The article analyzes the impact of factors affecting the environmental accounting of enterprises in the food and beverage industry in Vietnam, providing more empirical evidence on factors affecting environmental accounting. The research method uses a questionnaire survey of managers at all levels, chief accountants, and cost accountants, of 56 enterprises in the food and beverage industry. The survey results collected 268 questionnaires. After eliminating the invalid questionnaires due to many blank cells, the author chose to use 236 questionnaires. Quantitative research was carried out with SPSS 25 software. Research results show that all 6 factors positively affect environmental accounting, which includes Firm size, Stakeholders, Awareness/Knowledge of leaders, financial resources, Qualifications of staff, and Regulations, in which stakeholders and leaders' perceptions are the most influencing factors. Based on the research results, the author has proposed recommendations to improve the ability of enterprises to successfully implement environmental accounting in the food and beverage industry, thereby contributing to improving the operational efficiency of the food and beverage enterprises. The Vietnamese market is very potential, so the Government, authorities, customers, investors, etc., contribute to creating significant pressure to implement environmental accounting in food and beverage enterprises.
The startup, which is a common noun to start a small business, has been recently one of main targets for policymakers due to its important role for job creation and considerable potential for sustainability of an economy. However, technological entrepreneurship decreased by 5.0% p from 2013 to 2016. The revitalization of entrepreneurial investment promoted by the government is mainly supported in fruitable venture companies at grow stage or 2~3 years before IPO through venture capital firms and angel funds. It is far from an investment at start-up. It is therefore necessary to motivate private investment to be active in the private start-up sector. In addition, the start-up investment requires institutional support and government support to meet the expectations of investors about the possibility of payback and profitability of private investment invested in the founding period. As a small entrepreneur at a comparably early stage in the lifecycle of business, investments for the startup are generally made by informal investors such as family, friends and fools, and their decision making processes are relatively non-programmed compared with ones for listed corporales such as venture capital and angel fund agency. This study focuses on analyzing decision making factors in investment, and verifying an impact of such factors, specifically the possibility of investment payback and investment profitability, in a decision-making process for the startup especially at the very early stage.
The Social Economy including social enterprise is solving various social problems of our society by innovative business Nevertheless, social economic companies have limited investment ingrowth due to insufficient capital. There are various attempts to solve the limit of capital investment by social finance. Social iImpact bonds that introduced performance-based compensation into financial system is recognized as a new means of procuring that capital lacks. 89 social impact bonds were issued in 19 countries around the world. )f the 22 social impact bonds reporting performance, 21 bonds report positive performance. The twelve bonds paid incentives to investors. It can be said that the government provides incentives to review the issuance of social impact bonds at the government level, which is difficult to expand the social welfare budget. This study confirmed the performance of the social impact bonds and confirmed the possibility of introducing it in korea. There is a limit to continuously increasing the government's social expenditure to meet demand. Therefore, in order to support the growth of social economy based on private investment, the issuing of social impact bonds should create a virtuous circle of social financial market.

This paper examines the effects of strong corporate governance for listed companies in accessing capital markets from the point of view of the weighted average cost of capital. Results found that corporate governance had a significant negative(-) relation to the weighted average cost of capital. This finding is consistent with previous research and implies that the higher shareholder ownership and foreign ownership have confidence in the financial information of the company, and therefore, risk is reduced for investors. This results in lower expected rates of return and companies will pay a lower cost of capital. Second, tax evasion had a positive effect(+) on the weighted average cost of capital. The low quality of corporate accounting information is expected to increase tax avoidance. Accordingly, this results in increased risk. If the required rate of return is high in its impact,it leads to increased capital costs. In addition, corporate governance and tax avoidance factors showed a negative affect (-) on the weighted average cost of capital. Corporate governance plays an important role in tax avoidance and the weighted average cost of capital, and strong corporate governance reducesthe impact on tax avoidance. In addition, the weighted average cost of capital in capital markets showed the reducing effect.
Research about U.S. and European countries demonstrated that startups and young firms account for nearly all net job creation. If we want to bring down unemployment and to increase economic growth rate, we need to create new companies and to make them to grow. Credit availability is one of the most important factors for entrepreneurs as they attempt to start or expand a business. For young firms, access to credit for business growth can mean the difference between survival and failure. Equity crowdfunding is an innovative means of raising capital for businesses. Crowdfunding campaigns can give new business access to a large pool of investors. This brings huge benefits for marketing and increase provability of success of business and ROI, so it leads follow-on investment from Venture Capital and Angel investors. In Korea, the survival rate of startups and average growth rate of survivors is far lower than those of the U.S or other countries due to lack of funds for startup or early business growth. Equity crowdfunding can be a new funding source for venture or startups. It can increase startup and survival rate, in addition to the growth rate of survivors, resulting in decreased unemployment rate. In Korea, Equity crowdfunding will be available from 2016. Further study is needed to determine whether the impact of crowdfunding in Korea on job creation will be similar to its impact in the U.S.
Purpose: This paper investigated the relationship between market competition and firm valuation error. Furthermore, Additional analyses were made according to the quality of financial reports and the listed market. Through the process we confirm to the impact of competition on the capital market. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of competition on valuation errors. The preceding studies did not provide a consistent results of the effects of competing functions on the capital market. One view is that the competition could mitigate the information asymmetry, and the other is that monopolistic lessens the manager's involvement in financial reporting. This study is intended to expand the prior study by analyzing the impact of competition on the capital market and on the valuation of investors. Research design, data, and methodology: The analysis was conducted on 12,031 samples over 11 years from 2008 to 2018 using data from market in Korea. Here the valuation error was measured by the research methodology of Rhodes-Kropf, Robinson and Viswanathan (2005), and competition measured by Herfindahl-Hirschman Index multiplied by (-1), and Concentration Ratio by (-1). Results: We confirm that the positive relationship between competition and the valuation error. In addition, we also found that the positive relation between competition and valuation error was in cases of low discretionary accruals and the KOSDAQ market. This means that the net function of competition does not mitigate valuation errors. Conclusions. This study has the following contributions when compared to prior research. First, the relevance between the level of competition and the valuation of the entity was confirmed. The study by Haw, Hu and Lee (2015) suggested that monopolistic industry of analysts' forecast is more accurate due to lower the variability in earnings. This study magnified it to confirm that monopolistic lessen information uncertainty in valuation. Second, the study on valuation errors was expanded. While the study on the effect of valuation errors on the capital market is generally relatively active, it is different that competition degree has analyzed the effect on valuation errors amid the lack of research on the effect on valuation errors.

