샤피충격시험기를 이용한 고무보강 폴리머재료의 파괴인자 결정에 관한연구 (A study on the Determination of Fractuye Parameters for Rubber Toughened Polymeric Materials Using Instrumented Charpy Impact Test)

  • The notched Charpy and Izod impact tests arc the most prevalent techniques used to characterize the effects of high impulse loads on ploymeric materials. An analysis method for rubber toughened PVC is suggested to evaluate critical strain energy release rates(Gc) from the Charpy impact energy measurements. An Instrumented Charpy impact tester was used to extract ancillary information concerning fracture properties in addition to total fracture properties and maximum critical loads. The stress intensity factor Kd was computed for varying amounts of rubber contents from the obtained maximum critical loads and also toughening effects were investigated as well.

  • In a micro-unit of electronic-machine, vibration can be excited by a small impact, and this vibration acts as a fatigue load. To measure the vibration effect on the micro unit, a micro dynamic tester is needed to test a micro specimen. In this paper, it has confirmed a movement of the PZT(piezo actuator) to use a sine signal. And, it has confirmed a fracture of specimens by using a tension-tension input signal in PZT. A metal-material property in the micro scale has been tested to compare with the macro scale. A fatigue test has been conducted by using PZT actuator to give a bending-tension effect.

  • In this paper, we investigated on the characteristics and assessment of the insulators damaged by hitting tester(ST-100, Sharp-Eng, KOR). It made that an apparatus act on KS C 3801 for the damaged characteristics and assessment of insulators according to external scattering objects. There are selected 255mm glass insulators and 254mm porcelain insulators as the specimen. The hitting angles of the damaged insulator by pendulum weight are at $72^{\circ}$. At these points, velocity of pendulum weight is about 3.04m/sec and the force is 58.16N. At the hitting angle of 26 degrees, glass insulator is diffused the vibration within it but porcelain insulator is not. The inside vibrations of glass insulator and porcelain insulator are as like as two at the hitting angle of 53 degrees. The damaged glass insulator at the hitting angle of 72 degrees hardly is not diffused.

KTX 제동장치의 고유진동수와 스퀼소음 분석 (Analysis of Natural Frequencies and Squeal Noise of KTX Brake Unit)

  • Brake squeal noise of KTX is very uncomfortable to passengers and workers in stations. A lot of study has been conducted to inquire into the mechanism of the squeal noise. But understanding of the brake squeal noise is still challenging. In this study, we developed a full-scale tester equipped with a KTX mechanical brake unit. And we measured the vibrational characteristics of each component of the brake unit and compared them with frequency response functions of brake squeal noise measured also in the tester. It was found that the brake squeal noise was more closely related to the vibrational characteristics of the brake pads and hangers in friction condition than those of free components.

  • 고무는 금속 및 플라스틱 재료와 달리 작은 하중에서도 큰 변형이 발생되며, 높은 변형 구간에서 탄성특성을 보이는 특징이 있다. 특히 충격흡수 특성이 금속 및 플라스틱보다 우수하므로 제진 및 충격 완충구조물로 널리 활용되고 있다. 충격하중을 받는 고무 구조물의 특성을 평가하기 위하여 자유 낙하형 충격시험기를 이용하여 충격실험을 실시하였으며, ABAQUS/Explicit를 이용하여 유한요소 해석을 수행하였다. 고무의 동강성은 충격펄스의 최대변형량과 충격지속시간으로부터 얻어진 진폭과 주파수를 적용하여 동특성 시험을 수행하고 WLF모델을 적용하여 높은 주파수 대역의 동강성을 예측하였다. 실험을 실시한 $0.3{\sim}l.5J$의 충격에너지 영역에서는 고무의 경도가 증가되면 충격흡수율이 감소되며, 충격에너지가 커질수록 충격흡수율은 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다.

  • Silicon nitride based ceramics reinforced with 3wt% Si$_{3}$N$_{4}$ whisker was prepared by tape casting to investigate the effect of microstructure on erosion behaviors. Hardness and fracture toughness were measured with prepared specimens. A gas blast type erosion tester was used to examine the erosion behavior of the specimens with different impact directions and angles. The erosion rate increases with increasing impact angle. Erosion rate of the silicon nitride ceramics also depends on the grain orientations, The erosion rate was lowered when impaction direction was parallel to the grain orientation This result was explained by the crack deflection and bridging due to the grain orientation.

진동절연 시스템의 충격력과 충격응답 해석 (Contact Force and Response Analysis of Vibration Isolated Systems)

  • In this study, an impact model and impact response analysis method was suggested for the impacts between arbitrary shaped bodies. Unlike the impacts between geometrically simple structures, there is no rules to analyze the impacts between general elastic structures First of all, it has been attempted to explain the impoot between arbitrary elastic structures as the elastic deformation of a virtual contact spring in the vicinity of contact points. The contact stiffness and the exponent are determined from the Hertz's contact theory and F. E. analysis. In order to evaluate the validities and limitations of the proposed methods, an impact tester and the miniature of container, missile and isolators have been provided and tested experimentally. All the experiments were performed with various impact conditions. The results obtained by the proposed methods were directly compared with the measured values in terms of maximum contract force, contact duration, the shape of contact force and the structure responses. The computed contact force and responses, using this proposed methods, were very close to the measured results, unless any plastic deformations were presented.

PC와 ABS 플라스틱재료의 반복적인 충격하중에 의한 기계적 특성 평가 (Evaluation on Mechanical Properties of PC and ABS Plastic Materials by Repetitive Impact)

  • In this study, we tried to evaluate the mechanical properties of Polycarbonate(PC) and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene(ABS) plastic materials, which are frequently used as parts of home appliances and machinery, when repeated impacts were applied. A repeating impact tester for this research was designed and manufactured to apply repetitive impacts. Two types of plastic were repeatedly impacted under a constant load, and a tensile test was performed on the plastic material that was impacted. The tensile strength of PC plastic materials that received impact more than 2000 times was reduced by about 45 % and elongation was reduced by about 10 % when compared to impact free specimens. On the other hand, in ABS plastic, a reduction of tensile strength of about 20 % was observed at about 2,000 impacted specimen, but at about 20,000 repetitive impacted specimen, a tensile strength decrease of about 65 % was observed. And the elongation was reduced by 10 % due to the cyclic harding behavior of the material.

CF/Epoxy 복합평판의 적층구성에 따른 낙추충격특성에 관한 연구 (Characteristics of Falling Weight Impact Responses due to Stacking Sequences of CF/Epoxy Composite Plates)

  • 본 연구에서는 낙추충격 시험시스템을 제작하여 낙추의 응력파 전파 현상을 고려한 CFRP적층판의 충격흡수특성 및 충격강도를 평가하였으며, 초음파 C-스캔너를 이용하여 내부손상영역을 관찰하여 시험편의 손상면적과 흡수에너지의 상관관계를 규명하였다. 적층배향이 다른 직교이방성 시험편이 의사등방성 시험편의 충격에너지와 흡수에너지 수준을 보면 의사등방성 시험편이 흡수에너지가 높게 나타났지만, 충격에너지와 박리면적의 크기는 별 차이가 나타나지 않았으며 계면수가 많은 시험편이 충격에너지를 많이 흡수하였다. 적층수 및 적층방향이 동일한 경우, GFRP 프리프레그를 삽입한 시험편이 그렇지 않은 시험편보다 흡수에너지가 높게 나타났다.
