랜덤 위상 마스크와 2-단계 위상 천이 디지털 홀로그래피를 이용한 이진 영상 이중 암호화 (Double Encryption of Binary Image using a Random Phase Mask and Two-step Phase-shifting Digital Holography)

  • In this paper, double encryption technique of binary image using random phase mask and 2-step phase-shifting digital holography is proposed. After phase modulating of binary image, firstly, random phase mask to be used as key image is generated through the XOR operation with the binary phase image. And the first encrypted image is encrypted again through the fresnel transform and 2-step phase-shifting digital holography. In the decryption, simple arithmetic operation and inverse Fresnel transform are used to get the first decryption image, and second decryption image is generated through XOR operation between first decryption image and key image. Finally, the original binary image is recovered through phase modulation.

반복적인 위상 랩핑 방법을 이용한 실질적인 암호화 및 복호화 시스템 (Practical Encryption and Decryption System using Iterative Phase Wrapping Method)

  • In this paper, we propose an improved practical encryption and fault-tolerance decryption method using a non-negative value key and random function obtained with a white noise by using iterative phase wrapping method. A phase wrapping operating key, which is generated by the product of arbitrary random phase images and an original phase image. is zero-padded and Fourier transformed. Fourier operating key is then obtained by taking the real-valued data from this Fourier transformed image. Also the random phase wrapping operating key is made from these arbitrary random phase images and the same iterative phase wrapping method. We obtain a Fourier random operating key through the same method in the encryption process. For practical transmission of encryption and decryption keys via Internet, these keys should be intensity maps with non-negative values. The encryption key and the decryption key to meet this requirement are generated by the addition of the absolute of its minimum value to each of Fourier keys, respectively. The decryption based on 2-f setup with spatial filter is simply performed by the inverse Fourier transform of the multiplication between the encryption key and the decryption key and also can be used as a current spatial light modulator technology by phase encoding of the non-negative values. Computer simulations show the validity of the encryption method and the robust decryption system in the proposed technique.

A Joint Transform Correlator Encryption System Based on Binary Encoding for Grayscale Images

  • A binary encoding method for grayscale images is proposed to address their unsatisfactory decryption results from joint transform correlator (JTC) encryption systems. The method converts the encryption and decryption of grayscale images into that of binary images, and effectively improves decrypted-image quality. In the simulation, we replaced unencoded grayscale images with their binary encoded counterparts in the JTC encryption and decryption processes, then adopted a median filter to suppress saturation noise while keeping other settings unchanged. Accordingly, decrypted-image quality was clearly enhanced as the correlation coefficient (CC) between a decrypted image and its original rose from 0.8237 to 0.9473 initially, and then further to 0.9937, following the above two steps respectively. Finally, optical experimental results confirmed that the proposed encryption system works correctly.

시각 암호화와 가상 위상영상을 이용한 광 암호화 시스템 (Optical encryption system using visual cryptography and virtual phase images)

  • 광을 이용하여 암호화를 하는 경우는 위조 및 복제의 방지를 위하여 세기성분보다는 위상성분을 이용하여 주로 암호화를 하고 있다. 그러나 위상정보를 검출할 수 있는 장비가 개발된다면 정보를 유출 당할 수 있는 위험이 있다. 이러한 위험을 줄이기 위해 본 논문에서는 가상 위상영상을 이용하고 또한 정보를 다수가 공유할 수 있도록 시각 암호화(visual cryptography) 방법을 이용하여 정보를 보다 안전하게 보관하고 공유하는 시스템을 제안하였다.

  • In this paper a Phase-based virtual image encryption and decryption techniques based on a joint transform correlator (JTC) are proposed. In this method, an encrypted image is obtained by multiplying a phase-encoded virtual image that contains no information from the decrypted image with a random phase. Even if this encryption process converts a virtual image into a white-noise-like image, the unauthorized users can permit a counterfeiting of the encrypted image by analyzing the random phase mask using some phase-contrast technique. However, they cannot reconstruct the required image because the virtual image protects the original image from counterfeiting and unauthorized access. The proposed encryption technique does not suffer from strong auto-correlation terms appearing in the output plane. In addition, the reconstructed data can be directly transmitted to a digital system for real-time processing. Based on computer simulations, the proposed encryption technique and decoding system were demonstrated as adequate for optical security applications.

웨이브렛 패킷 변환의 특성을 이용한 영상 암호화 알고리즘 (Image Cryptographic Algorithm Based on the Property of Wavelet Packet Transform)

  • Encryption of digital images has been requested various fields. In the meantime, many algorithms based on a text - based encryption algorithm have been proposed. In this paper, we propose a method of encryption in wavelet transform domain to utilize the characteristics of digital image. In particular, wavelet transform is used to reduce the association between the encrypted image and the original image. Wavelet packet transformations can be decomposed into more subband images than wavelet transform, and various position permutation, numerical transformation, and visual transformation are performed on the coefficients of this subband image. As a result, this paper proposes a method that satisfies the characteristics of high encryption strength than the conventional wavelet transform and reversibility. This method also satisfies the lossless symmetric key encryption and decryption algorithm. The performance of the proposed method is confirmed by visual and quantitative. Experimental results show that the visually encrypted image is seen as a completely different signal from the original image. We also confirmed that the proposed method shows lower values of cross correlation than conventional wavelet transform. And PSNR has a sufficiently high value in terms of decoding performance of the proposed method. In this paper, we also proposed that the degree of correlation of the encrypted image can be controlled by adjusting the number of wavelet transform steps according to the characteristics of the image.

