The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship of clothing involvement and clothing buying behavior of women. A questionnaire was developed to measure clothing involvement, clothing purchasing motives, clothing purchasing criteria, fashion information sources, store selection criteria, and demographic characteristics. The questionnaire was administered to 430 female adults in Taegu. The data were analyzed using percentage, frequency, factor analysis, and t-test. The results of the study were s follows: 1. Subjects were divided into low clothing involved and high clothing involved groups. 2. Three dimensions of clothing purchasing motives were derived by factor analysis such as Aesthetic dependant, Impulsive, and Practical motive. Clothing purchasing criteria were factor analysed as Aesthetic, Qualitative, External, and Economical criterion. Fashion information sources were factor analysed as Printed & audio-visual oriented media, Marketer intensive search, Store search, Observation & Interpersonal search, and Experience. Store selection criteria were factor analyzed as Merchandise & Store atmosphere, Store convenience, and Brand & fashion. 3. There were significant differences between high involved and low involved consumers in clothing purchasing behavior. The high involved consumers showed more importance than low involved consumers about purchasing criteria expecially in aesthetic dependant. The high involved consumers put more importance to aesthetic, qualitative, and external criterion as clothing purchasing criteria. The high involved information sources. The high involved consumers were more concerned about merchandise & store atmosphere, and brand & fashion than low involved consumers in store selection criteria.
This study investigated ADHD prevalence among the first to sixth graders in ordinary classes of H elementary school located in an area of special rural conditions and selected 4 sixth graders who received high scores in a self-diagnostic test on attention deficit and over 17 points from teachers in an ARS-IV test with a view to verifying the effects of the education in environment on the improvement of maladjusted behaviors among ADHD children when the education program for improvement of maladjusted behaviors is applied to the environment. The program was applied from March to mid-July for about 4.5 months in 13 periods. The program applied consisted of activities of experiencing the nature. Behavior changes of targets during the course of the program were recorded in the frequency of ADHD target behaviors card and the observation log to describe the results, which underwent a comparative analysis through pre-and post-tests of ADDES-SV and to graph the changes in maladjusted behaviors of target children. To sum up, the education in environment resulted in positive effects on the changes of maladjusted behaviors among ADHD children by reducing attention deficit impulsive behaviors and hyperactivity.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the results of a meta-analysis of impulsivity variables related to self-destructive behavior of South Korean adolescents. Methods: A meta-analysis was carried out according to the Cochrane guidelines criteria and the quality of the studies was evaluated using the JBI checklist. 2,333 studies were collected through the databases of RISS, KISS, and DBpia on 'impulsivity' published from 2000 to 2020. Self-destructive behavior-related variables were largely categorized into three areas (addiction, violence, and delinquency), and six subgroups. Results: Using the correlations with impulsivity in the final 53 papers, 231 self-destructive behavior-related variables were identified. The social delinquency showed the closest relationship with impulsivity (ES=0.34, 95% CI: 0.23~0.43, p<.001), followed by addictive behavior (ES=0.28, 95% CI: 0.24~0.32, p<.001), personal delinquency (ES=0.28, 95% CI: 0.23~0.32, p<.001), violence against others, violence against self, and substance addiction. These effects were identified as ranging from magnitudes of 0.23 to 0.27 based on the criteria of Cohen. Conclusion: To improve the reliability of the results of meta-analysis, more studies on the impulsivity of adolescents should be carried out so that the results can be accumulated, and the effectiveness can be examined in-depth later.
This study compares and analyzes cosmetics purchasing behavior according to the advertising and publicity implemented in women's monthly magazines as well as determines effective marketing strategies for the cosmetics industry. First, cosmetics advertising and publicity in women's monthly magazines can be classified into conventional advertising, advertorials, beauty news based on press releases, and beauty articles written by editors. In addition, consumer purchasing behavior has been examined in terms of use of information, purchasing intention, and purchasing experience. A study was conducted on women in their 20's to 40's in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do with 289 questionnaires used in the final analysis. Data were analyzed by common factor analysis, randomized block design, Bonferroni adjusted t-test, and multiple linear regression using SPSS 12.0/Windows. The results of the study can be summarized as follows. First, there was a difference in purchasing behavior according to types of cosmetics advertising and publicity in women's monthly magazines. Second, cosmetics shopping orientations were classified into six factors (the pursuit of impulsive purchasing and trends, well-known brands, convenience, low prices, efficacy and brand loyalty). There were significant effects of shopping orientation on cosmetics purchasing behavior according to the type of advertisement and publicity in women's monthly magazines.
