퇴비화 및 탈취처리에 퇴비 혼합 교반 빈도가 미치는 영향 (Effect of Compost Turning Frequency on the Composting and Biofiltration)

  • The effects of turning frequency of in-vessel composting on ammonia emissions during composting of separated solids from swine slurry/sawdust mixtures and performance of biofiltration using the chicken manure compost were investigated. Separated solids from swine manure amended with sawdust was composted in a 226 L laboratory-scale in-vessel reactors under various turning frequency and continuous airflow (0.6 L/min.kg.dm) for three weeks. Three laboratory-scale manure compost biofilters were built to treat effluent gas from the composting of separated solid from swine manure amened with sawdust process. These experiments were continued over a period of three weeks. The composting of separated solid swine manure amended with sawdust and manure compost biofiltration system were evaluated to determine the turning frequency type that would be adequate for the rate of decomposition and compost odour reduction. The compost odour cleaning was measured based on ammonia gas concentration before and after passing through the manure compost biofilter. The average ammonia odor reduction in the manure compost biofilter was 96.9 % at R1 (no turning), 99.4 % at R2(once a day turning) and 89.0 % at R3(twice a day turning), respectively. The efficiency of ammonia reduction was mainly influenced by the turning frequency.

우분에 의한 질소함량의 변화가 음식물폐기물의 호기성 퇴비화에 미치는 영향 (Effect of variation of Nitrogen Content by Cattle Feces on Aerobic Composting of Food Wastes)

  • This study was performed to define the effects of the cattle feces on aerobic composting of food wastes in vessel system. Weights of cattle feces added to food wastes of 3kg were 0.25, 0.50, 1.00 and 1.50kg, respectively. Reactors were operated with stirring for 1 hour per day by 1rpm and aeration for 2 hours per day. When the weight of cattle feces was increased, the highest temperature of sample was increased, the duration period of higher temperature was elongated, and the fluctuatio of pH was severs. When the weight of cattle feces was decreased, the final density was increased. The more cattle feces were added, the more porosity was increased, C/N ratio, salinity and conductivity were decreased. There facts denotes that the addition of cattle feces increases the efficiency of composting process and the final product of composting, namely compost.

  • This study was performed to find the recycling performance and to provide design data during recycle solid composting system to reduce bulking agent cost, Dairy manure amended with rice hulls and recycled compost was composted in a laboratory -scale vessel by continuous aeration for 10 days. The temperature and ammonia emission variations according to the ratios of bulking agents during the primary aeration stage were surveyed. Also, the influence of fresh compost quality on the recycling performance were anlayzed. While recycled composting system were operatured. The temperature in compost was maintained in the range of 40∼60$^{\circ}C$ needed for biodegradation and death of pathogenic organisms, but the ammonia emission was different by the ratios of recycled compost. The ammonia emission increased due to the low C/N ratio(17.6), high pH value(8.1) of the recycled compost.

퇴비화 암모니아 가스의 톱밥 바이오 필터 매체에 의한 생물학적 탈취 (Biofiltration of Ammonia Gas from Composting Using Sawdust as Biofilter Media)

  • Dairy manure amended with crop and forest residues (moisture 69% wet basis, C/N 22) was composted in a 605 L pilot-scale vessel using continuous air flow (56 L/min) for 19 days. Three pilot-scale sawdust biofilters (moisture 63%, pH 5.0) were built to clean biological waste gas from the composting process. For each methods, two replicated experiments were monitored over a period of three weeks. The system was evaluated to determine the biofilter media depth that would be adequate for compost odour reduction. The compost air cleaning was measured based on ammonia gas concentration before and after passing through the biofilter. Ammonia gas removal efficiency over 3 weeks was 42, 75 and 87% at sawdust biofilter media depth levels of 202, 400 and 600 mm, respectively. Each sawdust biofilter was operated at a moisture content in the range of 60~62% (wb), a temperature from 15 to $25^{\circ}C$, an average pressure drop from 240 to 340 Pa and a detention time from 60 to 180 seconds during the biofiltration process.

  • 음식물 쓰레기 퇴비화 장치에 사용하기 위한 미생물제제 개발을 목적으로 토양, 퇴비 등으로부터 고온균을 분리하여 그 생육 특성을 조사하였다. 분리한 81주 중에서 음식물 쓰레기를 분해시키는 전분 분해효소, 단백 분해효소, 지방 분해효소 및 섬유소 분해효소의 활성이 높은 20주를 분리하여 형태 및 생리적 특성을 조사한 결과 모두 그람 양성의 간균으로 카탈라제를 가지고 있었으며 17주는 포자 형성균으로 밝혀졌다. 이 균주들은 대부분 pH 5에서 pH 10까지 생육할 수 있었으며 8% NaCl이 함유된 배지에서도 성장하였다. 또한 각 효소의 생산 균주 그룹별로 생육에 미치는 영향을 조사한 결과 통기에 의해 생육이 크게 증가하였으며, $50^{\circ}C$ 이상 온도가 올라갈수록 생육이 저하되었다.

1톤/일 처리규모의 하수슬러지 퇴비화 실증운전 (Operation of Sewage Sludge Composting Plant(Capacity of 1 ton/day))

  • 연속운전을 실시한 결과 전반적으로 발효 1단에서 발효 2단보다 온도가 높은 경향을 보여주었고 운전기간동안 발효 1단 $50{\sim}58.6^{\circ}C$, 발효 2단 $40.7{\sim}49.7^{\circ}C$, 발효 3단의 경우 $32.4{\sim}37.1^{\circ}C$로 온도가 거의 일정하게 유지되는 경향을 나타냈으며, 유기물함량, 함수율의 경우에 있어서도 유사한 결과를 나타내어 안정적으로 퇴비화 반응이 진행됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 생산된 퇴비의 품질을 분석한 결과, 유기물은 서서히 과정별로 분해되어 최종퇴비에서 28%를 유지했으며 pH는 잘 부숙된 퇴비에서 관찰되는 것과 같이 약알카리성을 나타냈고 생산된 퇴비의 품질에 있어 중요한 인자인 생성 퇴비내의 중금속함량은 모두 규제값 이내인 것을 확인 할 수 있었다. 결론적으로 입형다단 방식의 퇴비화 장치를 이용하여 정상운전을 실시한 결과 체류시간 14일 이내에 퇴비가 생성되었고, 퇴비의 성상 또한 부산물비료규격의 규제치를 모두 만족하는 것으로 나타났으며 동절기에도 불구하고 안정적인 퇴비화가 가능한 것으로 나타났다.