  • 컴퓨터성능의 향상과 인터넷의 발달로 인하여 디지털 이미지의 보안에 대한 중요성이 계속 증가 하고 있고, 이런 현상때문에 혼돈신호를 이용한 암호화 알고리즘은 새롭고 효과적인 이미지 암호화 방법중의 하나로 제시되고 있다. 본 논문에서 우리는 기존의 혼돈신호를 이용한 암호화 방법의 혼돈신호가 특정 값에 변중된 분포로 생성되는 현상에 대한 암호화의 문제점을 보이고 우리가 설계한 다중변수 혼돈계를 이용한 암호화 알고리즘은 혼돈신호의 분포가 생성되는 신호의 전체 영역에 일정한 분포로 발생되는 것을 보인다. 우리는 이미지를 암호화하고 복호화한 결과값으로 우리가 제시한 다중변수 혼돈계를 이용한 암호화 방법의 타당성을 제시한다.

웨이브렛 변환 계수의 특성을 이용한 생체 영상 암호화 알고리즘 (Biometric Image Cryptographic Algorithm Based on the Property of Wavelet Transform Coefficient)

  • Lossless encryption methods are more applicable than lossy encryption methods when marginal distortion is not tolerable. In this research, the author propose a novel lossless symmetric key encryption/decryption technique. In the proposed algorithm, the image is transformed into the frequency domain using the lifting wavelet transform, then the image sub-bands are encrypted in a such way that guarantees a secure, reliable, and an unbreakable form. The encryption involves scattering the distinguishable frequency data in the image using a reversible weighting factor amongst the rest of the frequencies. The algorithm is designed to shuffle and reverse the sign of each frequency in the transformed image before the image frequencies are transformed back to the pixel domain. The results show a total deviation in pixel values between the original and encrypted image. The decryption algorithm reverses the encryption process and restores the image to its original form. The proposed algorithm is evaluated using standard security and statistical methods; results show that the proposed work is resistant to most known attacks and more secure than other algorithms in the cryptography domain.

직교성을 이용한 계층적 영상 암호화 (Hierarchical Image Encryption System Using Orthogonal Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 직교성의 특성을 가진 Walsh code 영상과 무작위 위상 영상을 이용하여 계층적인 영상의 암호화 및 복호화로 영상 정보의 수준에 따른 효율적인 정보보호와, 암호화의 수준을 향상시키는 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 암호화 과정은 각각의 원 영상과 무작위 위상 영상을 곱한 영상을 푸리에 변환 후, Walsh code 영상과 이진 무작위 위상영상을 곱한 영상에 확산시켜 암호화한다. 복호화 키는 암호화 과정에 사용된 Walsh code 영상을 정보의 수준에 따라 더함으로써 계층적인 복호화 키를 생성한다. 그러므로 하나의 복호화 키로도 정보 보호의 수준에 따라 각 암호화 영상을 복호화할 수 있다. 또한 이진 무작위 위상과 무작위 위상 영상은 암호화 영상을 백색 잡음의 패턴과 유사하여 암호화 수준이 높은 장점을 가진다. 컴퓨터 실험과 고찰을 통하여 암호화의 적합함을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에서 위상변조와 푸리에 변환을 이용하여 이진 영상을 위한 새로운 암호화 방법을 제안한다. 복호를 위해서 제곱칙 특성을 이용한다. 키 영상은 랜덤 패턴의 위상변조와 그의 푸리에 변환으로 구해지며 입력영상은 위상 변조된 랜덤 패턴과 위상 변조된 입력의 곱을 푸리에 변환함으로서 암호화된다 암호화된 영상과 키 영상은 위상 정보만을 가지므로 일반 세기 검출기로는 복사나 위조가 불가능하며 복호는 키 영상에 의해서만 가능하다. 원 영상을 재생하기 위해, 키 영상과 암호화된 영상의 위상 마스크는 푸리에 변환 렌즈와 함께 각각 마흐-젠더 간섭계 경로에 따로 두며 출력 영상은 CCD 카메라에 세기 형태로 나타난다. 제안한 방법은 위상 변조기로 LCD를 사용하고 CCD 카메라의 특성을 이용하여 재생하므로 실시간 처리가 가능하다. 제안된 방법이 컴퓨터 모의 실험과 광학적 실험 결과 암호화 구조로서 우수한 성능을 갖음을 보여준다.
