바다골재채취에 따른 환경영향 스코핑과 제도개선 (Scoping for Environmental Impact and System Improvement of Marine Sand Mining in Korea)

  • This paper assessed environmental impacts of marine sand mining on coastal areas and Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs) of Korea, and diagnosed problems of the related assessment statements for suggesting key assessment items (scoping) and system improvement. To mitigate conflicts and environmental impacts caused by large-scale, concentrated sand mining, we suggest it is critical to promote sustainable and eco-friendly utilization of marine resources while listening opinions from various stakeholders and analyzing alternative plans. Especially, it should be mandatory as a scoping item to provide verifiable data on the amount of sand, potential and accumulative impacts by mining, and key assessment items (e.g. erosion and sedimentation by submarine topography, benthic change, spreading of suspended solids, water pollution, grain-size change, and impact on fisheries resources). We also suggest that postassessment and monitoring should be improved to enable tracking of environmental impacts caused by sand mining through seasonal monitoring together with intermittent short-term surveys. In addition, effective measures to mitigate the impacts is also essential. As repeated sand mining at large-scale can damage marine ecosystems by long-term accumulated impacts, we suggest that assessment systems and regulatory policies should be developed and established, especially for ensuring reliability of assessment and review on selected major sandmining projects.

A Study on the Operation System Improvement of Busan International Passenger Terminal: Focusing on the Car Ferry

  • In the past 20 years, passenger and cargo transportation performance at the international passenger ports in Korea have increased by 8.6% on the compound annual growth rate, respectively. The Korean government had expected to continue expanding the market of car ferries and the government included plans for the development of additional routes and lanes with neighboring countries such as China, J apan, and Russia as a part of the Plan of the Korean Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in 2019. However, compared to the development of routes, the management and operation of passenger terminals are inefficient. The purpose of this paper was to introduce the overall improvement of the passenger terminal operating system that reflects the recent changes in the supply and demand of international passenger vessels and the needs of the government and private sector passengers. To this end, a basic survey was conducted on the status of operations and facilities at the Busan International P assenger Terminal and a questionnaire survey was administered on the subject of use. The results of the survey were analyzed using the IPA model. As a result of the analysis, three items in the operation sector, three items in the facility sector, and four items in the system sector of the Busan International Passenger Terminal were identified as in need of improvement. Based on the results, the need for investment to improve the international passenger terminal operating system is suggested.

선원에 대한 신체검사 제도 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on Physical Examination Systems for Seafarers)

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 선원 신체검사제도를 선진해운국과 국제협약 기준에 준하는 신체검사제도 개선을 위한 목적으로 수행하였다. 연구 수행은 우리나라 선원 신체검사 항목들과 ILO/WHO 권장항목 그리고 선진 해운국에서 시행중인 신체검사 항목들을 조사하여 비교 분석하였으며, 또한, 선원신체검사 판정기준에 대한 객관성 강화를 위해 ILO/WHO 와 해운선진국, 그리고 육상의 철도 운송 종사자의 신체검사 판정기준을 비교 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 바탕으로 현행 신체검사 항목에 대한 유지, 수정, 그리고 구강계질환, 정신계질환 등 새로운 항목 추가 등의 작업을 거쳐 16개 신체검사 항목과 판정기준을 도출하였다, 도출한 신체검사 항목과 판정기준의 신뢰성을 높이기 위해 근로자 신체검사를 전문으로 하는 산업의학 전문의들에게 항목의 적합성과 판정기준의 타당성에 대한 자문과 검증을 거쳐 선원 신체검사 제도 개선을 위한 기초 자료를 제시하였다.

