Railway wheel/rail contact conditions have influences on dynamic behavior of the rolling stock. If there are incompatibility problems between the wheel and rail, damages like wheel wear, wheel spalling, rail wear, etc are occurred. Especially wheel and rail profiles are important factors of vehicle curving performance, so compatibility studies between wheel and rail profiles have to be carried out preferentially. In this study, we have studied the compatibility between wheel and rail profiles of KNR conventional line to analyze the dynamic performances of the rolling-stock. Thus we showed the results relating to wheel/rail geometric contact, vehicle running performances as the change of wheel/rail combination.
The rolling-stocks on conventional line have suffered wheel problems due to the incompatibility between wheel and track condition. Especially, The 1:40 coned wheel profile's wear is very severe and these increase wheel maintenance cost. Thus we designed several arc-type wheel profiles coned 1:/20 to reduce the wheel flange wear and analyzed the dynamic performance of designed profiles. Tests carried out in service line to analyse the dynamic performance and verify the wear reduction for two cases of profiles. Test results shows the equal level of dynamic performance and the improvement of wheel flange wear compared with the conical wheel profile coned 1:40.

It is visualized that dislocations move straightly in polycrystalline structure and the trans-grain dislocation moving occur from yield point to ultimate tensile stress. Some fracturemodes in uniaxial tensile test are ilustrated in order to explain that after the ultimate point the grains deforms by twins and the rotations of grains make cracks at the grain-boundaries by the incompatibility . The luders banks. which propagates along the axis of the specimen, are twin bands whcih are formed by rearrangement of the atoms within the structure of three-dimensional crystallizing $\pi$-bondings. The fatigue limit can be found through the atom's rolling back motion during elastic deformation inthe uniaxial tensile test by the change of the gradient.
An optimal design method in cooperated with nonlinear inelastic analysis is presented. The proposed nonlinear inelastic method overcomes the difficulties due to incompatibility between the elastic global analysis and the limit state member design in the conventional LRFD method. The genetic algorithm used is a procedure based on Darwinian notions of survival of the fittest, where selection, crossover, and mutation operators are used to look for high performance ones among sections in the database. They are satisfied with the constraint functions and give the lightest weight to the structure. The objective function taken is the total weight of the steel structure and the constraint functions are load-carrying capacity, serviceability, and ductility requirement. Case studies of a planar portal frame, a space two-story frame, and a three-dimensional steel arch bridge are presented.
This study is to consider both the eastern and western concepts of colors focusing on the five colors(Blue, Red, Yellow, White, Black) derived from the principles of Yang and the Five Elements, which are the traditional philosophy of the East and to analyze the modern fashion on the basis of the theoretical background. This study is summarized in the following. The eastern color concept has been formed by the influence of the principles of Yin and Yang and the Five Elements, which explain the generation and extinction of the universe. When it comes to the five colors, the symbolism of the east and west has much in common relatively. Concerning the rule of the five colors match, both the rules of the east and west are highly similar with each other. As mentioned above, the study shows that the five colors concepts and match rules between the east and west have much in common. There is a high possibility to connect the compatibility and incompatibility of the eastern five colors with scientific western theory of color harmony.
The TOL plasmid, pWWO, conjugally transferred from Pseudomonas putida mt-2 was dissociated into TOL* and TOL $\Delta$A in P. putidu PpGl carrying CAM plasmid. The TOL* was integrated into the CAM plasmid, and the resulting plasmid was designated as CAM::TOL*. The introduction of NAH plasmid, belonging to Inc P9 incompatibility group, into P. putida CSTBA carrying CAM::TOLt plasmid and TOL A plasmid did not affect m-toluate catabolism, but resulted in expelling the TOL $\Delta$ plasmid.
LRR family proteins play important roles in a variety of physiological processes. To facilitate their production and crystallization, we have invented a novel method termed "Hybrid LRR Technique". Using this technique, the first crystal structures of three TLR family proteins could be determined. In this review, design principles and application of the technique to protein crystallization will be summarized. For crystallization of TLRs, hagfish VLR receptors were chosen as the fusion partners and the TLR and the VLR fragments were fused at the conserved LxxLxLxxN motif to minimize local structural incompatibility. TLR-VLR hybridization did not disturb structures and functions of the target TLR proteins. The Hybrid LRR Technique is a general technique that can be applied to structural studies of other LRR proteins. It may also have broader application in biochemical and medical application of LRR proteins by modifying them without compromising their structural integrity.

Shigella sonnei harboring $bla_{CTX-M-55}$ was isolated outside of Asia for the first time. The $bla_{CTX-M-55}$ gene was found to be downstream of ISEcp-1 and located in a ~130 kb conjugative plasmid belonging to the I1 incompatibility group. The strain was recovered from a 7-year-old Ecuadorian girl with watery diarrhea who had not travelled abroad. Recent local data describe the emergence of $bla_{CTX-M-55}$ and other variants typically found in Asia in the Andean Region, suggesting that increased travel of humans and trade relationships with Asian countries are influencing the current Ecuadorian bacterial resistance situation.
Nicotiana repanda has resistance to many important tobacco diseases but no tobacco cultivars are currently available that carry risistance genes derived from this species. Numerous attempts to hybridize N, repanda with commercial tobacco cultivars have been largely unsuccessful because of cross incompatibility or the uncovering of lethal genes. In vitro pollination of placenta attached ovules was useful in by passing prezygotic barriers for interspecific hybrid combination between N.tabacum cv. NC82 and N. repanda. Six days after in vitro pollination of N. tabacum cv. NC82×N. repanda, enlarged ovules on plancenta were removed and transferred into ovule culture medium of kitsch and kitsch (1969). Within 15 days of ovule culture, germination occurred. Most of the hybrid seedlings obtained had poor root system and finally died, while few of them had good root system and grew well.
Pyrenophora graminea, the causal agent of leaf stripe disease, is an economically important pathogen of barley found worldwide. Forty-four isolates of diverse geographical origin within Syria were grouped into vegetative compatibility groups (VCGs) by demonstrating heterokaryosis by complementation tests using nitrate nonutilizing (nit) mutants. All isolates were grouped into three VCGs-1-A, 1-B and 1-C. No self-incompatibility was observed in any of the isolates tested. VCG 1-A was the most common group within growing regions in Syria and proved to be the most virulent of the VCGs identified. These data indicate that the level of virulence in P. graminea is related to VCG.
