A robust position sensing system is proposed in this paper for a ubiquitous mobile robot which moves indoors as well as outdoors. The Differential GPS (DGPS) which has a position estimation error of less than 5 m is a general solution when the mobile robot is moving outdoor, while an active beacon system (ABS) with embedded ultrasonic sensors is reliable as an indoor positioning system. The switching from the outdoor to indoor or vice versa causes unstable measurements on account of the reference coordinates and algorithm changes. To minimize the switching time in the position estimation and to stabilize the measurement, a robust position sensing system is proposed. In the system, to minimize the switching delay, the door positions are stored and updated in a database. Using the database, the approaching status of the mobile robot from indoor to outdoor or vice versa has been checked and the switching conditions are prepared before the mobile robot actually moves out or moves into the door. The reliability and accuracy of the robust positioning system based on DGPS and ABS are verified and demonstrated through the real experiments using a mobile robot prepared for this research.

Author investigated internal parasitism for the feces of dog's training center, breeding-dog farm, dairy farm, home by 120 indoor breeding dog and 566 outdoor one in Inchon area. This survey was done from February in 1994 to December in 1995. 1. As a result of total 686 samples, positives were 373(54.4%). Among them, indoor and outdoor breeding dogs were 21(3.1%) 352(51.3%), respectively. 2. According to breeding, it was manifested that 21samples (17.5%) of 120 indoor breeding dogs were positive, and 352 samples(62.2%) of outdoor breeding were positive. 3. The infection rate of dogs for food in dairy farm, breeding dogs in the farm, dog of training center and dog of house is high in order. 4. Infection rate of parasites in 24 dogs breeds, Mongrel dogs were 81.3%, Shepherds were 80.0%, Tosas were 78.4%, Akida and Siberian huskys were 76.2%, Jindos were 55.5%, Pointers were 50.0%, although Afghan hound, Spanial, Shin-tzu, Maltis and Buldog were examined as aparasites negative. 5. After administration with vermicide parasites infection rate were 43.0% in two months. In four months, it were 66.7%, and dogs without vermicide were 87.0%. It seemed like that further research about dosage of vermicide is needed. 6. The rate of single-infection was 37.6% and that of mixed-infection was 16.8%. Among classified 13 types, Ancylostoma caninum 35.6%, Toxocara cams 11.2%, Isospora sp 9.3%, Toxascaris leonina 5.1%, Trychuris vulpis 4.4% were investigated.

This study evaluated the types of daily routines that occurred in child care centers based on four general categorizations: time spent on indoor free choice activities, outdoor activities, group activities and special activities. In addition, resulting child care teacher behaviors were examined based on daily routine types. A total 23 classes' activity times and teacher behaviors were observed. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, hierarchical cluster, and Mann-Whitney U. Results indicated that there were 2 principle daily routine, 'indoor/outdoor activity time oriented' and 'group activity time oriented'. Analysis showed that teachers who belonged to the 'indoor/outdoor activity time oriented' type showed more positive affect, positive guidance, neural guidance, and less non-involved behavior. Results suggest the importance of time spent on free choice activities in the context of daily routine for quality childcare.

최근 실내 위치 추적시스템과 실외 위치 추적시스템은 다른 방식으로 운영되고 있다. 실내 측위 기법으로는 WiFi와 BLE beacon을 이용한 측위를 이용하고, 실외 측위는 GPS와 PDR을 이용한다. 본 논문에서는 이를 혼용하여 위치를 측정하기 위한 기기로 모바일기기 대표적으로 스마트폰을 기반으로 측정할 때, 실내인지 실외인지를 확인하여 실내에서 운영되는 기법을 이용하다가 실외로 이동할 때 GPS로 자동으로 변환 시켜주는 방식이 필요하다. 실내에서 GPS를 이용하였을 경우 층이나 공간의 구분이 어렵다. 이를 해결하기 위한 방식을 제안한다.

The characteristics of energy Performance for total heat exchanger have been investigated under various conditions. In cooling operation the latent and enthalpy efficiency are affected by the difference of absolute humidity ratio between indoor and outdoor air. In addition to this the characteristics of absorbing material in the element affects the energy performance. Low dry bulb temperature of indoor air or high absolute humidity ratio in outdoor air give high latent and enthalpy efficiency even with the same temperature difference of dry bulb temperate between indoor and outdoor air.

