An Operational Strategy for Inventory Control of Networked Regional Distribution Centers (지역통합 네트워크관리하의 재고통제 운용전략에 관한 연구)

  • Operational strategy for inventory control in the distribution system has been given attention. If an individual enterprise implements the strategy, it is not easy to gain scale merits because of limited quantity or burden of inventory. In this study, we propose an operational strategy for inventory control that considers managerial integration of regional distribution centers (RDCs) and present a model of it. In a network of several RDCs, they could share inventory information and supply parts for others in case of an inventory shortage. And a numerical example of the network is illustrated, which compares two operational strategies, integration management of RDCs and individual management of them. The result shows total cost reduction in the strategy of integration management through the efficient inventory control of multi-echelon distribution.

  • As The development and commercialization of advanced technologies will depend increasingly on efficient technology transfer and technology trading systems and the knowledge economics grows rapidly, the value of intangible assets is more emphasized in business nowadays. Intangible assets include intellectual capital and intellectual property. This requires the development of technology markets or exchanges and hence a reliable technology valuation methodology. Our focus is on the business aspects of technology' contribution and we propose an objective scoring system, which is implemented by ANP, for Technology valuation of enterprise. As a result, This study intends to evaluate the contribution of an individual technology in intangible assets by the Analytic Network Process(ANP).

DNA Sequence Classification Using a Generalized Regression Neural Network and Random Generator (난수발생기와 일반화된 회귀 신경망을 이용한 DNA 서열 분류)

  • A classifier was constructed by using a generalized regression neural network (GRU) and random generator (RG), which was applied to classify DNA sequences. Three data sets evaluated are eukaryotic and prokaryotic sequences (Data-I), eukaryotic sequences (Data-II), and prokaryotic sequences (Data-III). For each data set, the classifier performance was examined in terms of the total classification sensitivity (TCS), individual classification sensitivity (ICS), total prediction accuracy (TPA), and individual prediction accuracy (IPA). For a given spread, the RG played a role of generating a number of sets of spreads for gaussian functions in the pattern layer Compared to the GRNN, the RG-GRNN significantly improved the TCS by more than 50%, 60%, and 40% for Data-I, Data-II, and Data-III, respectively. The RG-GRNN also demonstrated improved TPA for all data types. In conclusion, the proposed RG-GRNN can effectively be used to classify a large, multivariable promoter sequences.

  • To support Quality of Service (QoS) in the existing Internet, Differentiated Service (Diff-Serv) has been proposed. But, the unfairness between TCP connections remains as a serious problem not only in the conventional best-effort service Internet but also in new Diff-Serv network. In this paper, we propose the Balancing Marker Algorithm (BMA) improving the fairness between individual connections of aggregated sources in a Diff-Serv network. This algorithm is based on the 3-level priority marking method. We compared the 2-level packet priority marker with the Balancing Marker proposed in this paper. And we showed that the BMA improved the fairness and the throughputs between the individual connections with different delays in an aggregated source.

  • By using social network analysis, this study examined 102 countries, 281 ports, and 6,318 maritime routes associated with the global network of the Maersk Line. With the 'Belt and Road' in place, China is developing ports, expanding the cooperation with major ports, and increasing its influence on maritime transport. China's ports' reform and development implies establishing stable and independent logistic networks for supply of raw materials as well as exports and imports. This is closely related not only to individual ports' competitiveness, but also to relational structures between maritime powerhouses such as the US-which has the largest share and influence in the global market-and the surrounding countries. In this regard, an analysis of the maritime transport needs to consider the characteristics of individual ports together with those of each country. This study identified the characteristics of each port in light of the relationships in the global network of Maersk and applied them to each country. Moreover, the individual networks of China, the US, and Korea are compared. The findings showed that China, the US, Panama, Malaysia, and Spain accounted for large shares of the global network, while the shares of China, Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam were high in China's network. In addition, by comparing individual networks of China, the US, and Korea, it emerged that Korean ports such as Busan and Gwangyang had secured a high level of competitiveness in the Chinese network.

