Characteristics of Alpha Particle Track on Cellulose Nitrate Film (Cellulose Nitrate의 알파입자비적특성(粒子飛跡特性))

  • A study on the characteristics of ${\alpha}$-particle track on cellulose nitrate film was carried out with a particular emphasis on the dependence of track diameter upon chemical etching condition. The track diameters etched in KOH solution appeared to be, on average, three times larger than those etched in NaOH under the same etching condition. The relationship between the track diameters and both etching time and the energy of incident ${\alpha}$-particles was also investigated. It is shown that the particle fluence rate is fairly independent of etching time as far as the condition of irradiation remains unchanged.

Growth Characteristics of Thick $\textrm{SiO}_2$ Using $\textrm{O}_3$/TEOS APCVD ($\textrm{O}_3$/TEOS를 이용한 후막 $\textrm{SiO}_2$의 성장특성 연구)

  • We have studied the deposition characteristics of thick silicon dioxide film on Si substrate by $O_3$/TEOS APCVD(Atmospheric Pressure Chemical Vapor Deposition). The effect of deposition parameters such as the distance between showerhead and substrate, deposition temperature, TEOS flow rate and $O_3$/TEOS ratio on deposition rate, surface morphology, and properties of films as investigated. As deposition temperature increased, deposition rate decreased but the surface morphology and adhesion of film to substrate improved. As the distance between showerhead and substrate decreased, the deposition rate increased. Etching rate using the BOE increased as TEOS flow rate increased, but was independent of$ O_3$/TEOS ratio. Deposition rate of $5\mu\textrm{m}$/hour was obtained under the condition that the distance between showerhead and substrate was 5mm and the deposition temperature was $370^{\circ}C$.

A Behavior of the Wet Etching of CoNbZr/Cu/CoNbZr Multi-Layer Films (CoNbZr/Cu/CoNbZr 다층막의 습식 식각 거동)

  • We manufactured CoNbZr/Cu/CoNbZr multi-layer films by rf magnetron sputtering methods and formed the patterns on the deposited multi-layer films. In this study, we fabricated a new etchant for forming the patterns by the wet etching with etchant and we searched for the best etching conditions and the etchant composition. Cu was etched selectively independent on the concentration of iron chloride solution, but amorphous CoNbZr thin film did not. The etchant was achieved by iron chloride solution(17.5 mol%) mixed with HF (20 mol%) during 150 sec, which etched CoNbZr/Cu/CoNbZr multi-layer films at the same time. Also, the etchant etched CoNbZr/Cu/CoNbZr multi-layer films by the three-step. It was shown that the cross-section had the isotropic structure and excellent etching characteristics with the above etchant.

  • There is a many way of LPRE throttling methods, high-pressure-drop systems, dual-manifold injector, gas injection, multiple chambers, pulse modulation and movable injector components. Especially dual-manifold injector is essentially combines two fixed-area injectors into a common structure, with independent feed systems controlling flow to each injector manifold. In this paper, using indirect photography and liquid film thickness measurement with various injection pressure and tangential entry diameter to decide stability of spray over a wide thrust range in dual manifold injector.

Growth and characterization of BON thin films prepared by low frequency RF plasma enhanced MOCVD method

  • It was first time that low frequency R.F. derived plasma enhanced MOCVD with frimethylborate precursor was used to fabricate a new ternary compound $BO_{x}$ $N_{y}$ . The formation of BON molecule was resulted from nitrogen nitrifying B-O, and forming the angular molecule structure proved by XPS and FT-IR results. The relationship between hardness and film thickness was studied. An thickness-independent hardness was fond about 10 GPa. The empirical calculation of band-gap and UV test result showed that our deposited $BO_{x}$ $N_{y}$ thin film was semiconductor material with 3.4eV of wide band gap. The electrical conductivity, $4.8$\times$10^{-2}$ /($\Omega$.cm)$^{-1}$ also confirmed that $BO_{x}$ $N_{y}$ has a semiconductor property. The roughness detected from the as-grown films showed that there was no serious bombarding effect due to anion in the plasma occurring in the RF frequency derived plasma.

Characteristics of Postmodernity in Chinese Animation Films

  • At a specific juncture in industrial development, animation emerges as a product imbued with discernible features characteristic of the mechanical replication era. Through the integration of technology, it continually gives rise to postmodern cultural traits. Notably, the trajectories of postmodernism in China and Western Europe exhibit divergence. Following the reform and opening up, both postmodernism and modernism found acceptance and became interwoven. Chinese animated films, influenced by postmodernism, actively challenge traditional animation norms, exemplifying postmodern characteristics such as deconstruction, intertextuality, indeterminacy, collage, and diversity. This article endeavors to delve into the discourse surrounding postmodernism in both Western and Chinese contexts. It aims to scrutinize the manifestation of postmodern features, particularly with regard to ethnic elements, traditional mythological texts, and gender representations in Chinese animated films. Consequently, it becomes imperative to contemplate the affirmative adaptation and independent development of postmodernism within the unique Chinese milieu. Building upon an analysis of noteworthy traditional animated film genres and developmental trends in China, this study focuses on animated films from the 21st century, specifically Monkey King: Hero is Back, Big Fish & Begonia, Dahufa, White Snake and Nezha: Birth of the Demon Child. The paper seeks to explore the overarching characteristics of postmodernity reflected in the linguistic environment of postmodernism in China.

