INVERSE HALFTONING OF COLOR IMAGE USING KALMAN FILTER

  • In this paper, it proposes the technique to restore from a binary image in the color image. The color image is composed of three element images of red, green and blue. Therefore, the color image is first divided into a red, green, and blue element, and the Inverse Halftoning[2]$\sim$[4] is processed to each element images. Finally, each element images is collectively displayed. In that case, the Kalman filter was applied to the Inverse Halftoning for the restoration accuracy improvement of the image. As a result, it was possible to restore it in the color image as well as the time of a monochrome image. Moreover, the result that the restoration accuracy had improved even when which combining with the technique by using the Kalman filter for the Inverse Halftoning so far came out.

삼원소 전극촉매 이용에 따른 에탄올 산화반응에 관한 연구 (The study of ethanol electro-oxidation using ternary electrocatalysts)

  • PtRu based and PtSn based ternary catalysts were prepared by a conventional impregnation method using NaBH4 as reducing agent. The alloy formation, crystalline size and chemical composition of the in-house catalysts were determined by XRD, TEM and EDX, respectively. The chemical compositions of in-house catalysts were quite similar to the nominal value and good alloy formations were also observed. Further, crystalline sizes of ternary catalysts were comparatively smaller than binary catalysts and were approximately 3.5 ~ 5.5 nm. The electrochemical measurements were carried out in the solution 1 M $H_2SO_4$ with 1 M $C_2H_5OH$ at room temperature. LSV results obtained that ternary catalysts were higher current densities and specific activities. Especially, in case of tungsten addition system, Pt5Sn4W/C have the highest specific activities values and was approximately 21.2 and 3.1 times higher than that of PtRu/C and PtSn/C electrocatalyst.

아날로그 신경 회로망을 이용한 스테레오 정합 (Stereo Matching Using Analog Neural Network)

  • Stereo vision is useful in obtaining three dimensional depth information from two images taken from different view points. Neural network modeling for stereo matching, the key step in stereo vision, is defined by an energy function satisfying with three constraints proposed by Marr and Poggio. Stereo matching is then carried out through the network to find minimum energy corresponding to the optimized solution of the problem. An algorithm for stereo matching using an analog neural network is presented here. The network can reduce errors in initial state an early iteration steps by adoption of continuous sigmoid function in stead of binary state. The experimental results show good matching performance for sparse random dot stereogram and real image.

SkyMapper Optical Follow-up of Gravitational Wave Triggers: Overview of Alert Science Data Pipeline (AlertSDP)

  • SkyMapper is the largest-aperture optical wide-field telescope in Australia and can be used for transient detection in the Southern sky. Reference images from its Southern Survey cover the sky at δ <+10 deg to a depth of I ~ 20 mag. It has been used for surveys of extragalactic transients such as supernovae, optical counterparts to gravitational-wave (GW) and fast radio bursts. We adopt an ensemble-based machine learning technique and further filtering scheme that provides high completeness ~98% and purity ~91% across a wide magnitude range. Here we present an important use-case of our robotic transient search, which is the follow-up of GW event triggers from LIGO/Virgo. We discuss the facility's performance in the case of the second binary neutron star merger GW190425. In time for the LIGO/Virgo O4 run, we will have deeper reference images for galaxies within out to ~200 Mpc distance, allowing rapid transient detection to i ~ 21 mag.

블랙흘 쌍성계의 비대칭 광도 곡선과 DOPPLER BEANING 효과 (ASYMMETRIC LIGHT CURVES OF BLACK HOLE BINARIES AND THE DOPPLER BEAMING EFFECT)

  • 블랙홀 쌍성계는 10 $M_{\odot}$ 정도의 블랙홀과 K또는 분광형을 갖는 만기형 항성의 쌍성계로 10여 개가 보고되어 있다. 블랙홀의 동반성은 Roche lobe를 태우기 때문에, 궤도 위상에 따라서 이들의 밝기가 달라져서, 타원체형 광도 곡선을 나타내는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이들 쌍성계의 광도 곡선에서 최대 밝기 위상에서 수퍼센트 정도의 비대칭성이 보고되었으며, 이 현상은 흔히 항성 흑점 모형 또는 hot impact point모형을 사용하여 설명되고 있다 이 논문에서는 블랙홀 쌍성계의 공전 속도가 대략 400 km $s^{-1}$일 때에 Doppler 효과에 의 한 흑체의 온도 차이는 $DeltaT/T$ ~ 1/400에 이르며, 이에 의한 광도의 차이가 관측된 비대칭성에 충분히 크게 영향을 줄 수 있음을 지적한다. 따라서, 광도 곡선의 해석에서 특수 상대론적 효과가 고려될 때에, 단순히 계산된 항성 흑점 혹은 hot impact point의 온도와 규모에 중대한 수정이 필요할 것으로 예상된다.