  • My purpose in this paper is to construct what I call "the space of hope" for the individual′s unfettered interpretation of the world and examine its ethical and political potential. 1 discuss the network of context to define the nature and scope of the space and also suggest that the individual′s interpretation of the world should be deemed a form of ethical practice or commitment. 1 would like to add that the term context, which refers, among other things, to the organic and dynamic relationship between individual and community, is meant to be strategic: it presupposes productive malleability, even slipperiness, in order to destabilize the institutional or ideological hierarchy between center and margin and enhance the individual′s self-conscious negotiation with his or her own community. It is my contention that every act of interpretation is always under some kind of contextual pressure and that the individual is able, in turn, to define and construct the context. This interaction represents a way to guard against the inimical force of totalization in the realms of theory and practice and can be summed up, that is, tentatively and strategically, in the idea of positionality.

  • Many classical network analysis methods approach networks in aspatial perspectives. Measuring network reliability and finding critical nodes in particular, the analyses consider only network connection topology ignoring spatial components in the network such as node attributes and edge distances. Using local network autocorrelation measure, this study handles the problem. By quantifying similarity or clustering of individual objects' attributes in space, local autocorrelation measures can indicate significance of individual nodes in a network. As an application, this study analyzed internet backbone networks in the United States using both classical disjoint product method and Getis-Ord local G statistics. In the process, two variables (population size and reliability) were applied as node attributes. The results showed that local network autocorrelation measures could provide local clusters of critical nodes enabling more empirical and realistic analysis particularly when research interests were local network ranges or impacts.

  • This treatise studies composing process that renew information mastered by interactive experience between environment and system via network among individuals. In the previous study map information regarding free space is learned by using of reinforced learning algorithm, which enable each individual to construct optimal action policy. Based on those action policy each individuals can obtain optimal path. Moreover decision process to distinguish best optimal path by comparing those in the network composed of each individuals is added. Also information about the finally chosen path is being updated. A self renewing method of each system information by sharing the each individual data via network is proposed Data enrichment by shilling the information of many maps not in the single map is tried Numerical simulation is conducted to confirm the propose concept. In order to prove its suitability experiment using micro-mouse by integrating and comparing the information between individuals is carried out in various types of map to reveal successful result.

Social Capital and Migration: A Case Study of Rural Vietnam

  • To investigate the short-run effects of social capital on migration decisions of individuals in the rural areas of Vietnam, we conducted dataset mining and performed regression model analysis in the form of panel data. As control variables, we employed the variable of social capital, which is measured by an individual's network, as well as demographic characteristics of individuals and households. We discovered that when a household is in financial distress, social networks such as linkages or asking for aid from others often enhance individual capacity. Individuals with a large social network outside of their immediate area are more inclined to relocate to the location where their connectors live. Individual participation and degree of participation in the organizational community, on the other hand, have little bearing on the likelihood of migration. In addition, this research examines theories and empirical research on the relationship between social capital and migration. Based on our research findings, we have recommended some measures to boost the efficiency of social capital and migration in rural areas of Vietnam through local government solutions.

  • Recently, Cyber threats that is doing intelligence and sophistication from the organization's information assets to secure order technical disciplines, as well as managerial and environmental sectors, such as mind-response system is must established. In this paper, possible to analyze the case for the theory in network security, such as the logical network and physical network separation suitable for the corporate environment and constantly respond and manage the Information Security Management Model A secure network design is proposed. In particular, the proposed model improvements derived from the existing network, network improvements have been made in order to design improved ability to respond to real-time security and central manageability, security threats, pre-emptive detection and proactive coping, critical equipment in the event of a dual hwalreu through applied features such as high-availability, high-performance, high-reliability, ensuring separation of individual network security policy integrated management of individual network, network security directional.
