Comparison of instrumental methods for color change assessment of Giomer resins

  • Objectives: The aim of this study was to compare the color change of the Giomer resin composite (Beautifil-Bulk) by using photographs obtained with a smartphone (iPhone 6S) associated with Adobe Photoshop software (digital method), with the spectrophotometric method (Vita Easyshade) after immersion in different pigment solutions. Materials and Methods: Twenty resin composite samples with a diameter of 15.0 mm and thickness of 1.0 mm were confectioned in A2 color (n = 5). Photographs and initial color readings were performed with a smartphone and spectrophotometer, respectively. Then, samples were randomly divided and subjected to cycles of immersion in distilled water (control), açai, Coke, and tomato sauce, 3 times a day, 20 minutes for 7 days. Later, new photographs and color readings were taken. Results: The analysis (2-way analysis of variance, Holm-Sidak, p < 0.05) demonstrated no statistical difference (p < 0.005) between the methods in all groups. Similar color changes were observed for all pigment solutions when using the spectrophotometric method. For the digital method, all color changes were clinically unacceptable, with distilled water and tomato sauce similar to each other and with statistical differences (p < 0.005) for Coke and açai. Conclusions: Only the tomato sauce produced a color change above the acceptability threshold using both methods of color assessment. The spectrophotometric and digital methods produce different patterns of color change. According to our results, the spectrophotometric method is more recommended in color change assessment.

The Effects of Sign Language Video Location in e-Learning System for the Hearing-impaired

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of sign language video location in e-learning system for the hearing-impaired. Background: E-learning education is a good way to resolve the inequality of education for the disabled. Providing a sign language video in e-learning education for the hearing-impaired is very important for their learning. Although the location of sign language video is an important factor in the design of the video, the effect of its location in learning using the e-learning system was not studied. Method: In order to identify the effect of sign language video location on the learning of the hearing-impaired using the e-learning system, the prototypes of the system with different locations were developed. Eighteen people with hearing impairment participated in this experiment. Learning presence, learning immersion, and learning satisfaction were used to measure learning effects with sign language video location. Results: Bottom right position was more preferred through preference evaluation for sign language video location. The learning effect with sign language video location (bottom-left and bottom-right) was not significant. That is, the effects of learning presence, immersion, and satisfaction were not statistically significant with video location. Conclusion: From this study, the following have to be considered in e-learning system design for the hearing-impaired. Although the location of a sign language video is not a significant factor from the experiment, the bottom right position in the design is proposed because learning presence and satisfaction is slightly higher at the bottom right position, and the position is preferred from subjective evaluation. From the analysis of interview data, it was also proposed that the design of a sign language video should be improved for the hearing-impaired. Application: The result of this study can be applied to the e-learning system design for the hearing-impaired.

  • 이미지 왜곡 분야는 공학 및 예술 분야에서 다양하게 연구, 응용되어져 왔다. 본 연구는 이미지 왜곡에 관한 공학기술을 이용하여 예술적 감성을 표현하기 위한 연구이다. 이를 위해 먼저, 이미지 왜곡의 예술적 표현에 대한 미학적 해석을 살펴본다. 또한 자기력을 이용한 이미지 왜곡이 예술적 표현방법이 될 수 있으며, 사용자 몰입요소를 포함하고 있음을 설명한다. 그리고 실제 Unity3D 엔진을 이용하여 구현을 보여줌으로써 자기력 기반의 이미지 왜곡이 예술적 표현의 이미지 왜곡으로 사용될 수 있는 가능성을 보여준다. 본 연구는 과학기술과 예술의 융합을 통한 창조적인 감성콘텐츠의 제작과 개발에 도움을 줄 수 있다.

