게임 프로토타입의 평가 방법에 관한 연구 (A Syudy on Evaluation Method of The Game Prototype)

  • The ultimate purpose of game design is to lay out a design which provides more convenient, more exciting, and more satisfying game to the users. It is needed to adopt the demands and the evaluations of the users, so that to develop user-centered games, yet easier and simpler, to increase their popularity and to improve their productivity. On this basis, the study presents the methods of improving game designs by repeating application of the assessment of the game, through the development of prototype in the Int stage of game project.

  • A complex system like ATM(Air Traffic Management) has safety problem emerging from complex interactions between systems. In complex systems, malfunctions of components are not the only causes of critical accidents. To resolve this problem many researchers have proposed new safety analysis models for complex systems. This research is a way of improving safety analysis model focusing on systems engineering design model for ATM.

  • Design is one of diverse human communication activities. Development of technologies has led to execution of more active design communication functions, stirring social and cultural changes. The concept of design communication has become stronger by overcoming the limitations of verbal communication and expanding the methods of communication. These social changes are highlighted In the design of modern space. Even though communication in interior design activities is so important, detailed studies on communication of each entity are still very insufficient. Design communication refers to tools and activities for overall communications in the design process. In design activities, relevant communication is indispensible. Therefore, studies on practical communication methods are essential for accurate communication of content that has to be shared in the results or in the process of obtaining the results, rather than only focusing on the future techniques and functions of design. In other words, improving the efficiency of interior design communication requires establishing a communication relationship structure of each entity, which calls for proper expression methods depending on each entity. Therefore, this study is aimed at exploring efficient expression methods in line with the relationship structure of each entity in the interior design process.

  • 1852년 영국 런던에 세계 최초의 디자인 박물관이 설립된 이후, 디자인 박물관의 상업화와 권력화에 대한 비판에도 불구하고 서구 디자인 선진국들은 디자인 박물관을 중심으로 디자인 산업을 보호하고 육성함으로써 디자인 정체성을 확립하고 그 우수성을 홍보하며 국가 경쟁력과 삶의 질을 향상시켜왔다. 21세기 문화 경제 시대를 맞아 고부가 가치를 창출하는 디자인의 중요성에 대한 인식이 높아짐에 따라 한국 디자인 발전을 주도할 디자인 박물관 설립에 대한 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 본 연구는 디자인 박물관 관련 연구가 미비한 현 상황에 한국 디자인 박물관 설립을 위한 기초연구로서, 시간축을 중심으로 수직적인 통시적 접근을 통해 해외 디자인 박물관이 디자인 발전을 위해 어떠한 역할을 수행하여 왔는지를 살펴보고, 수평적인 공시적 접근을 통해 현재 디자인 박물관이 성공적인 역할 수행을 위해 어떠한 활동을 하고 있는지를 알아봄으로서 한국 디자인 박물관의 역할과 방향을 제시하였다.

인클루시브 디자인 특성을 적용한 가구 디자인 사례에 관한 연구 (A Case Study of Furniture Design Applied Inclusive Design)

  • Even though, a quality of the daily goods and furniture are improving as increasing living standard, the neglected people have been left behind as ever. However, tools and furniture of everyday life a certain class that are alienated are left to the inconvenience of everyday life such as the difficulty of purchase route or incongruity with the surround living space. The design that can solve this problem is the inclusive design. When we look closely the previous researches on the inclusive design, we can find that researches on public facilities and industrial products are actively carried out based on the principles and features of the inclusive design, but studies in the field of furniture design are very insufficient. In this paper, we try to study the furniture design incorporating the inclusive design and to include specific stratum without alienating it. The research method is centered on product case analysis and suggested furniture design that 'everyone can use together'. This helps designs in realizing their social values by giving everyone the right to live an equal life.

