We present an improved binomial method for pricing financial deriva-tives by using cell averages. After non-overlapping cells are introduced around each node in the binomial tree, the proposed method calculates cell averages of payoffs at expiry and then performs the backward valuation process. The price of the derivative and its hedging parameters such as Greeks on the valuation date are then computed using the compact scheme and Richardson extrapolation. The simulation results for European and American barrier options show that the pro-posed method gives much more accurate price and Greeks than other recent lattice methods with less computational effort.

진균에 의한 합성 고분자재료 분해도의 측정을 보다 효율적으로 수행하기 의한 soft agar overlay법을 고안하였다. 이 방법은 고분자재료에서의 균 생장도를 쉽게 파악 할 수 있도록 하고, 생분해도 측정기관을 크게 단축시킬 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 난분해성 고분자 재료에서의 분해도 차이를 정확하게 나타내 줌으로써 기존의 측정방법에 비하여 그 효율성이 높았다.

본 논문에서는 3차원 집적 영상 기술에서 렌즈배열 모델을 적용하여 컴퓨터적으로 해상도가 개선된 3차원 영상을 재생하는 방법을 제안하고, 그 성능을 분석한다. 기존의 보고된 컴퓨터 적 시점 재생 방법은 핀홀 배열 모델에 기초하지만, 제안하는 방법은 렌즈 배열 모델을 적용하기 때문에 동일한 요소영상에서 다수의 픽셀을 추출하여 높은 해상도를 얻을 수 있다. 제안한 방법의 유용함을 보이기 위해 기초적인 실험을 수행하고 그 결과를 보고한다.

A matrix converter is used for converting AC/AC power directly. In order to generate sinusoidal input/output waveform in matrix converter, it uses nine bidirectional switches and PWM modulation. This paper presents an analytical averaged loss model of matrix converter with DDPWM(direct duty ratio PWM) and proposes a new switching method for reducing switching losses. A Mathematical loss models with average magnitude of voltage/current are classed as conduction and switching loss. The proposed switching pattern is improved with existing DDPWM. To prove improved efficiency with proposed DDPWM, this paper compares losses between suggested switching pattern and conventional switching pattern using mathematical and simulation method. Each loss types are influenced by environmental factors such as temperature, switching frequency, output current and modulation method.

A major problem of stopwatch time study is how to do for the accurate and consistent performance rating, which is one of the critical variables to determine the accuracy of work measurement and should be still dependent upon time observer's judgement. Therefore the time observer's ability for the performance rating is very important, and must be improved by correct training method and procedure. This paper developed a new benchmark and benchmark-observation method for the effective performance rating training of assembling and machining operations. The trainees' ability in the accuracy and consistency of the performance rating ,improved significantly after being trained by subject method. The percentage improvement in rating accuracy and consistency values was 34.7% and 49% respectively. In addition, benchmark-practice method for the performance rating training is not significant, so it is proofed that the skill of a certain operation is not important for the improvement of the rating ability.

In this paper, we propose a new method for selecting the threshold on wavelet packet denoising. In selecting threshold, the method using median is not efficient. Because this method can not recover unvoiced signal corrupted by noise. So we partition a speech signal corrupted by noise into the pure noise section and voiced section using autocorrelation and entropy. The autocorrelation and entropy can reflect disorder of noise. The new method yields more improved denoising effect. Especially unvoiced signal is very nicely reconstructed, and SNR is improved.

A new technique to grow a manganese-doped zinc-sulfide(ZnS：Mn) has been proposed using the repeated deposition of the Hot Wall method. The optical characteristics and crystallinity for the ZnS and ZnS：Mn thin films deposited on a quartz glass substrate by the method were investigated. Also, The ZnS：Mn thin film elcetroluminescent devices were fabricated by the method to study luminescence characteristics. All films showed (111)-oriented cubic structure. By the repeated deposition, the deposition rates were decreased, and the optical characteristics and crystalline properties were improved, which clarifies that the method is effective to deposit the thin films with good crystallinity Futhermore, the crystallinity was more improved by the doping of Mn. Only one peak emission at around 585nm originating from Mn luminescent center is observed In the photoluminescent and electroluminescent spectra of ZnS：Mn films and the luminance of the ZnS：Mn-based thin film electroluminescent devices was obtained below 60cd/$m^2$ . The optical and crystalline properties, luminescence characteristics are discussed in terms of the effects of the repeated deposition and Mn-doping.

The traditional FDTD method in the stair case, the CP-FDTD method, the modified CP-FDTD method, and Dey method have been developed to analyze smooth-curved- surface structures. These methods have some disadvantages such as inaccuracy of the stair-case FDTD, instability of the modified CP-FDTD, and complexity of Dey method. The improved algorithm presented here is a mixed-form of the modified CP algorithm and Dey algorithm. It is to avoid collinear borrowing approximations and to manipulate field update equations. All of preceding methods are applied to the E-plane sectoral horn antenna to get far-field patterns. The validity and applicability of the presented one is to be shown by comparing computed far-field patterns with measured values.

This study was surveyed by 430 subjects about the recognition degree and the preference for cooking method in western food. 1. The recognition degree about the western food was higher in men than women. 2. The preference for fish cooking mehtod was high in men than women in baking method in oven. 3. The preference for meat cooking method was higher in men than women in baking method in oven. 4. The content to be improved in western food was 67.6% in $\ulcorner$Proper taste in Korean$\lrcorner$. Wastern cook should be improved properly in Korean tasting.

In this paper, we propose to new dispatcher method, which doesn't depend on an operating system of the server, and the direct routing method, by which a server answers a client's request at first hand. And, propose new web clustering scheme based on the contents on the web where web servers composed of cluster, with each different contents, answer client's request. The other purposes are to reduce overhead of the dispatcher through load balance, and to minimize the time to take in responding to a client's request. The performance of new web cluster scheme was improved by about 39% than that of the existing RR method. It was identified that the performance of the proposed web cluster method was extraordinary improved comparing with that of the existing RR method as a whole.
