  • As digital evidence has a highly influential role in proving the innocence of suspects, methods for integrity verification of such digital evidence have become essential in the digital forensic field. Most surveillance camera systems are not equipped with proper built-in integrity protection functions. Because digital forgery techniques are becoming increasingly sophisticated, manually determining whether digital content has been falsified is becoming extremely difficult for investigators. Hence, systematic approaches to forensic integrity verification are essential for ascertaining truth or falsehood. We propose an integrity determination method that utilizes the structure of the video content in a Video Event Data Recorder (VEDR). The proposed method identifies the difference in frame index fields between a forged file and an original file. Experiments conducted using real VEDRs in the market and video files forged by a video editing tool demonstrate that the proposed integrity verification scheme can detect broken integrity in video content.

  • It is restricted on CPU ability, memory, display size and networking to process GIS data on ubiquitous-based terminal. For that reason, we tried to improve the cadastral electronic file to solve these problems in this paper. The format of old cadastral electronic files is not efficient because it is made of file structure. So, it has inconvenience to let us read whole file, displaying on the screen and connecting to geographic objects by adding index file like database for connecting to geographic object and displaying on the screen. The file size was decreased to 27.6% of original file size through converting format.

  • Recently, Vector of Locally Aggregated Descriptors (VLAD) has been proposed to index image by compact representations, which encodes powerful local descriptors and makes significant improvement on search performance with less memory compared against the state of art. However, its performance relies heavily on the size of the codebook which is used to generate VLAD representation. It indicates better accuracy needs higher dimensional representation. Thus, more memory overhead is needed. In this paper, we enhance VLAD image representation by using two level hierarchical-codebooks. It can provide more accurate search performance while keeping the VLAD size unchanged. In addition, hierarchical-codebooks are used to construct multiple inverted files for more accurate non-exhaustive search. Experimental results show that our method can make significant improvement on both VLAD image representation and non-exhaustive search.

  • PID control has been well used for several decades. For PID algorithms, some tuning methods are used for selecting PID parameters and with these selected parameters, PID control system is designed. But in some cases various kinds of performance indices are used instead of well-known tuning rules, and so variable type of performance index must be tested so that the designed control system meets the some specifications. For 2 DOF PID controller design this paper presents a linear combinational type of performance indices constituting of index for robust performance, which is obtained by h infinity norm of a weighted complementary sensitivity function, including other time domain indices such as error, energy and changing rate of control input. By numerical methods, the optimal 2 DOF PID parameters are obtained. Therefore various types of 2 degree of freedom PID controllers such as I-PD controller are used so that this two degree of freedom PID controllers may give more desirable output characteristics. Simulations are done with MATLAB m file and mdl files.

  • As the mobile devices have powerful CPUs and memories, it is possible to carry the large volumes of design drawings, such as DXF files, on mobile devices. However, since the format of a DXF file is the ASCII, it has the shortcoming where the size of a file is larger than a binary formatted file and it is difficult to display the entities of drawings quickly on mobile devices. In this paper, we design the DXF manager system on a smart phone. To speed up the rate of the display and panning, the DXF manager hires the spatial index, the fixed grid file. We also implement the system on the Samsung Omnia-1$^{(R)}$ to exploit the Windows Mobile$^{(R)}$ operating system.

  • Due to the increasing use of smart phones, using Wifi, Wibro of mobile devices spread. Accordingly, Need of using peer-to-peer file sharing between mobile devices is growing. However, common Peer-to-Peer(P2P) system is too complex and is not suitable to be applied to mobile devices. Thus, the need of research has shown to improve way in a mobile environment that has a constraints as mobility and the scope of communication. Among them, there is a Chord as contents look up algorithm. Chord is the issue. Chord as the DHT-based P2P protocol shares files, index-key and distributed key across the network. However, exist Chord doesn't consider the mobility. So, It has a lot of problems in the mobile environment. Thus, in this paper, I will try to explore an appropriate way of Chord in a mobile environment.

  • The SECS(SEMI Equipment Communications Standard) is a standard protocol for communication between equipments and a host in semiconductor processes. This paper proposes the implementation of the HSMS(High-speed SECS Message Services) as an interface for transmission of the SECS messages and SECS-II containing message contents defined as an SEMI standard. The HSMS driver is implemented as a type of the daemon program and several DLL files. The SECS-II composes of the SML(SECS Message Language) file defining the SECS messages, the SML translator being able to interpret and transform the SML, and the data index table being able to refer to SECS messages. We also define the shared parameter to exchange the HSMS header and SECS message between the HSMS and the SECS-II. Eventually, to show the effectiveness of the proposed drivers, we test the SECS communications between equipments and a host using the implemented communication programs.

  • In this study, we the estimated surface normalized difference vegetation index by using the KOrea Multi-Purpose SATellite-3 (KOMPSAT-3) multi-spectral images for comparative analysis. The estimated NDVI from KOMPSAT-3 is used as for comparison with the high resolution GeoEye products. The geometry conditions for atmospheric effects are selected from meta files of KOMPSAT-3 bundle data. The used geometry conditions are consist of solar zenith angle, solar azimuth angle, viewing zenith angle, viewing azimuth angle, and date. And, Atmospheric effects such as attenuation, scattering and absorption were physically simulated from water vapor, ozone and aerosol information. Generally, although ground measurements are important for accurate information, in this study, MODIS atmospheric products are used as atmospheric constituents. The surface reflectance from radiative transfer model is utilized for estimating vegetation index. The present study, to reduce atmospheric and geometry conditions between KOMPSAT-3 and GeoEye having difference observation characteristics, data acquisition time is carefully determined for reliable vegetation spectral characteristics.

  • Although conventional index structures provide various nearest-neighbor search algorithms for high-dimensional data, there are additional requirements to increase search performances as well as to support index scalability for large scale data. To support these requirements, we propose a distributed high-dimensional indexing structure based on cluster systems, called a Distributed Vector Approximation-tree (DVA-tree), which is a two-level structure consisting of a hybrid spill-tree and VA-files. We also describe the algorithms used for constructing the DVA-tree over multiple machines and performing distributed k-nearest neighbors (NN) searches. To evaluate the performance of the DVA-tree, we conduct an experimental study using both real and synthetic datasets. The results show that our proposed method contributes to significant performance advantages over existing index structures on difference kinds of datasets.
