해수배관 내부 에폭시 코팅재의 캐비테이션 및 침지 열화에 따른 압입인장특성 (Indentation Tensile Properties of Seawater Piping with Cavitation and Immersion Degradation)

  • Seawater has been used to cool devices in nuclear power plants. However, the pipes used to transport seawater are vulnerable to corrosion; hence, the inner side of pipelines is coated with an epoxy layer as prevention. Upon coating damage, the pipe becomes exposed, and corrosion progresses. The major cause is widely known as cavitation corrosion, causing the degradation of mechanical properties. In this study, corroded specimens were prepared using cavitation and immersion methods to clarify the degradation trend of mechanical properties with corrosion. Three different types of epoxy coatings were used, and accelerated cavitation procedures were composed of amplitudes of 15 ㎛, 50 ㎛, and 85 ㎛ for 2 h, 4 h, and 6 h. The immersion periods were 3 and 6 weeks. We conducted instrumented indentation tests on all degradation samples to measure mechanical properties. The results showed that higher cavitation amplitudes and longer cavitation or immersion times led to more degradation in the samples, which, in turn, decreased the yield strength. Of the three samples, the C coating had the highest resistance to cavitation and immersion degradation.

  • 본 연구는 Q-sort 방법론을 통해 직무행복에 관한 SW 인력의 주관적 인식을 조사하였다. 63 명의 응답자들을 분석하여 매우 차별화된 특성을 가진 4 개의 직무행복 유형들이 도출되어 '안정추구 직장생활형', '도전적 자기주도 기술지향형', '현실적 전문가추구형', '순수 기술지향 업무몰입형'으로 명명되었다. '도전적 자기주도 기술지향형'과 '순수 기술지향 업무몰입형' 유형은 최신 ICT 에 흥미를 가지고 전문성으로 인정을 받으며 자아실현 하는 것을 직무행복이라 생각한다. 반면 '안정추구 직장생활형'과 '현실적 전문가추구형'은 직무행복에서 급여와 복지혜택, 승진 등이 더 중요하며 기술자 경력경로로 성장하는 것에는 큰 관심이 없었다. 오늘날은 우수한 SW 개발인력이 경쟁력의 핵심이다. 국가와 기업은 국내 ICT 인력들의 직무행복 추구 성향과 특성에 대해 정확하게 이해함으로써 행복 증진방안을 현실감 있게 마련하여야 한다. 우리나라는 제 4유형과 같은 '순수 기술지향 업무몰입형'인력들이 부족한 만큼 SW 개발자들이 기술전문가로서 자부심과 긍지를 가지고 창의성을 발휘하며 고품질의 산출물을 생산할 수 있도록 행복한 직무 생태계를 조성해주어 4차 산업혁명 시대의 경쟁력을 확보하여야 한다.

실감미디어 기반의 다감각 가상 체감시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Multi-sensory Virtual Reality System based on Realistic Media)

  • This paper proposes how to develop a multi-sensory virtual reality system based on realistic media that can improve the sense of immersion and reality experienced by the user. We suggest four types of multi-sensory virtual reality system; a realistic media experience system which provides sensory experiences to user by interlocking the media file with the sensory informations and reproducing the sensory information suitable for the scene, a real image-based panorama experience system which maximizes the sense of reality, an experience ball system in which users engage themselves into the system environment to lead the story and immersion of the content through interaction with the system, and a cultural heritage experience system based on hand movement recognition. The suggested systems can be applied in a various area such as education, advertisement, culture and arts, performance, exhibition, sports, game, 4D Experience Center, and so on. We supposed that it can contribute to create a variety of sensible contents services in the realistic media industry through the convergence of media, contents, and devices.

열습환경을 고려한 탄소섬유/에폭시 복합재의 핀 체결부 파괴거동 (Failure Behavior of Pin-jointed Carbon/Epoxy Composites under Hygrothermal Environmentals)

  • 본 연구에서는 핀 하중 시험을 통해 열습환경이 탄소섬유/에폭시 복합재료에 미치는 영향을 조사하고 음향방출법을 적용하여 핀 체결부의 파손거동을 분석하였다. 열습환경이 적용된 핀 체결부 시편은 base (침수전), RT (상온침수), HT ($75^{\circ}C$침수)의 세 가지의 조건으로 구분하였다. 결과에 의하면 RT의 경우 base에 비해 베어링강도의 저하정도가 적지만 수분과 온도가 동시에 적용된 열습환경에 노출된 HT의 경우 베어링강도의 저하정도가 크게 나타났다. 또한 음향방출법을 적용하여 누적히트수를 분석한 결과에 따르면 열습을 고려한 경우가 base에 비해 모재균열에 의한 이벤트가 감소하는 경향이 나타났다.

User Needs for Haptic Communication of VR Fashion Product Shopping

  • Non-contact judgment and evaluation for products are increasingly needed along with a rapid environmental change in fashion that sows urgency in the need to implement services that allows users to judge and experience a tactile sense in a fashion product without actual contact. Technological development is required to provide users with syn-aesthetic experiences that integrate the visual, tactile and the auditory. There is also a need to conduct research to increase immersion that provides users with ICT-related experiences communicated through fashion images. The study analyzed demands for haptic communication technology by Korean users in immersive VR fashion product shopping. Accordingly, it defined haptic communication through literature research, investigated immersion in the VR environment and conducted in-depth interviews for haptic communication applicable to VR shopping. Findings show that hedonic reactions by fantasy, emotion and fun function are an important motive in selecting VR shopping. VR fashion product shopping steps were divided into 4: move to store, search in store, search of product and purchase based on offline store shopping experience. It defined the haptic communication by steps and analyzed the types of the haptic feedback to be implemented. The study results provide basic data for developing haptic communication technology that can enhance e a sense of the presence and immersion experiences that can help lay a groundwork for pilot studies on the convergence of the virtual and the real.