Pharmacoat Coating in an Aqueous System : The Dissolution Behavior and Reduction in Coating Time

  • It is sometimes said lately that the pH of the human gastric juice is significantly different among individuals. Thus, the dissolution behavior of coated solid dosage forms should preferably be independent of the pH of the test solution. With these points as a background, the effect of pH on the dissolution velocity of coated tablets was studied to compare that of Pharmacoat with other gastric soluble film coating materials. Three viscosity types of Pharmacoat have been available(3, 6 and 15cP) until now. the 6cP type has been considered to be the most suitable for a tablet coating amongst the three types. The 3 cP type with a low degree of polymerization, is capable of providing high concentration, but the film strength is so inferior that sometimes cracking of the film may occur. On the other hand, in the case of the 15cP type, high polymer concentration cannot be achieved because of the high dgree of polymerization, and thus it is uneconomical for coating. Now, there is a strong demand to reduce the coating time even when HPMC is used in the 6cP type in order to reduce the coating cost. In order to improve this problem, we have concentrated our attention on reducing the viscosity value of HPMC to an allowable lower limit from 6cP. As a result of this study, it was found that the reduction of the viscosity value to around 4.5cP enabled the use of a higher solution concentration and an incidental shorter coating time without giving any substantial adverse effects on the properties of coated preparations. These experiment results are presented in the later part of this presentation. Based on this study, we have added the viscosity type of 4.5cP as one of the Pharmacoat products as Pharmacoat-645.

Frequency Dependent Properties of Tris(8-Hydroxyquinoline) Aluminum Thin Films

  • Admittance or impedance spectroscopy is one of the powerful tools to study dielectric relaxation and loss processes in organic and inorganic materials. In this study, the frequency dependent properties of an indium tin oxide/tris(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum($Alq_3$)/aluminum structure have been studied. The conductance of the $Alq_3$ film increases with the DC applied voltage up to 4V and decreases above 4V in the low frequency region. This indicates that the resistance of the device decreases with the applied bias due to the carrier injection enhancement, thereafter the injected carriers form the space charge and the additional injection of carriers is prevented. The Cole-Cole plot of the admittance takes a one-semicircle shape, which means that the device can be modeled as a parallel resistor-capacitor network. The resistance and capacitance were estimated as 8.62k${\Omega}$ and 2.7nF, respectively, at 3V in the low frequency region. The dielectric constant ( ${\epsilon}'$ ) of the $Alq_3$ film is independent of the frequency in the low frequency region below 100kHz, while the frequency dependency was observed at above 100kHz. The dielectric loss factor ( ${\epsilon}"$ ) of the $Alq_3$ film shows the dielectric dispersion below 100kHz and dielectric absorption in higher frequency domain. The dispersion is thought to be related to the hopping process of the carriers. The ${\epsilon}"$ is proportional to the reciprocal of the frequency. The dielectric relaxation time was extracted to about 0.318${\mu}s$ from the dielectric absorption spectrum.

A Study on the customs in Han Hyungmo's film (한형모 감독의 영화 <자유부인>에 나타난 복식에 관한 연구)

  • This study is an attempt to analyze the daily life of the Western-yearning Seoul citizens and the inflow of the Western culture into certain social classes. The customs of the characters in the film are studied to illustrate the process of deconstruction of Korean traditional clothes due to the Western influence. The combined application of the Western and Korean styles is also observed. All this study leads to the sense of homogeneity of the times and the conformity to the culture the Korean women shared, which boils down to the social identity of the Korean women who sought an escape from the men-centered social structure by displaying their competence in the field of global modern fashion. As Seonyeong Oh, the main character of the film, , was wearing in the movie the Korean traditional dress, socks, rubber shoes, and then a western-style coat, it well shows that in 1950's, the traditional dress and ornaments were mixed with Western styles. In time, men's wear were completely changed from the traditional Korean clothes to suits, while women's could not break off from the traditional clothes and become westernized, which indicates that the men-centered conservative ideas to keep women within the feudal regime of the society remained. The military look of Seonyeong Oh while she was acting in the society was a symbol of anti-bias against women and anti-convention as well as the will of freedom as an independent woman. Besides, the modern girls would wear clothes of military fashion, Dior's trapeze line, and knit styles flattering the figures. All these well show their desires to embrace Western cultures, especially their dress fashions as well as manners as so-called enlightened ladies. All these elements show that the director was trying to represent the progress of the drama, characters, and psychological states by means of the dress and ornaments.
