지상무인전투차량 원격제어 인터페이스 운용 요구사항 개발 (Development of Operational Requirements of Remote Control Interfaces for Unmanned Ground Combat Vehicles)

  • The use of unmanned combat systems is of interest for future battlefield. Advanced techniques are being actively studied to build fully autonomous unmanned systems. However, there are technical, ethical and legal limitations for the fully autonomous unmanned combat systems. In addition, a remote controlled system is necessary so far in order to prepare for situations where fully autonomous unmanned systems fail to function properly. Thus, a procedure of developing operational requirements in system level is proposed and interface requirements of unmanned combat vehicles for remote control are described in this study.

Dynamic Matching Algorithms for Internet-based Logistics Brokerage Agents

  • In this paper, we present a dynamic matching methodology for the logistics brokerage agent that intermediates empty vehicles and freights registered to the logistics e-marketplace by car owners and shippers. In this matching methodology, two types of decisions should be made: one is when to match freights and vehicles and the other is how to match freights and vehicles at that time. We propose three strategies for deciding when to match, i.e. real time matching (RTM), periodic matching (PM), and fixed matching (FM) and use Hungarian method for solving tho how-to-match problem. In order to compare the performance of the when-to-match strategies, computational experiments are done and the results show that the waiting-and matching strategies, PM and FM, give better performance than real time matching strategy, RTM. We can expect that the suggested matching methodology may be used as an efficient and affective tool for the brokerage agent in the logistics e-marketplaces

  • Antilock brake System (ABS) is a essential safety equipment for modern vehicles. It prevents wheels from being locked-up when emergency braking of a vehicle is required. So it can improves directional stability of the vehicle, shortens stopping distance. Heavy Vehicles such as trucks and buses use mainly pneumatic pressures for their braking systems, where pneumatic modulators control the flow rate of compressed air thus braking pressures in the wheels.   • At a time when securing driving safety is the most important in the development and commercialization of autonomous vehicles, AI and big data-based algorithms are being studied to enhance and optimize the recognition and detection performance of various static and dynamic vehicles. However, there are many research cases to recognize it as the same vehicle by utilizing the unique advantages of radar and cameras, but they do not use deep learning image processing technology or detect only short distances as the same target due to radar performance problems. Radars can recognize vehicles without errors in situations such as night and fog, but it is not accurate even if the type of object is determined through RCS values, so accurate classification of the object through images such as cameras is required. Therefore, we propose a fusion-based vehicle recognition method that configures data sets that can be collected by radar device and camera device, calculates errors in the data sets, and recognizes them as the same target.

  • The Korean Auto industry has developed remarkably over the past 30 years. In 2000 alone, Korea produced 3.11 million vehicles, and the number of vehicles registered surpassed the ten million mark. As the number of vehicles registered in Korea has increased, yew after you, a rising number of cars have been scrapped. In 2000, a total of 455,592 automobiles were scrapped, up dramatically from only 101,158 in 1989. The system for handling of ELV(End-of-Life Vehicles) in Korea is governed by the "Motor Vehicle Control Act". The Act places the responsibility for vehicle scrapping directly on the vehicle owners. h vehicle owner can only can eel a vehicle registration after he gets a certificate from an authorized vehicle dismantler showing that his vehicle was properly scrapped according to the law. The take-back rate of ELV reaches nearly 100% in Korea. The vehicle scrapping process in Korea is very similar to those in other countries. fluids such as fuels and oils are first removed, and recyclable parts are collected and separated. Engines and transmissions are dismantled and recycled for use as raw material. Plastics, which are not easily reused, are generally treated as industrial wastes. The "Motor Vehicle Control Act" prohibits reuse of certain parts in order to guarantee the safety of the used auto parts. However, some restrictions on the reuse of auto parts have recently been eased to promote recycling. In this paper, additionally, car recycling policy of the foreign countries such as Japan, Germany and EU were reviewed.

  • 영상정보에 기반한 교통제어시스템의 핵심요소인 교통영상에서의 차량의 위치, 대수를 측정하는 견실한 기법을 제시하였다. 제안한 기법은, 배경영상을 제거한 차 영상으로부터 국부 최적 임계값 산출기법에 의해 차량의 밝고 어두운 증거영역을 추출하고 차량의 기하학적 특정을 이용해 3개의 규칙으로 합병하는 증거추론 (Evidential reasoning)에 기반을 두었다 국부 최적 임계값 산출기법은 차량형상이 중첩되었거나 차량의 색상이 배경영상과 유사할 경우에도 치량의 밝고 어두운 증거영역의 분리를 보장한다 다양한 교통영상에 적용한 결과 카메라의 거리, 위치, 날씨 등의 동작 환경의 변화에 매우 견실한 검지 성능을 가점을 확인하였고 프레임사이의 움직임 정보를 사용하지 않았으므로 차량의 흐름이 정체되었을 경우에도 적용이 가능하다.

  • The shock absorbing equipment for railway rolling is one of the most important components. It's effects on the safety of both passengers and vehicle itself and reduce shock, vibration and noise. The shock absorber equipment is mainly consisted of the yoke, plate and rubber draft gear. The objective of the this paper is to evaluation of structure and strength for the yoke in railway vehicles. Structure and strength analysis has been performed by use of finite element method and experimental stress analysis.

  • Currently, the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) is spreading from recreational purposes to the public- and commercial-use product areas. Various efforts are being made worldwide to ensure the safety of UAVs and expand their service applications and convenience, because autonomous flights are becoming increasingly popular. In order for a UAV to perform autonomous flight and mission without operator assistance, environmental perception technology, path planning technology, and flight control technology are needed. In this article, we present recent trends in these technologies.

DTG Big Data Analysis for Fuel Consumption Estimation

  • Big data information and pattern analysis have applications in many industrial sectors. To reduce energy consumption effectively, the eco-driving method that reduces the fuel consumption of vehicles has recently come under scrutiny. Using big data on commercial vehicles obtained from digital tachographs (DTGs), it is possible not only to aid traffic safety but also improve eco-driving. In this study, we estimate fuel consumption efficiency by processing and analyzing DTG big data for commercial vehicles using parallel processing with the MapReduce mechanism. Compared to the conventional measurement of fuel consumption using the On-Board Diagnostics II (OBD-II) device, in this paper, we use actual DTG data and OBD-II fuel consumption data to identify meaningful relationships to calculate fuel efficiency rates. Based on the driving pattern extracted from DTG data, estimating fuel consumption is possible by analyzing driving patterns obtained only from DTG big data.
