  • In this paper, we proposed an effective technique that greatly improves the security of the watermark by concealing the multiple-encrypted watermark in the LSB of the image pixel. Even if multiple encrypted watermark hidden in the LSBs of an image pixel are extracted, it is impossible to decrypt them, so the security of the watermark is maintained very high. If the watermark is multiple encrypted and hidden in the image using the proposed technique, the visual quality of the watermark-hidden image is very high, making it impossible to distinguish between the original image and the resulting image in which the watermark is hidden. The original watermark data can be completely extracted without loss, according to the procedure of the proposed technique, from the resulting image that the watermark is encrypted and hidden in the original image. The performance of the proposed technique was analyzed mathematically and the superiority of the proposed technique was confirmed through experiments. The proposed technique is an excellent image watermarking technique that greatly improves the security of the watermark hidden in the image compared to the existing technique.

  • This paper presents a user identification method at H.264 streaming using watermarking with fingerprints. The watermark can efficiently reduce the potential danger of forgery or alteration. Especially a biometric watermark has convenient, economical advantages. The fingerprint watermark can also improve reliability of verification using automated fingerprint identification systems. These algorithms, however, are not robust against common video compression. To overcome this problem, we analyze H.264 compression pattern and extract watermark after restoring damaged watermark using various filters. The proposed algorithm consists of enhancement of a fingerprint image, watermark insertion using discrete wavelet transform and extraction after restoring. The proposed algorithm can achieve robust watermark extraction against H.264 compressed videos.

  • Cellular automata are discrete dynamical systems, which provide the basis for the synthesis of complex emergent behavior. This paper proposes a new algorithm of digital watermarking based on cellular automata transform (CAT). The idea of two-dimensional CAT is introduced into the algorithm. After the original image is disassembled with 2D CAT, the watermark information is embedded into the Middle-frequency of the carrier picture. Cellular automata have a huge number of combinations, such as gateway values, rule numbers, initial configuration, boundary condition, etc. Using CAT, the robustness of the watermark will be tremendous strengthened as well as its imperceptibility. Experimental results show that this algorithm can resist some usual attacks such as compression, sharpening and so on. The proposed method is robust to different attacks and is more security.

  • In this paper, we proposed a wavelet-based digital watermarking algorithm using human visual system and subband-adaptive threshold. After the original image is transformed using discrete wavelet transform(DWT), the perceptually significant coefficients of the each subband excluding the lowest level subbands are utilized to embed the watermark. To select perceptually significant coefficients, we use subband-adaptive threshold. For the selected coefficients, the watermark is embedded by rising HVS. We tested the performance of the proposed algorithm compared with conventional watermarking algorithm by computer simulation. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is superior to the conventional algorithm.

  • In this paper, we present a robust watermarking technique based on a DCT-domain watermarking approach and an order statistic(OS) filter. The proposed technique inserts one watermark into each of four coefficients within a 2 ${\times}$ 2 block which is scanned on DCT coefficients in the zig-zag ordering from the medium frequency range. The detection algorithm uses an adaptive trimmed mean operator as a local estimator of the embedded watermark to obtain the desired robustness in the presence of additive Gaussian noise and JPEG compression attacks. The performance is analyzed through statistical analysis and numerical experiments. It is shown that the robustness properties against additive noise and JPEG compression attacks are more enhanced than the previous techniques.

  • Digital watermarking is the technique, which embeds an invisible signal including signal including owner identification and copy control information into multimedia data such as audio, video, and images for copyright protection. A new MPEG watermark embedding algorithm using complex block effect based on the Human Visual System(HVS) is introduced in this paper. In this algorithm, $8{\times}8$ dark blocks are selected, and the watermark is embedded in the DC component of the discrete cosine transform(DCT) by using quantization and modulus calculation. This algorithm uses a blind watermark retrieval technique, which detects the embedded watermark without using the original image. The experimental results show that the proposed watermark technique is robust against MPEG coding, bitrate changes, and various GOP(Group of Picture) changes.

  • In this letter, a novel wavelet-based semi-fragile watermarking scheme is presented which exploiting the time-frequency feature of chaotic map. We also analyze the robustness to mild modification and fragility to malicious attack of our scheme. Its application includes tamper detection, image verification and copyright protection of multimedia content. Simulation results show the scheme can detect and localize malicious attacks with high peak signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR), while tolerating certain degree of JPEG compression and channel additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN)

  • In this paper, we propose a watermarking method for still images using Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT). Watermarking is a copyright protection technique for digital contents by hiding secret information into the contents. The proposed method embeds the watermark information into DCT coefficients. To obtain a watermarked image that is not only high quality but also has robustness for compression, we considered a method to change the degree of embedding by utilizing the activity of each DCT block. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme can obtain huh quality watermarked images and we can extract most of the embedded data even if they are compressed by JPEG scheme.

  • In this paper, a new watermarking method for a copy protectionof images is proposed. The proposed method adaptively embeds a watermark in the frequency domain of images using human visual system model. For this purpose, the Just Noticeable Differences(JNDs) of each frequency coeffeicient value of a luminance plane is first found using Watson and Solomon's visual system model. An invisible maximum watermark value with is different in every position according to the characteristics of images is determined usig JND and Minkowski metric. A low frequency domain is divided into two sets based on a PN-sequence to protect thewatermark from the attack. The watermarks are added to one set of coefficients and detecting a watermark, the difference between the mean values of absolute coefficient values of both sets is calculated. The embedded watermark is tested using statistical hypothesis based on test static dertermined by the ean difference. To demonstrate the perfromance of the proposed method, the new watermarking method is applied to a high frequency image and low frequency images. Experimenatal results show the watermark is invisible and robust to JPEGlossy compression and noise.

  • This paper proposes a user-key-based fragile watermarking for detecting image modification. The embedding data in a form of binary image for authentication are inserted to the DCT coefficients of each block of the given image. To minimize possible exposure of being watermarked and the location of insertion, it is proposed to utilize a user-specific key in randomizing those information. Each DCT block hides one bit of data, all of which represent the user-specific authentication data. Experiments with 5 real images demonstrate that the proposed method not only detects whether there is modification or not, but also the actual location of modification with minimal visual deterioration. However, the proposed method has room for improvement against its loss of watermark by an attack of compression by more than 50%.