  • 산업현장에서 액체의 화재 및 폭발 위험을 결정하는데 사용되는 가장 중요한 변수 중 하나인 인화점은 가연 물질에 대한 화재 위험성을 나타내는 지표이며 위험물의 안전성 평가를 위한 중요한 정보로 활용된다. 본 연구의 목적은 석유 화학 공정에서 아주 중요한 용매로 사용되는 알킬 알코올과 함께 파라핀계 탄화수소의 대표적인 화합물인 2,2,4-trimethylpentane을 포함하는 이성분 혼합물인 {ethanol + 2,2,4-trimethylpentane}, {1-propanol + 2,2,4-trimethylpentane} 그리고 {2-propanol + 2,2,4-trimethylpentane} 계에 대한 인화점을 Stanhope-Seta 밀폐식 인화점 측정기를 이용하여 측정하였다. 각 이성분계 혼합물에 대한 인화점을 예측하기 위해 Raoult's의 법칙, Wilson, NRTL 그리고 UNIQUAC 파라미터를 이용하였고 실험 결과와 비교해 보았다. 비교 결과 Raoult's의 법칙을 제외하고 모든 실험값과 예측값과 실험값은 최대 편차가 1.28 K이내의 결과로 유사함을 보였다. 또한 측정된 모든 계에서 최소인화점은 발견되지 않았다.

Bi-Sr-Ca-O계에서 초전도상의 형성에 관한 상평형 (Phase Equilibria for the Formation of Superconducting Phases in the Bi-Sr-Ca-O System)

  • Bi-Sr-Ca-O 초전도성계에서 $Bi_2O_3-(Sr_2CaCu_2O_x$)의 pseude binary계를 선택하여 $Sr_2CaCu_2O_x$$Bi_2O_3$를 5%단위로 40 cation mole% Bi까지 첨가하면서 $850^{\circ}C$ 초전도상 및 공존하는 상들의 평형 및 반응 경로들을 XRD, SEM, EDS, DTA를 이용하여 분석하였다. Bi의 함량이 35 mole% Bi보다 클 때에는 $Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O_8$상과 공존하는 액상이 형성되며 2212상의 액상으로 존재하며 액상의 냉각시 제일 먼저 $Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O_8$상 주의에 석출된 것이 관찰되었다.

  • 1bit full adder have 3 input (including carry_in) and 2 outputs(Sum and Carry_out). Because of 1 bit full adder's propagation delay. We usually use 4-bit binary full adder with fast carry, 74LS283. The 74LS283 is positive logic circuit chip. But the logic function of binary adder is symmetrical, so it can be possible to use it not only positive logic but also the negative logic. This thesis use symmetrical property. such as $C_{i+1}(\bar{a_i}\bar{b_i}\bar{c_i})=C_{i+1}{\bar}(a_i,\;b_i,\;c_i)$ and $S_i(\bar{a_i}\bar{b_i}\bar{c_i})=\bar{S_i}(a_i,\;b_i,\;c_i)$. And prove this property with logic operation. Using these property, the 74LS283 adder is possile as the negation logic circuit. It's very useful to use the chip in negative logic. because many system chip is negative logic circuit. for example when we have negative logic chip with 74LS283. we don't need any not gate for 74LS283 input, and just use output of adder(74LS283) as the negation of original output.

Associations Between Compliance With Non-pharmaceutical Interventions and Social-distancing Policies in Korea During the COVID-19 Pandemic

  • Objectives: This study explored changes in individuals' behavior in response to social distancing (SD) levels and the "no gatherings of more than 5 people" (NGM5) rule in Korea during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Methods: Using survey data from the COVID-19 Behavior Tracker, exploratory factor analysis extracted 3 preventive factors: maintenance of personal hygiene, avoiding going out, and avoiding meeting people. Each factor was used as a dependent variable. The chisquare test was used to compare differences in distributions between categorical variables, while binary logistic regression was performed to identify factors associated with high compliance with measures to prevent transmission. Results: In men, all 3 factors were significantly associated with lower compliance. Younger age groups were associated with lower compliance with maintenance of personal hygiene and avoiding meeting people. Employment status was significantly associated with avoiding going out and avoiding meeting people. Residence in the capital area was significantly associated with higher compliance with personal hygiene and avoiding venturing out. Increasing SD levels were associated with personal hygiene, avoiding going out, and avoiding meeting people. The NGM5 policy was not significantly associated with compliance. Conclusions: SD levels, gender, age, employment status, and region had explanatory power for compliance with non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs). Strengthening social campaigns to inspire voluntary compliance with NPIs, especially focused on men, younger people, full-time workers, and residents of the capital area is recommended. Simultaneously, efforts need to be made to segment SD measures into substrategies with detailed guidance at each level.

도시의 공간적, 사회적 요인에 따른 자전차 보유도 추정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Estimation of the Ownerships of Bicycles by Spatial and Social Factors in Urban Area)

  • While bicycles are an exhaust-free and low energy consuming mode of transport, the use of them is getting decreased. The aim of this research is to find out current levels of bicycle ownership and to estimate the ownerships of the bicycles by spatial structure and social factors in the metropolitan area. The parameters which affect on the characteristics of the bicycle ownership are classified into aggregate and disaggregate categories. The ownerships of the bicycles are estimated by the multiple regression analysis using urban characteristics data and the binary logit analysis using household characteristics data. The results of this study to population, car ownership, and number of male in the household, and negatively by the population density.