긴급보수용 개질 유화아스팔트 고비율 순환골재를 사용한 상온 아스팔트 혼합물의 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation of High-RAP Asphalt Mixtures using Rapid-Setting Polymer-Modified Asphalt Emulsion)

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this study was to evaluate the performance of rapid-setting polymer-modified asphalt mixtures with a high reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) content. METHODS: A literature review revealed that emulsified asphalt is actively used for cold-recycled pavement. First, two types of rapid-setting polymer-modified asphalt emulsion were prepared for application to high-RAP material with no virgin material content. The quick-setting polymer-modified asphalt mixtures using two types of rapid-setting polymer-modified asphalt emulsion were subjected to the following tests: 1) Marshall stability test, 2) water immersion stability test and 3) indirect tensile strength ratio test. RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS : Additional re-calibration of the RAP was needed for laboratory verification because the results of analyzing RAP aggregates, which were collected from different job sites, did not deviate from the normal range. The Marshall stability of each type of binder under dry conditions was good. However, the Type B mixtures with bio-additives performed better in the water immersion stability test. Moreover, the overall results of the indirect tensile strength test of RAP mixtures with Type B emulsions exceeded 0.7. Further research, consisting of lab testing and on-site application, will be performed to verify the possibility of using RAP for minimizing the closing of roadways.

간헐적 침지 방식의 생물반응기 시스템을 이용한 유칼리 선발목 클론 대량증식 (Use of the Temporary Immersion Bioreactor System for Mass Production of Eucalyptus pellita Plus Tree)

  • 식물대량증식에서 생물반응기의 이용은 규모를 대량화하고 자동화 할수 있다는 점에서 생산비를 절감할 수 있는 방법 중 하나이다. 본 연구에서는 유칼리 펠리타 선발목의 대량증식 체계를 확립하기 위해 4가지의 생물반응기 배양시스템에서 유칼리의 생장을 비교하였다. 배양기내에 지지물(net)을 설치하고 매 4시간마다 30분씩 액체배지를 공급한 TIN 배양(Temporary immersion with net)에서 식물체 생장이 가장 좋았다. TIN 시스템하에서 자란 식물체는 동일한 방식에 net가 없는 TIX 배양(Temporary immersion without net)에서 자란 식물체와 비교하여 초장이 3배 이상 증가하였다. 게다가 TIN 시스템에서 생산 된 식물체는 총 엽록소 함량, 엽록소 a/b, 그리고 건물중 등도 증가하였다. 위와 같은 결과는 기내 유칼리나무 생장에 중요한 요인이 식물체가 적당한 간격으로, 그리고 적당한 시간동안 배지에 노출되어야하고, net의 이용이 필수적임을 보여준다. TIN 시스템은 유칼리 클론묘의 대량생산을 위해 최적의 시스템으로 산업화를 위한 유칼리나무 대량생산시 유용하게 이용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

상용 인산칼슘계 분말로 제조된 생체세라믹스의 표면용해 특성 (Dissolution on the Surface of Bioceramics Prepared by Commercial Calcium Phosphate Powders)

  • In this study, dissolution characteristics of four types of commercial calcium phosphate ceramics were investigated in distilled water with respect to chemical composition and microstructure. For all samples, no significant damage was observed after 3 days of immersion. Following the 7 days of immersion, surface dissolution of the ceramics containing a crystalline phase susceptible to water such as TCP, even pure hydroxyapatite, was initiated at grain boundaries and the dissolution was extended interior to the material along the grain boundaries. In the considerably dissolved area, there was grain separation followed by the formation of 20 $\mu\textrm{m}$ of cavities. In at least one case, the residual pores on the surface appeared to initiate dissolution. In a dissolved area, a crack during the fracture propagates along the grain boundaries resulting in intergranular fracture, while transgranular fracture occurs in a dense area without significant dissolution.

  • As form a part of way to improve the durability of concrete placed on deleterious environments such as acidic rivers, sewage wastewater, and sewer system, the paper presented here is the results of experimental immersion test, and for the test solution, 4 types sulfuric acid solution was prepared. From the result of EDS analysis of cement paste at 180 days of immersion, the detected major chemical elements were Ca and S and they are assumed as composing elements of gypsum. A comparative study between prediction models from the Japanese Standard and the present study corresponding to $d=C\sqrt{t}$ and $d=\alpha{\cdot}t^n$ respectively accorded well with each other, as being 0.98 of determination coefficient.

  • This paper presents experimental results for durability performance of GFRP composite exposed to the $80^{\circ}C$ alkali solution. A total of 280 specimens for 4 types of additive and 7 cases of immersion time were prepared and tested. Additives used in this study were PVA, kaolin clay, and alumina powder. Specimens were immerged up to 30 days and tested for tensile strength for each immersion time. The results indicate that it is important to fill the inner space of GFRP composite densely to avoid the decrease of tensile strength. In this study, PVA additive showed better performance than other additives.
