  • This paper describes the development and implementation for the SYMBOLGEN(SYMBOL GENerator) software. The SYMBOL-GEN software is for improving graphic processing speed and decreasing data communication load in ASC by genera ting and downloading off-line symbol file for HUD and MFD , which are the main display equipments in military aircraft. The SYMBOL-GEN is developed on PC using C++ language and MS Visual Studio 6.0 development tool. It is also designed to be modified and extended easily by introducing object-oriented software development technique.

  • Human can learn how to shape their brain electrical activity in a desired direction through continuous feedback of the electroencephalogram (EEG), and this technique is known as Neurofeedback (or EEG biofeedback), which has been used since the late 1960s in clinical applications. In this study, a portable wireless EEG (named wEEG) has been designed and implemented, which consists of a mobile station (a wireless two-channel EEG acquisition device) and a base station (a bridge between mobile station and computer). Moreover, a SensoriMotor Rhythm (SMR) training system was also implemented with the wEEG for enhancing attention with virtual environment. Experiment results based on 16 volunteers' (8 females and 8 males, average age is $27{\pm}4$) were reported in this paper. The results show that the SMR ratio of 87.5% subjects increased about 0.7% in training status than that in the stable status. With the proposed system, many training protocol scan be designed easily and can be done at home in our daily life conveniently. Additionally, the proposed system will be useful for disabled and aged people.

  • Magnetic resonance electrical impedance tomography (MREIT) is a new medical imaging modality providing cross-sectional images of a conductivity distribution inside an electrically conducting object. MREIT has rapidly progressed in its theory, algorithm and experimental technique and now reached the stage of in vivo animal and human experiments. Conductivity image reconstructions in MREIT require various steps of carefully implemented numerical computations. To facilitate MREIT research, there is a pressing need for an MREIT software package with an efficient user interface. In this paper, we present an example of such a software, called CoReHA which stands for conductivity reconstructor using harmonic algorithms. It offers various computational tools including preprocessing of MREIT data, identification of boundary geometry, electrode modeling, meshing and implementation of the finite element method. Conductivity image reconstruction methods based on the harmonic $B_z$ algorithm are used to produce cross-sectional conductivity images. After summarizing basics of MREIT theory and experimental method, we describe technical details of each data processing task for conductivity image reconstructions. We pay attention to pitfalls and cautions in their numerical implementations. The presented software will be useful to researchers in the field of MREIT for simulation as well as experimental studies.

  • Encryption technology is to hide information in a cyberspace built using a computer and to prevent third parties from changing it. If a malicious user accesses unauthorized device or application services on the Internet of objects, it may be exposed to various security threats such as data leakage, denial of service, and privacy violation. One way to deal with these security threats is to encrypt and deliver the data generated by a user. Encrypting data must be referred to a technique of changing data using a complicated algorithm so that no one else knows the content except for those with special knowledge. As computers process computations that can be done at a very high speed, current cryptographic techniques are vulnerable to future computer performance improvements. We designed and implemented a new encryption program that combines ancient and modern cryptography so that the user never knows about data management, and transmission. The significance of this paper is that it is the safest method to combine various kinds of encryption methods to secure the weaknesses of the used cryptographic algorithms.

  • A recent technology trends in synthetic aperture radar(SAR) requires the ultra high resolution performance in detecting and precisely identifying the targets. In this paper, as a technique for enhancing the radar range resolution, the wide band chirp connection algorithm is presented by stitching the several chirp modules with unit bandwidth based on the linear frequency modulated chirp signal waveform. The principles of the digital chirp signal generation and its architecture for implementation is described with the wide band chirp signal generator, modulator, and demodulator. The performance analysis for the presented algorithm is given with the simulation results.

  • The purpose this study is tend to consider the direction and policy making when the libraries make a decision of outsourcing with the analysis of the application experiences of outsourcing in the academic libraries (including junior college libraries). The research method of this study is questionnaire technique with the theoretical search. The results of the study are as follows: Libraries which experienced outsourcing are satisfied with the results. The subject of the outsourcing are most focused on the cataloging. The efficiency rate was high when the library staffs was participated in the implementation of outsourcing. And respondents answered that the lack of professionalism of vendors which made the outsourcing difficult and reference work is impossible to outsource in the near future.

  • In this paper, we propose an robust CAMShift method to track stage objects with a camera. In order to solve the problem of tracking object misdetection in existing CAMShift technique, MBR region is detected to separate the background and the subject, and the subject size of the region of interest is calculated to solve the problem of erroneously detecting a large region having a similar color distribution ratio. Also, by applying the color corelogram and MB-LBP to the part that can not be solved by the color ratio and the size limitation, accurate texture tracking is enabled by reflecting the texture characteristics. Experimental results show that the proposed method has good tracking performance for objects that do not deviate from the size of the subject set in the area of interest and accurately extracts the texture characteristics of different subjects with similar color distribution ratios.

  • We propose a new authenticated encryption scheme that does not require any block encryption algorithm. Our scheme is based on the Horster-Michels-Petersen authenticated encryption scheme, and it uses a technique in the Bae~Deng signcryption scheme so that the sender's signature can be verified by an arbitrary third party. Since our scheme does not use any block encryption algorithm, we can reduce the code size in its implementation. The computation and communication costs of the proposed scheme are almost the same as those of the Bao-Deng scheme that uses a block encryption algorithm. Our scheme also satisfies all the security properties such as confidentiality, authenticity and nonrepudiation.

  • This paper proposes a method called linear prediction (a high performant technique in digital speech processing) for analyzing digital ECG signals. There are several significant properties indicating that ECG signals have an important feature in the residual error signal obtained after processing by Durbin's linear prediction algorithm. The ECG signal classification puts an emphasis on the residual error signal. For each ECG's QRS complex. the feature for recognition is obtained from a nonlinear transformation which transforms every residual error signal to set of three states pulse-cord train relative to the original ECG signal. The pulse-cord train has the advantage of easy implementation in digital hardware circuits to achive automated ECG diagnosis. The algorithm performs very well feature extraction in arrythmia detection. Using this method, our studies indicate that the PVC (premature ventricular contration) detection has a at least 90 percent sensityvity for arrythmia data.

  • X-Ray Angiography has been gold standard for imaging of blood flow. However, patients have to take many risks such as catheterization procedure, iodine contrast agent and ionizing X-rays. MR Angiography has been suggested as a substitute for its non-hazard to patient. But the resolution and contrast was inferior to that of X-ray Angiography. Recently the resolution and the contrast have been much improved due to the development of fast imaging technique. Here we report some preliminary results of the MR Angiography we have implemented on 1 Tesla MRI unit.
