  • In this paper, we predicted the rise or the fall in eleven major industrial stock price indices unlike existing studies dealing with the prediction of KOSPI that combines all industries. We used as input variables not only domestic economic indices but also foreign economic indices including the U.S.A, Japan, China and Europe that have affected korean stock market. Numerical analysis through SAS E-miner showed above or below about 60% accuracy using the logistic regression and neural network model.

  • In this paper, we developed the web content of statistical analysis using statistical package and Active Server Page (ASP). A statistical package is very difficult to learn and use for non-statisticians, however, non-statisticians want to do analyze the data without learning statistical packages such as SAS, S-plus, and R. Therefore, we developed the web based statistical analysis contents using S-plus which is the popular statistical package and ASP. In real application, we developed the web content for various statistical analyses such as exploratory data analysis, analysis of variance, and time series on the web using water quality data. The developed statistical analysis web content is very useful for non-statisticians such as public service person and researcher. Consequently, combining a web based contents with a statistical package, the users can access the site quickly and analyze data easily.

  • The purpose of this study is verifying the effect of transformational leadership on job satisfaction and to explore the moderating roles of job autonomy. This study developed hypotheses and tested them using hierarchical regression analyses. The data analysis was done by SAS Ver 9.1 and Smart PLS Ver 3.0. The test was conducted by employees working at large, small-medium company and public enterprise. The results indicate that the positive transformational leadership and job satisfaction were statistically supported. And this study found that job autonomy moderating roles in the relationship between transformational leadership and job satisfaction. Based on the findings of the study, this study presented managerial implications and suggestions for future studies.

  • This research analyzed the peak impulsive force, maximum velocity and a spot of fist's maximum velocity comparing stop-jirugi and push-jirugi. 7 males volunteered for this experiment. peak impulsive force was measured by PS2142 force platform[10], and maximum velocity of fist was measured by PS2103A motion sensor[12]. All of data was collected in the data studio and t-test was applied using SAS 9.1 package. The following conclusions were drawn. First, stop-jirugi's peak impulsive force was greater (P<.01) than that of push-jirugi. Second, push-jirugi's maximum velocity of fist was greater (P<.01) than that of stop-jirugi. Third, stop-jirugi's maximum velocity of fist was occurred on 69.14% of arm's length and that of push-jirugi was occurred on 75.66%. This maximum velocity spot was statistically significant difference(p<.001).

  • We develop the high risk group predictive model for loan default by utilizing the direct loan data from 2012 to 2014 of the Korea Student Aid Foundation. We perform the decision tree analysis using the data mining methodology and use SAS Enterprise Miner 13.2. As a result of this model, subject types were classified into 25 types. This study shows that the major influencing factors for the loan default are household income, national grant, age, overdue record, level of schooling, field of study, monthly repayment. The high risk group predictive model in this study will be the basis for segmented management service for preventing loan default.

  • In this paper we discuss the elements which must be considered for collaboration- aware application design and their effcets on user interfaces. Collaboration-aware applications have inter-user and user/system interaction features besides generic real-time distribution system features and this restricts the design freedom with the requirement of consistent user interfaces. Programmers, therefore, must provide uniform and logically consistent user interfaces to user and, for this end, they should consider main design features such as concurrency control algorithms, system topology and object replication scheme. Among the design factors concurrency control algorithms have relatively significant impact on user interfaces and we consider the impact of concurrency control agorithms along with that of thesystem to pologyand the objectreplication scheme. Coshed/SAS, a groupeditor, is given as an example of application of the factors.

  • SnO2 single layer and SnO2/Ag/SnO2 (SAS) tri-layered films were deposited on the glass substrate by RF and DC magnetron sputtering at room temperature and then the effect of Ag interlayer on the opto-electrical performance of the films were considered. As deposited SnO2 films show a visible transmittance of 85.5 % and a sheet resistance of 1.2×104 Ω/□, the SAS films with a 15 nm thick Ag interlayer show a lower resistance of 18.8 Ω/□ and a visible transmittance of 70.6 %, respectively. The figure of merit based on the optical transmittance and sheet resistance revealed that the Ag interlayer in the SnO2 films enhances the opto-electrical performance without substrate heating or annealing process.

  • The present review report introduces the existing analysis codes and physical modeling of two-phase flow associated with initiating event of HCDA in Liquid Metal Reactors for the effective study in the future, because the related research has not been systematically carried out in Korea compared with other areas. The description in this report is specifically addressed to the results yielded from careful review of the technical concepts on the two-phase flow modeling in the SAS2A code which was developed in ANL. The report is prepared in 2 parts based on the definite physical phenomena. The liquid slug and gas behavior models are main representations in the part (I) and (II), respectively. In this regard, it is expected that this report provide a fundamental knowledge on the two-phase flow model in LMR and, thus, contribute to establishment of the necessary HCDA analysis technology concerned with the LMR development in Korea.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the variables such as communication with mother and depression with regard to headache in headache-suffering children. The study subjects consisted of 315 in 5th&6th grade elementary school children in T city, headache-suffering children mean children experiencing twice or more march, 2. 2000 - July. 20, 2000. The data were analyzed by SAS computer program. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The mean score for communication with mother was 73.74 in headache-free group and 70.42 in headache-suffering group and difference had statistical significance. 2. The mean score for depression was 39.43 in headache-free group and 43.03 in headache-suffering group and difference had statistical significance. This study in relation to nursing implies that there is a need to teach mothers to encourage positive communication with children and that to develop depression-reducing program to prevent headache attack in children.

  • The aim of this study is to suggest theoretical foundations on which hospital employees could estimate medical care services not in the position of providers but consumers. For this purpose this study compares satisfaction of providers but consumers. For this purpose this study compares satisfaction of patients with medical care service with that of hospital employees. 287 patients and 261 employees in three university hospitals in Daegu were selected as samples of investigation and asked questions. Statistical analysis was taken using SAS package. The result of this study are as follows. 1) Among the five fields of medical services patients and hospital employees have different views in doctor hospital staff(except doctor) treatment system availability service but parking service 2) Hospital employees overestimate the level of medical care services compared with patients 3) Demographical variables make a difference in medical satisfaction 4) In satisfaction-evaluation after r ceiving treatment medical system service is influential variables in both patients and hospital employees. And in patient group doctor service is following variables while availability and parking service is influential variables in employees.