현대가구디자인에 나타난 배려에 관한 연구 - 어포던스를 중심으로 - ((A) Study on the Consideration Observed in Contemporary Furniture Design - Focused on Affordance -)

  • Design is one of those elements to create an artificial environment, improving human life. It also signifies some concrete work and plan for better life in the present environment, and it is even believed to be an act of consideration for the sake of human beings. This consideration design would be included to design which deals not only with truths and values being demanded in a new era but also with various users, and it is design that attaches values to behaviors of the users, searching for new values while studying user-centered behaviors. It is regarded as a part of the consideration design in that it is able to make plans and extract design factors using affordance while it helps any users to use as considering the user-centered behaviors. Design factors of such affordance has been inherited and developed from the Bauhaus principle, and the spirit of Bauhaus is believed to have a great influence on contemporary furniture design while being a matrix of modern design. A follow-up study will look into backgrounds and cases of social design, one of those consideration design factors, while proposing directions on how to develop contemporary furniture design.

  • We have successfully developed the 22 inch WSXGA+ DLS(Data Line Sharing) Panel driving in 75 Hz. In the large size and high resolution panels, it is very difficult to design the DLS Panels without failure because of the very short charging time and the large signal delay. So, we first investigated the charging order to find the most adequate charging type to the large size and high resolution panels. And then, we optimized the design of DLS in terms of improving the charging properties using the technologies of the Delta-doping TFTs, Cu metal electrodes and optimization of panel design value and the circuit signal timing.

  • Naval ship design and related other activities can be characterized by the complexity of the interactions among products, activities, and disciplines. Such complexities often result in inferior designs, cost overrun, and late-delivery. Hence there exist tremendous interests in both improving the design process itself and optimizing the interactions among design activities. This paper looks at the complexity of designing naval ships thereby leading to the innovation of current ship design practices using design structure matrix. It can be used to induce the optimal ordering of design activities as well as identify sources of complexities. The method presented here identifies coupled design activities useful for reducing the complexity of naval ship design as well as optimally reordering design activities. This paper recommends the use of design structure matrix method suitable for numerically optimizing the concept design process of naval ship, and reducing cost and time required in designing naval ships by modeling and analyzing the design activities and engineering tasks, defined in systems engineering planning documents.

A Study of the Satisfaction with the operation of design courses-Based on PJBL(Project Based Learning) - An analysis of a University of Applied Sciences in China -

  • As the definition and role of design changes over time with the times and society, design education needs to update teaching methods to match it. The course design in this study began with an optimisation of the learning model based on previous research and analysis, followed by in-depth interviews, the application of the interview results to the final curriculum design, and finally a questionnaire to verify the positive effects of this teaching model. This teaching model has been applied to teach a pilot class in a university of applied sciences in China. The main characteristics of the course design are Project-Based Learning (PJBL) oriented, team cooperation centric, and an educational model developed based on peer assessment. In every stage of the UI design course, realistic project simulations are adopted, enhancing students' abilities through practical experience, teamwork, and peer assessment. The innovation lies in validating the effectiveness and advantages of this model at every stage of the UI design course, innovating existing teaching methods, optimizing learning models, and combining practice with evaluation. This research found that a project-oriented team course design based on PJBL has a high degree of effectiveness and relevance in each stage of the UI design course, significantly improving students' overall competence. It is expected that the results of this study can be applied in various ways to the course design of the courses that similar to design majors.

공급자 부품품질 향상을 위한 품질보증시스템 개선방안 (Enhancement of Quality Assurance System for Improving the Quality of Suppliers' Product)

  • A prerequisite for improving the quality of a product is to enhance the quality of its parts supplied from outsourced enterprises. An enterprise certified by ISO 9001 Quality Management System is expected to develop their effective quality assurance system and maintain it through continuous control and improvement, thereby ensuring the good quality of products that they produce. However, it is reported that small and medium-sized enterprises certified by ISO 9001 have difficulty establishing an effective quality assurance system. This study aims to propose a new method of improving a quality assurance system that can be more effective in small and medium-sized enterprises. This study collectively considered requirements specified in several international standards on quality system and the results of expert group brainstorming to identify evaluation areas and items for assessing a quality assurance system. Based on these evaluation areas and items, a set of checklists for diagnosing and improving a quality assurance system was developed. In order to demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed method, this study applied it to ten small and medium-sized enterprises and could identify four approaches for improving their current quality assurance system. The presented improvement method, which consists of establishment of quality goals and quality innovation plan, defective products corrective activities, 4M and design change process, improvement of customer quality information management, is expected to be utilized as a useful tool for the enhancement of the quality assurance system of small and medium-sized enterprises.