Contemporary Suburban House is a kind of 'Urban House in nature' that urban middle class peoples elect voluntarily to raise life quality and make their own identity. Therefore, 'The Relationship with Nature' is an essential item in the design of Suburban House. But in the site plan of Suburban House, 'The Nature' as outdoor space is only the rest of the indoor space. The outdoor space is hold in common visually but not actually. 'The Nature' is not a labour ground as the case in rural society but a background of village. The plan of Suburban House is based on the urban apartment plan. So in plan, 'The Nature' is also an object for contemplation as the case in urban house. The outline of the plan as a border line between indoor space and outdoor space is controlled uniformally and 'The Nature' is linked only visually in the direction the resident wants to see.

최근 실내 공간 내에서의 위치 정보를 이용한 공간정보 서비스가 실외공간에서 제공되는 서 비스만큼 공간정보시스템의 중요한 응용분야로 자리 잡고 있다. 실외 공간과 달리, 실내 공간의 위치 정보는 좌표기반이 아닌, 방 번호와 같은 기호를 기반으로 표현된다. 따라서 실내공간에서 이동객체의 위치를 추적하기 위해서는 이동객체의 현재 위치를 이용하여 좌표정보를 예측하는 것이 아니라, 기호적 추론이 필요하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 RFID센서를 이용하여 이동객체의 위치를 항상 명시적으로 결정할 수 있는 추적가능 실내 기호공간을 위한 프레임웍을 제안한다. 우선, 실내기호공간과 실내기호공간에서의 위치추적에 대한 개념을 소개하고, 추적 가능한 실내 기호공간을 위한 접근성 그래프를 정의한다. 둘째로, RFID 리더기의 배치방법, 추적 가능한 실내기호공간을 위한 접근성 그래프 생성방법과 이를 이용한 위치 추적방법을 제시한다. 마지막으로, 제시한 방법의 유효성을 보이기 위하여 실험결과를 보인다.

This study were conducted to estimate property of nitrogen dioxide concentration at industrial areas in Korea. The nitrogen dioxide concentrations were measured for 50 dwellings at Ulsan and Yeochon, respectively using the nitrogen dioxide filter badge forming the passive sampler from summer time 1998 to winter time 1999. The major results obtained from this study were as follows: 1. The mean indoor, outdoor, and personal concentrations of nitrogen dioxide during summer time 1998 in Ulsan were 28.9 ppb, 24.8 ppb, 24.8 pub, respectively. 2. The mean indoor, outdoor, and personal concentrations of nitrogen dioxide during winter time 1999 in Yeochon were 11.4 ppb, 12.5 ppb, 15.5 ppb, respectively. 3. The mean concentration of nitrogen dioxide during winter time 1998 were higher than the corresponding levels during summer time 1997 in Ulsan. 4. The mean concentration of nitrogen dioxide in Ulsan were in general higher than the corresponding levels in Yeochon. 5. This results in slightly positive correlation among indoor, outdoor, and personal nitrogen dioxide concentrations for summer time in Ulsan, then it statistical significance is showed(p <.05). These results suggest that nitrogen dioxide concentrations in industrial areas seem to be affected by traffic density and conditions of industrialization.

본 논문에서는 불규칙한 각도 퍼짐을(Random Angle Spread) 가지는 실내와 실외 무선통신환경에서의 초광대역(UWB) 클러스터 신호들의 도착 방향을(Angle-of-Arrival) 추정하기 위하여 초광대역 신호 모형을 고려한다. 기존의 UWB 방향 추정 알고리즘은 다중경로 신호와 클러스터 방향을 모두 추정하는 과정으로 복잡한데, 이를 극복하기 위해 클러스터 자체 방향만을 따로 추정할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 잘 알려진 다중신호분류(MUSIC) 알고리즘을 기반으로 한 추정 기술을 제안하고 제안된 추정 기술에 의하여 수신 클러스터에 대한 도착 방향 추정치가 얻어진다. 제안한 신호 모형과 추정 기술은 컴퓨터 모의실험에 의하여 증명된다.

본 연구에서는 냉방운전 시 가변용량방식의 압축기를 적용한 시스템 에어컨의 냉방능력과 증발기 및 응축기의 온도특성을 조사하기 위해 압축기 운전율(10가지)과 실내외 온도(16가지)의 변화에 따른 시스템의 운전특성을 실험적으로 조사하였다. 시스템의 운전특성은 칼로리미터를 이용하여 측정되었다. 냉방능력은 실외온도가 낮아질수록 실내온도가 증가할수록 더 큰 값을 그리고 압축기 운전율이 증가할수록 냉방능력은 선형적으로 증가하였다. 응축온도는 실외온도 변화에 증발온도는 실내온도 변화에 더 민감하였다. 또한 압력-엔탈피선도를 이용하여 사이클의 운전특성을 분석하였다.
