For the improvement of the cultural rural village(new rural village project), it is very important to find the various planning alternatives. The purpose of this study is to suggest the ideas which are able to be applied to the rural site planning. The YoungMoon project site located in Kyunggi province was selected case study, The followings are suggestions developed in the process of preparing an alternative plan for the case study. 1) The preparing of the rural site plan is the organizing process of the planning ideas responsive to the condition of both a project site and the project directions. 2) In developing the schematic plan, it is very useful to introduce the cluster madang (small public open space) including 25 houses as a basic planning unit. 3) In comparison with the project plan, the alternative plan presented by this study has advantages of amenity and public space of the residential environment of the new rural village. It is properly said that we have to more and more discuss the best solution to take in planning the rural site, and this efforts contribute the improvement of the quality of the new village project.

The KTX, first Korean Highspeed train from Seoul to Busan, is scheduled to begin its passenger service in 2004, with improvement of existing railroad between Daegu and Busan and Honam region. This paper aims to suggest the best train operation plan and detailed diagram pattern so that the KTX could work effectively as much as possible. I suggest for instance, connecting direct train and local train, hub stations plan, multi-destination train, and improvement of fare system.

Purpose: Design inducement incentive item and formula on permitted floor area ratio in district detailed plan have been improved to reflect the actual application of guidelines and the social needs of city and architecture. However, the current guideline has a limit to realize the purpose of the plan. This study proposes improvement of the items and parameters in formula. Method: This study analyzed the district detailed planning guidelines since 2000 and the cases of general type district unit plan. In order to propose improved items and parameters, planing purposes and present parameters were compared and analyzed. Result: Items of guidelines have been changed according to public needs. High necessity items were applied to large parameters, and these items have been changed as the guideline changes. Diversity of items depended on regional characteristics, and parameters were more flexible than items for most cases. The purposes of plans, parameters and items were analyzed and it revealed four items needed improvement; the inducement of the limited building line, the improvement of the pedestrian and street environment, the necessity of the open space, and strengthening of the regional agreement. For improvement, this study added items and improved the relevance between items and sub-items. The parameters were improved by considering the importance, feasibility and comparing them with each other. Simulated result confirmed that proposed guideline is appropriate to operate, and also characteristics of area encourage to operate it more flexible.

The purposes of this study are both to identify suggestions regarding the evaluation framework of construction policy performance based on the analysis of the 4th Master Plan for Improvement of Construction Technology and to provide recommendations that can be used for developing the 5th Master Plan for Improvement of Construction Technology. In order to achieve this purpose, a questionnaire was distributed to construction industry-related professionals and makes them evaluate the performance of the 4th Master Plan for Improvement of Construction Technology by performance index appropriacy, measurement appropriacy, and target level. In addition, comprehensive literature review was implemented to extract important points, which are related to policy evaluation, that can be considered factors in developing the 5th Master Plan for Improvement of Construction Technology.

The study has effected checking the traditional Korean-style house condition in Farm village and the resident preference test in jeonnam area for examination propriety of development a traditional Korean-style house. Also, it was checked over the problem and improvement direction of new building the Korean style house. The resident wanted living in the traditional Korean-style house if it is compromised problem of living equipment and cost of building. First. Jeonnam area Korean style house must keep the 'ㅡ' type plan. Second, the plan must construct compact and effective plan with the main floored room as the center for prevention against an indiscreet plan space extend of outside. Third, it has must need suitable material and construction for applying traditional exterior with effect. Fourth, it has must need actualization plan for the cost of construction is 3,500,000/py for construction.

Purpose: LST-II is a special naval ship to carry out landing operations by transporting tanks, armored vehicles and military vehicles. Bad weather, maximum wave height of 4-5 m, caused damage to the LCM cradles while the LST-II No.O ship was moving to Thailand for training in February 2016. Methods: Based on the results of the field check, DTaQ conducted a study on the causes analysis and improvement measures. Results: The improvement plan that was derived was verified through a structural analysis and the improvement plan was applied to the follow-up ships. Conclusion: The improvement of LCM cradle has increased the safety of the crew and landing forces, and improved the operational efficiency.

This study tried to suggest a systematic improvement plan to prepare a civil safety insurance operation and management system by reviewing the operation and management status of civil safety insurance, which is operated and managed by each local government autonomously. In this study, the problems of the current civil safety insurance were analyzed by dividing them into the lack of systematic management of insurance items, overlapping coverage between insurance items, and deviations in compensation limits. As a systematic improvement plan, it was suggested to secure the systemic management of guarantee items, standardize compensation standards, prepare an integrated operation and management system, and provide financial support for local governments with poor financial independence. Since the problems and improvement plans for the civil safety insurance analyzed as described above are formed by exchanging and receiving a complex mutual influence, the institutional improvement plan for the operation and management system of the civil safety insurance is not only a specific part of the study, but also comprehensively current citizens. Based on the results derived from the analysis of safety insurance, it is concluded that alternatives must be found.

Interests in tourism and leisure have increased with the quality of life in Korea. The government takes the lead in development of tourism for balanced development between regions and local governments use development of tourism as a means for vitalization of local economy. The sustainable and eco-friendly development plan is required for the tourism development, because it needs effective use of limited natural resources and consideration of environmental capacity in the region. This study analyzed the trend of tourism development during nine years, and problems with respect to planning and environment aspects on the basis of four examples which follow recent development trend. We suggest improvement plan that 1) establishment of consistency and systematics of tourism development, 2) enforcement of setting up regional tourism development plan, 3) comprehensive and systematic plan establishment in consideration of private sector, 4) reasonable adjustment and environmental management for development project of approval organization, 5) removal of duplicate regulations for development project. Application of the improvement plan while setting up tourism plan could contribute to vitalization of local economy, and environmental preservation and management.

Although the safety management plan review system according to the Construction Technology Promotion Act for securing the safety of the construction work is a fundamental system essential for the prevention of the construction industry disaster, the necessity of its improvement has been raised because it often fails to meet the original purpose. In this study, through the analysis of the effect of the safety management plan and the problems of the operation, we suggest ways to improve it in view of the construction accident reduction and conducted surveys on the construction site through the questionnaires of the client, construction company, and construction business technology manager. In order to improve the effectiveness of this system as a result of the study, it is necessary to distribute the guidelines for the preparation of the safety management plan, manuals, etc., to simplify the contents of the safety management plan, also the step-by-step approval of the safety plan can be a solution. For this, it is necessary to revise the policy through consultation with the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs and related experts.