Companies must capture value for sustainable growth. Capturing value is a critical task for companies, particularly when operating own businesses and organizations or starting new business. The business strategy of many companies focuses on capturing the maximum value from customers and other stakeholders. Even though a wide range of studies on value creation and appropriation has been conducted in the strategic management field, most of studies are still conceptual and theoretical. Thus more empirical studies are required to suggest future-oriented value strategy. This study reveals the value creation and appropriation elements in the aviation industry of Korea. The purpose of this study is to understand the trend of value creation and appropriation in the industry. In addition, the relationship between the elements and firm's performance are tested. The firm's performance is defined by that past and future point of views. The sample were collected from Korean Air and Asiana Air. The empirical test shows that the elements of value creation-appropriation have significant impact on firm's performance. Further, the element of value appropriation to customer has a positive impact both on firm's past and future performance. Our results show that investors acknowledge a value-based strategy as a sign of stock valuation. The results of this test correspond with the earlier one, showing that maximizing customers value rather than shareholder value does deliver impressive returns. The finding suggest that companies need to change their strategy to efficiently manage performance. With the test results, we propose a value-based strategy to maximize firm's future financial and stock performance.
Purpose - The main purpose of this study is to widely investigate the impact of recent pandemic crises on the synchronization of the world capital markets through 25 stock indices from major developed countries. Design/methodology/approach - This study collects 25 stock indices from major developed countries and the time period is between January 5, 2001 and February 24, 2022. The data sets used in the study include finance.yahoo.com and Investing.com.. The Granger causality analysis, unit-root test, VAR analysis, and forecasting error variance decomposition were hired in order to analyze the data. Findings - First, there are significant inter-relations among 25 countries around recent major pandemic crises(such as SARS, A(H1N1), MERS, and COVID19), which is consistent result with previous literature. Second, COVID19 shows much stronger impact on the world-wide synchronization than other pandemics. Third, the return volatility of each stock market varies, unit root tests show that daily stock index data are unstable while daily stock index returns are stable, and VAR(Vector Auto Regression) analyses presents significant inter-relations among 25 capital markets. Fourth, from the impulse response function analyses, we find that each market affects the other markets for short term periods, about 2~4 days, and no long term effect was not found. Fifth, Granger causality tests show one-side or two-sides synchronization between capital markets and we estimate, through forecasting error variance decomposition method, that the explanatory portions of each capital market on other markets vary from 10 to 80%. Research implications or Originality - The above results all together show that pandemic crises have strong effects on the synchronization of world capital markets and imply that these synchronizations should be carefully considered both in the investment decisions by individual investors and in the financial and economic policies by governments.

This study investigates the impact of over-investment on the market value of cash holdings. In addition, this paper examines whether the effect of over-investment on the value of cash holdings differs depending on firms' ownership structure. The results show that increase in over-investment reduces the market value of cash holdings. This suggests that investors perceive that over-investment deteriorates future business performance and generates excessive burdens on future cash flows. As a result, they provide negative evaluation on the market value of cash holdings. In addition, the negative impact of over-investment on the market value of cash holdings is more significant for owner manager firms where managers hold a high level of equity. Such empirical results imply that owner manager firms are more likely to use their cash holdings for private interest, therefore, over-investment reduces the cash value to a greater extent. This study provides empirical evidence that the effect of over-investment on the market value of cash holdings varies depending on the characteristics of firms' ownership structure.
The price-to-earnings ratio (PER) is an important indicator to measure the stock price and profitability of a firm; it is also the most used valuation indicator among investors. When using the PER to compare the investment values of different stocks, these stocks must come from the same sector. This study mainly focuses on the China's listed manufacturing firms. By learning from previous research results and analyzing the current situation, we studied the correlation between the manufacturing sector's PER and its influencing factors from both macro and micro perspectives, the combination of which eventually sheds light on such correlation. Analyzing GDP growth rate data, Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index, and other macroeconomic variables from 2008 to 2018, we conclude that these variables jointly have a certain impact on the average PER of the manufacturing sector. We then form panel data based on relevant (2014-2018) data gathered from 317 of China's A-listed manufacturing firms to study the impact of micro-variables on PER. By using Stata and other software to analyze the panel data, we reach the conclusion that the Debt to Asset Ratio, Return on Equity, EPS growth rate, Operating Profit Ratio, Dividend Payout Ratio, and firm size have a significant impact on PER. The Current Ratio, Treasury Stock ratio and Ownership Concentration have no distinct effect on PER. Based on our empirical findings, we design a theoretical model that affects the PER.
