Cultural Contents of Image Texts and Memory Industry as the Memory - Focused on the Counter Memory of the Sixth Generation Chinese Movies - (기억으로서의 영상매체와 기억산업의 문화콘텐츠 - 중국 6세대 영화의 대항기억을 중심으로 -)

  • As cultural contents are rising to the surface, the contents and interests regarding the industries that utilize the culture become higher than any other times. Culture is performed with memory, and the culture that excludes memory cannot exist. The memory exceeds a dimension of the individual and operates with an assembled and social memory. Furthermore the culture requires media to put memories inevitable. Therefore, recent image texts are coming to the attention as new storage media. So this essay analyzed the meaning of 'memory' as social-cultural memory by putting the sixth generation Chinese movies to the center and restoration of image text that puts memory in it. And also, I examined the cultural meanings of 'individual memories' as the 'counter memory' and tried to find the possibility of junction between memory industry and the contents. I focused on the sixth generation Chinese movies because these movies made remarkable progresses in the international film festivals though they were made in 'underground' by objecting to 'official memory' proposed by the Chinese government.

A Study on Laser Cutting Path Generation by Image Processing (이미지처리를 통한 레이저 가공경로생성에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents a laser cutting of 2D image. 2D image in pixel graphic format is converted into vector graphic image by image processing. Bitmap graphics are made easily, but can not being used in application works for geometry transition. The Sobel's Edge detection method is used to find boundary points on 2D image. The points are fitted into curves with sampling and filtering. Sampling can provide efficient computation and filtering reconstuct features in image. The NC code is generated on MURBS curve of the points. Also, the offset of contour and cutting conditions are considered.

  • In this paper, we address an active ranging system based on laser structured light image for mobile robot application. Since the burdensome correspondence problem is avoidable, the structured light image processing has efficient computation in comparison with the conventional stereo image processing. By using a cylindrical lens in the laser generation, it is possible to convert a point laser into a stripe laser without motorized scan in the proposed system. In order to achieve robustness against environmental illumination noise, we propose an efficient integro-differential image processing algorithm. The proposed system has embedded image processing module and transmits distance data to reduce the computational burden in main control system.

The Suggestion of Particular Area Image Search Method (부분 영역 이미지 검색 방법의 제안)

  • We propose a method to connect partial image in whole image to partial image in whole image of other internet site. For this study, we have developed four partial image generation methods and retrieval methods. A method of 'image segmentation' that cuts out only partial images that want to provide information from the whole image, a method of 'creating an image block' that finds outermost points of a cut-out partial image, a method of 'Stamp transformation of outer points', which connects outer points and registers them as the most similar image stamp, and a retrieval method that connects image stamps with other image stamps are developed. We suggested a image search UI that can use image stamps in various ways.
