to indicate the rod position for high precision. But problem of this concept is that a linear slope of inductance is changed by temperature effect. To resolve this problem, two sensing coils were introduced for temperature compensation. A role of the sensing coil is to make reference linear equation about certain temperature. To confirm this concept, also, inductance of solenoid and sensing coils were measured at room and high temperature (${\sim}300^{\circ}C$). The results of measurement show that the position error of sensing coil between room and high temperature was about 2%. But it was identified that this error was resulted from insufficient test environment (temperature error between solenoid and sensing coils was about 2% at high temperature condition). Therefore, solenoid type position indicator shows that it is very suitable in reactor vessel as a high precision rod position indicator.

전기자동차용 판형 인덕션 히터의 인덕턴스 및 철손 최적설계 연구 (A study on Optimal Design for the Inductance and Coreloss of Plate Type Induction Heater for Electric Vehicle)

  • 전기자동차 배터리 시스템은 낮은 온도에서 배터리 출력과 수명이 감소하는 문제가 발생한다. 상온 유지를 목적으로 Positive Temperature Coefficient(PTC) 히터가 사용되고 있다. 하지만 PTC 히터는 복잡한 절연구조로 인해 중량이 크다. 중량이 클수록 전기자동차의 연비가 감소한다. 반면에 인덕션 히터는 단순한 절연 구조로 중량 저감에 효과적이며 빠른 온도 상승 특성을 가지고 있다. 따라서 전기자동차용 히터는 인덕션 히터가 적합하다. 인덕션 히터는 LC공진 회로로 구성된다. 정전용량이 클수록 가격과 중량이 상승하기 때문에 인덕턴스를 높여 정전용량을 감소시켜야한다. 또한 인덕션 히터의 주 발열원은 철손이다. 따라서 전자기장 설계 관점에서 인덕턴스 및 철손의 최적화가 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 인덕션 히터 구조 변경에 따른 인덕턴스 및 철손을 다구찌 기법과 유한요소법(FEM) 시뮬레이션을 통해 분석하고 최적화 설계하였다.

병렬형 하이브리드 구동용 매입형 영구자석동기전동기 설계에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Design of Flat-Type IPMSM in Parallel Hybrid Traction Application)

  • This study investigates the design factors of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(IPMSM) which is applied to Hybrid electric vehicle as a driving power. Recently, there are many studies of IPMSM for application to Hybrid Electric Vehicle, because IPMSM has characteristics of high torque, high power density and high efficiency which come from reluctance torque due to difference of inductance as well as magnet torque. This study analyzes the inductance and design characteristics of IPMSM by using finite element method and focuses on design and analysis of IPMSM which can operates with high efficiency at low speed range. For this embodiment, magnet shape is changed from conventional block type to arc type without any change of outline dimension of motor and this change of magnet shape makes it possible to increase back EMF and sinusoidal waveform. Analysis results are verified by test of improved and embodied motor. As a test result , increased back EMF and sharply decrease of harmonics are secured and through this contribution of reduced fuel consumption of Hybrid electric vehicle is expected.

  • This study deals with the optimal design of a DC reactor type high-Tc superconducting fault current limiter(SFCL). The condition in which the cost function is minimized under given constraints is one of the things to be first considered in developing SFCLS. This condition is a group of the values corresponding to the variables the cost function depends on. In this paper, the length of tape was taken as a dependent variable, the inductance of DC reactor and the turns ratio of magnetic core reactors as independent variables. For the SFCL available at the level of 6.6kV-200A, we examined 4 cases; at the fault times of 80msec, 50msec, 30msec and 10msec. Since thyristors would be utilized instead of diodes, we chose the result at 10msec as the basic data. Considering safety factor 30%, our optimal design was decided to be the inductance 570mH, the critical current over 620A, the turns ratio 0.89 and the fault time within 20msec.

저전력, 고주파, 고효율 자성박막 변압기 설계 및 제작에 대한 연구 (Design and Fabrication of Low-Power, High-Frequency, High-Performance Magnetic Thin Film Transformer)

  • In this paper, the low power (1.5 W) solenoid-type magnetic thin-film transformers utilizing a $Ni_{81}Fe_{19)$ core material were designed and fabricated for 5 MHz-drive DC-DC converter application. The $20\mum$ thick copper films were used as the coils. The transformers fabricated in this work have the sizes of $3.08 mm\times25.5 mm\; and\; 6.15 mm\times12.75 mm.$ The optimum design of solenoid-type magnetic thin film transformers was performed utilizing the conventional equations, a Maxwell computer simulator (Ansoft HFSS V7.0 for PC), and parameters obtained from the magnetic properties of NiFe magnetic core materials. frequency characteristics of inductance, dc resistance (R), coupling factor (k) and gain of developed transformers were measured using HP4194A impedance and gain-phase analyzer. The fabricated transformers with the size of $6.15 mm\time12.75 mm$ exhibit the inductance of $0.83 \muH$, the dc resistance of $2.3\Omega$$\Omega$, the k of 0.91 and the gain of -1 dB at 5 MHz, which show the comparable results to those reported in the recent literatures. The measured high-frequency characteristics for the fabricated transformers agreed well with those obtained by theoretical calculations .