교원능력개발평가 사서교사 평가지표와 문항의 중요도 및 수행도에 대한 사서교사들의 인식 (Teacher Librarians' Perceptions of the Importance and Performance Frequency of Their Roles Inherent in the Indicators and Items for Teacher Evaluation)

  • 이 연구는 2009년에 개발되어 현재 선도학교를 통해 활용되고 있는 교원능력개발평가 사서교사 평가지표 및 문항에 대한 설문조사를 통해 그 개선점을 제안하였다. 연구결과 현행 평가지표 및 문항의 중요도에 대한 사서교사의 인식이 대체로 긍정적인 것으로 나타났고, 각 문항의 중요도와 수행도에 대한 사서교사의 인식에는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 평가지표 및 문항에서 개선해야 할 점으로는 현재의 평가문항에 다양한 독서교육활동 실시여부에 대한 항목 추가, 자료조직 및 관리 관련 평가문항 수정의 필요성, 학생지도 평가영역 명칭에 대한 제고 등이 제기되었다. 이러한 연구결과는 현재 활용되고 있는 사서교사 평가지표와 문항이 대체로 타당하기는 하지만 일부분에서 수정 보완이 필요함을 제시하였다.

현장포럼 적용을 위한 농촌주민생활만족도 조사표 개선 연구 (A Study on the Improvement for Survey Table of Rural Residents Satisfaction for the Application of Rural Forum)

  • There are direct and indirect approaches to measure the quality of rural life with comparison of urban. One of the direct approach is to survey living satisfaction of rural residents. Survey result is also important factor for the understanding of local needs in rural development. Rural Development Adminstration(RDA) has developed a survey table with 71 survey items for measuring the satisfaction of rural residents. In rural field forum which have conducted for finding the direction of rural development, the understanding of local needs with measuring the satisfaction of rural residents is important. But developed survey table is difficult to be applied in rural field forum not only many survey items but also overlapping in survey range. The purpose of this study is to suggest a field-applicable survey table in rural field forum based on results of RDA. Survey items were selected based on the importance score of RDA survey table, and weighting values were applied to each survey items. Finally, we suggested 31 items based on results with principle component and reliability analysis.

학령기 여아의 손 치수 및 구조요인 분석 (The Size and Structural factors of The Korean Elementary School Girls' Hands)

  • In the current study, we measured the hands and other representative body items of 223 elementary school girls using Martin Anthropometer and a digital camera so that we would be able to provide information on both size and shape of hands for design of hand-related products. As time goes on, hands get bigger, yet they get thinner at the same time. The data implies that the frame of hands grows, but the skin fat lessens, which could be a determinant factor in the size system of hand-related products. According to the results of a factor analysis on 26 hand items, 5 factors including hand laterality and linearity, fingertip shape, finger breadth, and hand depth, have been extracted. Pearson's correlation showed that most of hand-related factors were strongly associated with other body items. Finger breadth and hand depth, however, were found less related to other body items. The ANOVA test used in testing the difference of hand factors showed, in most items, a difference by ages, but there was no significant differences in fingertip breadth, the third factor, Interestingly, in hand depth, the fifth factor, lower grade girls' hands were thicker than higher grade girls'. This research suggests that the size system of uniformly increasing the size of all hand parts by age groups should be reconsidered and leaves much for improvement.

대학수학능력시험(영어시험)의 문항개선에 대한 연구 (A study on the improvement of the test items in Korean scholastic ability test (English test))

  • The purpose of the study was to explore ways to improve the test items on the Korean scholastic ability test. More specifically, the researchers investigated whether use of the target language in test items would make a difference in total scores, discriminatory power, and item difficulty. A total of 288 high school seniors participated in the study. The subjects were divided into the experimental group (N=145) and the control group (N=143). A 25-item test resembling the Korean scholastic ability test was administered to both groups. The experimental group was given items whose questions and alternatives were all presented in English, whereas the control group was given items whose questions and alternatives were presented in Korean only. Statistical analyses revealed that use of English vs. Korean in the questions and alternatives made a significant difference in total scores, item discrimination, and item difficulty level. The findings strongly suggest that use of English is one way to improve the quality of the Korean scholastic ability test by enhancing item discrimination and face validity. Considering that the test in question is a high-stakes exam in Korea, further research on how to improve the Korean scholastic ability test is urgently called for.