가상현실 점포의 특성에 관한 연구 -현대백화점 VR 스토어와 eBay VR 백화점 사례를 중심으로- (A Research on the Characteristics of Virtual Reality Stores -Focused on Hyundai VR Store and eBay VR Department Store-)

  • This study investigates the characteristics of VR stores that emerged as new fashion communication media. Two case studies on Hyundai and eBay VR Department stores were conducted along with a discussion of the function and meaning of the fashion VR store. The results showed that both stores provide novel shopping experiences; however, the two were differentiated in terms of production method and technology implementation level. Functional aspects such as providing shopping efficiency and purchasing service was insufficient in both stores. Instead, they were complementing by means of product rotation, recommendation system, voice guidance, or linkage with an online shopping mall. In experiential aspects, both stores provided a strong sense of immersion. Hyundai VR store enhanced immersion with a high resolution image of a real offline store; however, it lacked in the ability to provide multisensory stimulation such as kinetic sense or auditory stimulation. The eBay VR Department store intensified the immersion experience by providing auditory stimulation as well as visual stimulation that enhanced the speed and distance sense through the utilization of animation. However, the extent of experience was limited in terms of agency and transformation because of the low interactivity found in both store systems.

  • 기존의 증강현실은 객체와 배경과의 원활한 상호작용을 위하여 데이터 글러브나 마커 등을 이용하였다. 이는 사용에 불편함과 몰입감 저하의 결과를 발생한다. 증강현실에서 몰입감을 강화하기 위해서는 부가적인 입력장치의 제거가 필요하다. 이를 위해 마커가 부착되지 않은 상태에서도 정확한 공간좌표의 인식을 필요로 한다. 본 논문에서는 증강현실에서의 몰입감 향상을 위해 부가적인 입력장치의 착용없이 상호 작용을 하기 위한 가상의 공간좌표 생성 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 획득한 영상을 2차원 공간상에 투영하고 특징선을 추출하여 투영된 가상공간좌표를 계산하여 가상의 객체를 투영하였다. 이는 Markerless 증강과 모바일 증강 등에 응용이 가능하다.

To seek cost saving or reform in logistics class that is last area of pursuit of profits within ancient city life in the fast lane from these viewpoint, importance of study that integrates and manages international logistics bases supply neck walk is emphasized. Specially, to meet on in terms of competitive power security regarding curtailment of logistics cost is available through link between logistics bases, various consumer's request, merchandise and service logistics management that supply fixed quantity as is reliable in right place at good season was embossed by point game plan of business management, and SCM efficiency anger of mortification international logistics activity importance of study that see at that dominate competitive advantage point bring. This study analyzes interrelation and presents model for integration of international logistics bases supply network with supply network habit at factor and supply chain, and supply network activity in integration of supply chain process and production. Also, it establishes following method of study to achieve study purpose for actual proof analysis for integration sequence of international logistics bases supply network. Specially, immersion of network and supply network, very high interrelation appeared by thing which is with international logistics base supply network integration. The integration of international logistics base supply network means that the enterprises which give trust and sincerity deal with market environment change positively and can decide proceeding of various cooperative work. Also, it means the possibility by necessity of cooperative relation and interdependence to continuous immersion and normative immersion, for the maintain of long business relations.

과일류의 염소 소독 농도 및 세척 횟수에 따른 미생물 제거 효과 (Anti-microbial Effects of Washing and Chlorine Treatments on Fresh Fruits)

  • This study examined the anti-microbiological effects of chlorine treatment on the surface of fresh fruits, in order to improve microbiological safety in school foodservice operations. Non-peeled fruit(strawberries) and peeled fruit(bananas) were treated with different concentrations of chlorinated water and rinsing numbers, followed by microbiological testing. The fruits were immersed at different concentrations of chlorinated water(0 ppm, 50 ppm, and 100 ppm) and durations(3 min and 5 min), and were then rinsed with tap water(one time, two times, or three times). The total viable cell counts of both the strawberries and bananas ranged from $10^3$ CFU/g to $10^4$ CFU/g, and coliform levels ranged from $10^2$ CFU/g to $10^3$ CFU/g. As the chlorine concentration, immersion time, and rinsing number increased, anti-microbiological activity increased. The largest microbial reduction was shown with immersion for 5 min in 100 ppm chlorinated water and three rinsings. In the strawberries, this treatment reduced the initial population of total viable cells and coliforms by 3.29 log CFU/g and to an undetectable level, respectively, no total viable cells or coliforms were detected on the banana surface following this treatment. However, after a sterilization treatment with immersion for 5 min in 50 ppm chlorinated water and three rinsings, the total viable cell counts and coliform counts of the strawberries and bananas decreased to acceptable levels, based on the microbiological standards for ready-to-eat foods. Overall, it was shown that the sterilization treatment of 50 ppm chlorinated water, soaking for 5 min, and three rinsings provided an effective reduction in surface microbes, and enhanced the microbiological safety of the fruit.