The purpose of this study was to examine the consumers' purchasing behavior of budget-priced cosmetics according to the shopping orientation. Questionnaires used for this study were composed of 57 questions including 21 questions about cosmetic shopping orientation, 32 questions about budget-priced cosmetic purchasing behavior and four questions about demographic variables. Questionnaires were administrated to 20 to 49 aged 317 women who have shopping experience on budget-priced cosmetics. Data were analyzed by using factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, ${\chi}^2$-test, correlation, crosstabulation analysis, and scheffe test utilizing SPSS/WIN. The results were as follows. First, shopping orientation of cosmetics were classified into 5 factors: 'interest and impulsive purchasing tendency', 'price-oriented purchasing tendency', 'ration-oriented purchasing tendency', 'famous brand-oriented purchasing tendency' and 'brand royalty- oriented purchasing tendency'. According to the shopping orientation of cosmetics, the respondents were classified into 4 groups: 'passive shopping group', 'rational shopping group', 'active shopping group', 'neutral shopping group'. Second, when comparing each group's purchasing behavior of budget-priced cosmetics with shopping orientation of cosmetics, there was not significant difference in one time purchasing cost and the number of shop visits. In case of demographic variables concerning purchasing behavior of budget-priced cosmetics, there was significant differences in one time purchasing cost according to age, level of education and employment status. The number of shop visits had also difference according to age, level of education and monthly family income. Based on these results, marketing strategies for demographic characteristics of target market rather than the shopping orientation are needed.
Suicide is a behavior that is intended to cause death by itself and requires medical treatment, resulting in suicidal attempt or completion. Suicide causes loss of life, damages the body, costs a lot of medical expenses, and causes families to fall into sorrow and suffering therefore this suicide is a huge loss to family and society. There have been attempts to reduce and prevent suicide by understanding the mechanism of suicide. The mechanism of suicide can be thought of as psychological mechanism and biological mechanism. In the past, if we considered the psychological and biological mechanisms separately, the development of neuroscience now connects and integrates these two. Psychological factors affect biological factors and biological temperaments also affect perception or thinking about the situation and increase psychological vulnerability. Distant factors in suicidal behavior-such as childhood adversity and family and genetic predisposition-increase the lifetime risk of suicide. They alter the response to stress and other processes through changes in gene expression and regulation of emotional and behavioral characteristics. Distant factors affect the biological system and consequently changes in these systems can increase the risk of suicide. In other words, the distal factor does not directly induce suicidal behavior but rather acts indirectly through developmental or mediating factors. These mediating factors are impulsive aggressive and anxious trait, and chronic use of substances. The mechanism of this disorder is the abnormality of the serotonin system and the abnormality of the lipid level. Proximal factors are associated with the onset of suicide events and include changes in the major neurotransmitter systems, inflammatory changes, and dysfunction of glial cells in the brain. A series of studies, including a variety of research methods and postmortem and in-vivo imaging studies, show the impairment of the serotonergic neurotransmitter system and hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis stress response system for suicidal behavior. These disorders lead to suicidal behavior due to difficulty in cognitive control of mood, pessimism, reactive aggression, abnormality in problem solving abilities, excessive response to negative social signals, severe emotional distress, and cognitive dysregulation of suicidal ideation.