호텔 식음료 상품의 속성과 고객만족도 측정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Customer's Satisfaction Evaluation of Hotel Food and Beverage Products)

  • To evaluate customer satisfaction of hotel food and beverage products, developing items for the measurement is necessary through studying the properties of food and beverage products. The properties consist of human service, physical and systematic service. Human service includes appearance and uniforms, courtesy and kindness, quickness and precision of the service, well-educatedness, moral sense and etc. Physical service includes the taste of food and beverage, diversity of food and beverage, outlets' cleanness and atmosphere, refinement of fixture, furnishing and table ware, the admission passage to the hotel and parking lot facilities, and etc. Systematic service includes passages of movement to outlet, arrangement of outlet, reservation management system, operation of events and package goods, temperature and ventilation system and etc. The price is also one of important variables to measure customer satisfaction index, so it is included to the investigating items. As shown some hotels have several satisfactory items but most items are unsatisfactory because expected service is better than perceived service. Therefore, the hotels which lack human service need the reinforcement of service education, the hotels which lack physical and systematic services need the improvement, the development and the renovation according to the unsatisfactory items. And the hotels whose price item is unsatisfactory need to consider the policy.

가정간호서비스에 대한 대상자 만족도 측정도구 개발 (The Development of Client Satisfaction Instrument in Home Care Service)

  • Client(patient) satisfaction has been used for a variety of purposes in different settings, yet, those receiving home care services have been the focus of few satisfaction studies. Satisfaction is considered an indicator of quality of care and is also being used to assess the performance of home care providers and home health care delivery at multiple levels. The aim of this study was to develop the tool for evaluating client satisfaction in several aspects with home care service while maintaining or achieving acceptable reliability and validity. Firstly, Client Satisfaction Instrument made preliminary of 43 items composed basic 6 criteria and 7 indicators, based on a review of literature, quality improvement and client satisfaction findings in home care. Secondly, there were consisted in two expert panel groups who were made in professionals of research and practice in home care field. The tool was modified to 6 criteria and 7 indicators, 25 items after reviewing by two expert panel groups. The content validity index of the tool was above 0.8 and the results of internal consistency was more than 0.8 in all items. Finally. The Client Satisfaction Instrument in Home Care Service was made up 6 criteria such as client satisfaction of nurses's instruction of home care educational need. knowledge/technique/attitude of homecare nurses's performance. interpersonal relationship and emotional support of nurse. easiness of homecare accessibility, continuity of homecare service. overall efficacy of homecare use, 7 indicators. and 25 items. The results of evaluating client satisfaction will be able to contribute in quality improvement and service marketing in home care.

학교구강보건실 운영에 대한 담당치과위생사의 견해 (Opinion of dental hygienists toward school dental clinic operation)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the opinion of dental hygienists toward school dental clinic operation. Methods: The study was carried out by telephone or e-mail to the dental hygienists in 415 elementary school dental clinics from September 1 to 30, 2014. The questionnaires were collected from 208 school dental clinics. Except incomplete answers, 148 data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 program. The self-reported questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects(7 items), operation of school dental clinic(5 items), obstacle to school dental clinic(10 items), and effective operation of school dental clinic(5 items). Results: The school dental clinic operation accounted for 68.7% and 90.6% of the respondents answered that it was very effective for the oral health improvement. The dental hygienists answered that the clinic operation was very effective in oral disease prevention(37.1%), oral health knowledge and behavior(32.8%), oral health behavior habit(29.3%), and oral health improvement(0.9%). The change of the current operation into full time employee accounted for 79.7% and only 16.1% agreed to current operation of clinic visit by the community health center. The results showed that need for dentist was 3.69 by Likert 5 point scale. Conclusions: The oral health policy must be established to develop and implement the oral health programs for the school clinics.
