Social networking services that connect a person to other people are attracting our attention and various types of on-the-network services are provided. Library has been playing a role of social media by providing with materials such as books and magazines, and with a place for reading, studying, getting lectures, etc. In this paper, we present a method for finding candidates of groups of the library's patrons who share interest areas by utilizing the loan records, which are obtainable by every library. Such a homogeneous group can become a candidate for a study group, a community for exchange ideas, and other activity group. We apply the method to a collection of loan records of a university library, find some problem to be solved, and propose measures for more detailed solutions. Even though the potential group finding problem still remains a lot of problems to be solved, its potential importance is very high and thus to be studies even more for future applications.

Multi-criteria decision making is deducing the relative importance in the criterion of decision making and each alternative which is able to making a variety of choices measures the preferred degree in the series of town ranking criterions. Moreover, this is possible by synthesizing them systematically. In general, a fundamental problem decision maker solve for multi-criteria decision making is evaluating a set of activities which an considered as the target logically, and this kind of work is evaluated and synthesized by various criterions of the value which a chain of activities usually hold in common. In this paper, we use the compensatory models for the optimal decision making. For the purpose of optimal decision making, the data of five different car models are used in Europe.

The forest vegetation of Jongyeoul hill, Seoul, was classified into six secondary forests and two plantations by ZM method; Pinus densiflora, Quercus acutissima, Pinus rigida, Robinia pseudoacacia and Alnus hirsuta-Quercus mongolica community, and Castanea crenata and Pinus koraiensis plantation. In the herb layer the species richness and total coverage of deciduous broad leaf forests showed higher values than those of evergreen needle leaf forests. The peak in July at Q. acutissima forest and in the middle of June at R. pseudoacacia forest. Simpson's diversity index(Ds) in different stands are as follows: Ds>0.6 in R. pseudoacacia forest, Ds=0.3~0.6 in Q. acutissima forest and Ds<0.3 in P. densiflora and P. rigida forest. It is found that, although dominance rank and importance value were originated from different school each other, two measures can be used exchangablym showing almost linear positive correlation between them in this study.

Recently, in the whole fields of industry including shipping business, the conception and importance of Human Factor is very highly and frequently emphasized. But the domestic crew disaster including injury and illness in our shipping business shows higher accident rate than other shipping countries. Therefore the developing of measurec to prevent/reduce the accident is highly required as the marine accident including crew disaster cause enormous loss of property and human life in size and scale. But, because the domestic data regarding the crew accident are relatively insufficient and rare, the developing of these measures has many difficulties. Therefore, this study is to make the concerning data for the useful reference by showing the trend and current situation of crew accidents, assorted by the crew's rank, type of the accident, injured part of the body, cause of the accident, type of ships and type of the works when the accident occurred, by using the each ocean-going shipping company's recent 5 years('95∼'99) data in korea.

The importance of Security measures by means of Physical Security, Network Security and Online/Internet Security. Lack of security is one of the primary obstacles in fielding many technologies in both commercial and DoD networks. Moreover, Internet censorship may be growing and is becoming increasingly sophisticated. In this paper, we will evaluate the Practice to Policy to Theory Approach for survivability by means of software rejuvenation models. These models would be assessed the effectiveness of proactive fault management in operational software systems and determined optimal times to perform rejuvenation.

Measurement of the absolute displacement of the moving machinery components in three-dimensions (3D) is of critical functional importance. This paper describes the system that measures motion associated with six degrees-of-freedom in 3D. Wire-sensors are used to estimate the positions of an object in a 3D Cartesian coordinate system, based on the values of their initial position and the measured values. For inducing the transfer function, which represents the motion of an object, the number of the minimum measurement points is determined. Also, the experimental measuring device is configured to visualize the behavior of a rectangular object in real-time. The software for measuring the six types of motions is directly programmed using a commercial software.

In this paper, we study about effective consumer preference to towels made of paper according to the three kinds of intensities of products from some domestic company, using the AHP.

The purpose of this study collected and analyzed their opinions to found solutions for reducing safety accidents since it is important to educate the students to recognize the importance of safety. We surveyed 350 students from mechanical and metal engineering departments of an engineering high school located in Seoul, and divided them in two categories and asked them about prevention of safety accidents in laboratories. Educational factors found that further directions and educations are needed for the students as to emergency measures in case of safety accidents. Safety education before laboratory classes in crucial, helpful and effective for prevention of safety accidents. Facility factors that further education is needed for students who don't experiments in orderly manner.

The objectives of the on-the-spot inspection in Honam district are to find out the situation of the damages on facilities and the reason of the damages caused by heavy snow, and to suggest the preventive plan for reducing the damages from the future heavy snow. From the results of the on-the-spot inspection, plastic houses, barns and ginseng cultivation facilities are mainly damaged by heavy snow in the Honam district, and the importance of the future heavy snow preparedness measures is highly recognized in an agricultural district. In this research, 4 kinds of alternative proposals for the heavy snow are suggested.

본 논문에서는 사이버 침해 위협 빈도가 점점 증가하고 있는 정부출연연구기관의 정보보안 현황 및 문제점을 조사하여 정보보안에 대한 중요성을 강조하고, 정부출연연구기관 간의 정보보안 비교분석을 통해 개선방안을 마련하고자 한다. 이를 위해 정부출연연구기관의 정보보안 정책, 조직, 예산 등 정보보안과 관련된 데이터를 바탕으로 문제점을 파악하고 개선방안을 제안하여 향후 정부출연연구기관의 안정적인 정보보안 인프라 구축 기반을 마련하는데 기여하고자 한다.