The object of this study was to investigate the relationship between stress and the extent of coronary artery stenosis in 101 patients with coronary artery diseases. Global assessment of recent stress(GARS) scale and perceived stress response inventory were used to measure perception for stressors and stress responses. Biological variables such as the extent of coronary artery stenosis, the number of the affected lesions on coronary angiography, serum Low Density Lipoprotein(LDL)-cholesterol, High Density Lipoprotein(HDL)-cholesterol, and total cholesterol were measured in all the subjects. Scores of perceived stress related to changes in relationship and overall global scores on GARS scale had significantly positive correlation with the extent of coronary artery stenosis. On the other hand, scores of percieved stress related to changes in relationship and changes or no changes in routine had significantly positive correlation with the number of the lesions. Scores of perceived stress related to change or no change in routine also positively correlated with serum level of LDL-cholesterol and total cholesterol. In contrast, general somatic symptoms negatively correlated with the extent of coronary artery stenosis. Impulsive-aggressive behavior negatively correlated with the number of the lesions. However, impulsive-aggressive thinking positively correlated with LDL-cholesterol. The above results suggest that perception for stressors may negatively affect the extent of coronary artery stenosis, the number of the lesions, serum LDL-cholesterol and total cholesterol. However, some stress responses showed inconsistent effect on the above biological variables. Thus, strategies designed to modify perception for stressors and some stress responses are likely to help the patients minimize the extent of coronary artery stenosis and prevent the diseases.
High-resolution simulations using vortex methods have been performed for simulating unsteady viscous flows around an impulsively started square cylinder. In order to investigate the phenomenon from laminar to transition flow, simulations are performed for Reynolds numbers 25, 50, 150 and 250. At extremely low Reynolds number, flow around a square cylinder is known to separate at the trailing edges rather than the leading edges. With an increase of Reynolds number, the flow separation at the leading edges will be developed. The main flow characteristics of developing recirculation region and separations from leading and trailing edges are studied with the unsteady behavior of the wake after the cylinder starts impulsively. A notable change in the flow evolution is found at Re=150, that is, it is shown that the flow separations begin at both leading and trailing edges of the square cylinder. On the other hand, when Re=250, the strong secondary vorticity from the rear surfaces of the square cylinder increases the drag coefficient as the primary vortex layer is pushed outwards. The comparisons between results of the present study and experimental data show a good consistency.
Purpose - Research on the mechanism by which tasting affects the purchase of related products and related products is still insufficient. Therefore, it is necessary to make good use of marketing practically how tasting affects taste and leads to consumption behavior. Research design, data, and methodology - First, we provide tasting sampling for people with different impulsive purchasing tendencies and check whether this leads to purchasing behavior in the future. Second, it is necessary to measure 'face (or notion of courtesy)', which is a characteristic of Koreans, as a moderating variable for the effect of sampling. Third, it is proposed to look at how the effect of sampling appears differently over time. Results - First, it is necessary to pay attention to the factors influencing the sampling effect in the product group that cannot produce a tasting situation such as general food or beverage. Second, research results may not apply to all actual marketing. Conclusions - This study is judged to have contributed to resolving the question of whether the distribution store's tasting promotion is more effective and lasts longer than other promotions. It also suggested the possibility that the effect of tasting could be changed depending on whether the amount of tasting was limited or the subjects of tasting.

The focus of this paper is the study on the seismic performance of RC buildings with two different connections at the base level under near-fault earthquakes. It is well-known that the impulsive nature of the near-fault ground motions causes severe damages to framed buildings especially at base connections. In the scope of this study, two types of 3-dimensional RC Moment Frames with Fixed Support (MFFS) and Hinged Support (MFHS) containing 5 and 10 stories are assessed under an ensemble of 11 strong ground motions by implementing nonlinear response history analysis. The most vulnerable locations of MFFS, are the connections of corner columns to foundation especially under strong earthquakes. On the other hand, using beams at the base level as well as hinged base connections in MFHS buildings, prevents damages of corner columns and achieves more ductile behavior. Results denote that the MFHS including Base Level Beams (BLB) significantly shows better behavior compared with MFFS, particularly under pulse-type records. Additionally, the first story beams and also interior components undergo more actions. Role of the BLBs are similar to fuses decreasing the flexural moments of the corner columns. The BLBs can be constructed as replaceable members which provide the reparability of structures.
