The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of ongoing feedback from the professor in students' processes of learning and developing writing skills. Specifically, the researcher was concerned with how ongoing feedback affected students' attitudes towards writing because in EFL contexts, motivating students to write is a first step to engage them in a challenging journey of academic writing. 20 freshmen taking a writing course, "Paragraph & Essay Writing", at A university participated in this study and they were asked to complete the questionnaire at the end of the spring semester 2009. The results revealed that receiving ongoing feedback from the professor had a positive influence on affective domain, was helpful to develop learning strategies, and was valuable in learning outcomes. However, they also expressed negative opinions: feeling a burden, focusing on forms, and feeling confused. To reflect their opinions, the following four suggestions were made to create a more effective learning environment: promoting learner autonomy, facilitating individual writing conferences, giving balanced feedback in between form and content, and using judicious feedback through careful streaming.

In general, utility voltage is maintained at a relatively low level of Phase unbalance since a low level of unbalance can cause a significant power supply ripple and heating effects on the power system equipment. Voltage unbalance more commonly emerges in individual customer loads due to phase load unbalanced, especially where single phase power loads are used. Under unbalanced input voltages large lower order harmonics appears at the input and output ports of Power conversion devices. As the application of adjustable -speed drives (ASDs) and their integration with complex industrial processes increase, so does the need to understand how ASDs perform during voltage This paper describes a real load test to investigate the performance of 3-HP adjustable speed drives by an unbalanced voltage at the low-voltage system.

The Purposes of this article are to find Christian religion and Germany expressionism which were background of Nolde's art and analyze formation and special quality, expression mode of holy picture. If synthesize contents of these analysis, we could know that faith is giving religious inspiration continuously during his lift to Protestant experience through the Bible. Though there is some difference by time but we could foretell that he accomplished modern holy picture of new sensitivity by doing individual expression with equal Bible subject traditionally in 20th century that change unlike existent holy picture with these motive power. That is, with new trend which religious inspiration as imagination which spring up in experience that is not experience of artificial Christian religion is then expressionism various that historically, he accomplished unique holy picture to related each other with the historic event.

Recently, many on-line approaches to instrument channel surveillance (drift monitoring and fault detection) have been reported worldwide. On-line monitoring (OLM) method evaluates instrument channel performance by assessing its consistency with other plant indications through parametric or non-parametric models. The heart of an OLM system is the model giving an estimate of the true process parameter value against individual measurements. This model gives process parameter estimate calculated as a function of other plant measurements which can be used to identify small sensor drifts that would require the sensor to be manually calibrated or replaced. This paper describes an improvement of auto-associative kernel regression by introducing a correlation coefficient weighting on kernel distances. The prediction performance of the developed method is compared with conventional auto-associative kernel regression.

The purpose of this paper was the analysis of Buddhistic views of fertilization, abortion and birth referred to in the Code of Buddhism. The findings of my analysis of the allusions of the Code are as follows. 1. Modern science holds the view that in fertilization the spermatozoom and the ovum are the essential factors, while the Buddhistic view is that here must be the entry of a reincarnated soul ( 中有 ; jung-yu) into fertilization. 2. In Buddhism, fertilization is regarded as the giving of a new life and the receiving a life which consists of the sufferings, both physical and mental in nature, of the individual to be born. 3. Artificial abortion in any case is stictly prohibited because it is regarded as taking life. 4. Birth perse is assumed to consist of suffering for both the mother and the child itself. Therefore, these are analogous to the perinatoloty of modern science.

A great many species of fish congregate in schools, reducing the risk of being eaten by predators and giving one of the considerable survival advantages for fishes. Such a fish school is self-organized only due to individual behaviors for matching the speed and direction with the neighboring fishes. It is interesting to simulate these fish school by small robots, because we can understand how the group structure emerges from the interaction among neighboring individuals. We use a nice simulator for Khepera robot presented by Oliver Michel. It is shown that the Khepera simulator is easily applied to fish school due to the algorithm introduced by I Aoki. The simulator includes sensor noise so appropriately that the simulator can be transferred easily to the real environment. A New Method of Extracting the Filter Characteristics of the Nasal Cavity Using Homorganic Nasal-Stop Sequences: A Preliminary R eportHansang ParkThis study provides a new method of extracting the filter characteristics of the nasal cavity. Korean lenis stops are realized as voiced in the homorganic nasal-lenis stop sequences between vowels. Since the only difference between the two members of the homorganic nasal- lenis stop sequences, such as [mb], [nd], and [ g], is whether the passage to the nasal cavity is open or not, the subtraction of the LPC spectrum of the voiced stop from that of the preceding nasal leads to the filter characteristics of the nasal cavity of an individual speaker regardless of place of articulation. The results suggest that various attempts should be made to extract a robust filter characteristics of the nasal cavity by giving variation to LPC coefficients and by paying particular attention to speech samples. This study is significant in that it provides a preliminary report about a new method of extracting the filter characteristics of the nasal cavity.

This research proposes a new advanced control method and demonstrates its realization in part. By incorporating shape machining and cutting force control at a time, this integrated scheme makes it possible to machine a desired shape and avoid the trouble of programming feedrate and spindle speed before machining and also reduce the shape error. The main idea proposed to achieve those goals consists in giving commanded path and desired cutting force at the same time. which makes it possible for position and force controller to distribute the corresponding velocity of individual axes and main spindle by an appropriate interpolation. That indicates we can replace the built-in interpolator of commercial machine tools by the developed algorithm.

The purpose of this study is to preview artistic presentation, factors of designing and ornamentation, to provide useful information to the wedding dress industry in developing consumer-oriented design of wedding dress. Also, this study is to investigate relativity between individual characteristics, such as demographic character and body figures, and preference of consumers, in order to learn if there is any pattern of consumers decision making, and to help consumers by giving tips for their wedding dress shopping. According to this study, I can see that when modern South-Korean adult women choose their wedding dress, they consider many factors just like silhouette, detail, fabric material and so on, then they select their own best dress by grasping their body characteristics.

Mycotoxins are a group of toxicants giving a risk potential to human health in connection with the daily food intake. Food commodities once contaminated with mycotoxins can not be detoxified by any economic means and prevention was suggested as the only measure. In order to minimize the economic loss and health hazard posed by mycotoxins and toxicoses, systematic and toxicological studies on the subject should be undertaken. Most reports in Korea were concentrated on the mycological studies of relatively easy techniques and the confirmation or quantitation of mycotoxins was rarely done. Research topics to be undertaken in future may be exemplifid below: (1) Establishing assay methods for individual or multi-residue of mycotoxins (2) Monitoring of mycotoxins for suspicious food or feed samples in Korea (3) Epidemiological survey of mycotoxicoses (4) Etiological survey of disease outbreaks associated with mycotoxins (5) Accumulation of testing method and data on the toxicity of mycotoxins (6) Legal regulation to control mycotoxins and development of their detoxification / elimination methods