  • Influencer(사회적 영향력을 가진 사람)의 경제활동이 지속적으로 발전하면서 'influencer'는 다양한 삶의 영역으로 영향력을 미치기 시작했으며, 많은 경제적 수입을 창출하고 있다. 동시에 각 업종도 자신의 'influencer'를 만들고 있다. 예술 전시 업계, 'influencer'로 불리는 예술 전시는 전통 예술 전시의 방식을 바꾸고 있다. 본 논문은 'influencer'로 불리는 예술 전시를 연구 대상으로 한다. 기존의 예술 전시회와는 다른 'influencer' 예술 전시회는 관객에게 전시를 통한 경험을 얻도록 더 많은 관심을 기울이고 있다. 그것은 비록 예술 전시회의 전문성을 감소시키지만, 더 많은 비전문분야의 방문객들이 예술 전시회를 보고 경험하게 한다. 'Influencer' 예술 전시는 상업적인 마케팅이지만 대중이 예술문화에 대한 소비를 늘리면서 관람객들에게 생생한 문화체험을 줄 수 있는 '영향자' 전시가 바로 대중의 문화소비 욕구를 충족시키고 있다. 몰입형 'influencer' 예술 전시회는 예술 전시회의 주요한 전시형태로 자리 잡을 것이며 혁신, 창의성, 예술 전문성 및 상업 마케팅을 통해 'influencer' 예술 전시회는 지속적으로 발전하리라 생각한다.

  • 무한균질공기(無限均質空氣)에 방사성물질(放射性物質)이 균일(均一)하게 분포(分布)된 방사성운(放射性雲)에서 피폭선량(被曝線量)은 일반적(一般的)으로 단일(單一)에너지 점등방선원(點等方線源)커넬 방법(方法)에 의하여 계산(計算)하고 있다. 이 방법(方法)의 가장 큰 제한성(制限性)은 인체표면(人體表面)에서만의 선량(線量)을 개산(槪算)한다는 사실(事實)이다. 이와같은제한성(制限性)을 제거(除去)하기 위하여, 이 보고서(報告書)는 감마선방출대형방사성운(線放出大型放射性雲) 속에서 방사선량계산(放射線量計算)에 인체표면(人體表面)에 입사(入射)되는 산난광자(散亂光子)스펙트럼을 고려(考慮)한 다른 접근방법(接近方法)을 도입(導入)하였으며, 그 결과(結果)는 다른 연구자(硏究者)들의 결과(結果)와 잘 일치(一致)하였다. 여기에서 얻은 결과(結果)는 현재(現在) 연구(硏究)가 진행중(進行中)인 무한(無限) 또는 반무한균질공기방사선운(半無限均質空氣放射線雲)에서 MIRD팬텀내 흡수선량분포결정(吸收線量分布決定)의 입력자료(入力資料로서 이용(利用)될 것이다.

침지방법에 따른 지오폴리머의 압축강도 변화 메커니즘 (Mechanism of change in compressive strength of geopolymers by immersion method)

  • 본 연구는 오토클레이브에서 양생된 시편들을 침지했을 때 시편의 압축강도 변화 메커니즘(mechanism) 규명을 위해 수행되었다. 침지는 3일, 7일, 21일간 진행되었으며, 침지 용액은 증류수, 2M, 8M, 14M 알칼리용액에서 진행되었다. 단기간동안 침지한 시편들의 압축강도 변화는 크지 않았으나, 21일 동안 증류수 및 8M 알칼리 용액에 침지한 시편들의 압축강도는 추가적인 지오폴리머 반응에 의해 침지전 시편에 비해 2배 이상 증가하였다. 하지만, 일정농도 이상으로 알칼리를 공급해주면 알칼리 골재 반응에 의해 압축강도가 감소하였다. 따라서 오토클레이브에서 양생한 시편들의 압축강도 증진을 위해서는 증류수 및 8M 알칼리용액에서 21일 이상 장기간 침지하는 것이 바람직한 것으로 판단되었다.
