As UCI (Universal Content Identifier) identification system becomes a national standard for content distribution, many digital contents are distributed through UCI identification system. However, problems associated with copyright infringement and copyright contracts occur due to lack of copyright information. ICN (Integrated Copyright Number), a code system developed for copyright management, includes copyright-related information for the purposes of usage settlement and accounting, illegal usage monitoring, and content filtering. ICN, however, has no information about distribution and content properties. Therefore, the linkage and integration between UCI and ICN can be a basis for the transparent and effective distribution of digital contents. In this paper, we propose a model for linking and integrating UCI and ICN, developing the efficiency in the value chain of each identified system by analyzing political factors and key technical elements between the two identification systems.

In this paper, we discuss the implementation and experimentations of a new future Internet architecture for mobile-oriented environments, named Mobile Oriented Future Internet (MOFI). The MOFI architecture is featured by the host identifier and local locator for identifier-locator separation, Query-First Data Delivery (QFDD), and Distributed Mapping System (DMS) for identifier-locator mapping control. In the existing study on MOFI, we examined the intra-domain mobility control, the implementation of MOFI over Linux platform, and the performance analysis over the small-scale testbed. In this paper, we describe how to implement the MOFI architecture for inter-domain mobility control by using the OpenFlow and Click Modular Router platform. From the experimentations over the KOREN testbed, we can see that the MOFI scheme can give better performance than the existing Proxy Mobile IP scheme.

As the results of the information project, manufacturing of the digital map and various thematic maps of the national land has been completed. Furthermore, it is necessary to organize a systemized management system, which can control and utilize all artificial features (e.g. buildings, roads, bridges etc.) as well as natural geographic features (e.g. rivers etc). Howener, it has difficulties in managing NGIS as a unified system, because of the discordance of DB of each geographic management organizations. Therefore, this study has been conducted to apply to the system and method providing geographic UFID that can be a key in order to managing, searching and utilizing geographic and artificial features and that makes it be able to estimate the location with the only identifier. Moreover, the system and method, providing geographic UFID, applies to systemized management of NGIS DB as well as consistency of information.

This study proposed an integrated management system model of researcher identifiers using the ISNI(International Standard Name Identifier) that can prevent duplicate issuance of identifiers and can be used to reorganize the authors' information. We looked at the metadata structure and management system of the ISNI that can be applied in various fields among identifiers. And we have designed the integrated ID system and system model that can manage the identifiers issued by each institute based on the ISNI. This model consists of data structure layer, platform layer, application layer, management and security layer (4 layers) and we have presented some of the key features and issues to consider when managing the integrations.

With the development of modern society, we are all living in a world where information is shared through mass media and environment. Just as there was an identifier for the approach of information in the past analog environment, there is a demand for the continuous development and research of an original identifier for each and every digital contents of the changing digital environment. In order to present the need for standardization of effective construction concerning digital contents, this study examines the identifiers system structure of ISBN and ISSN of the analog environment and URL, URN, URC, which are under the URI system of the digital environment. After analyzing the problems of different URL identifiers construction in each university library's OPAC system, this study presents a standard device of effective identifiers patterns.

The diffusion of the internet, the advancement of ICT technology, and digital diffusion have facilitated the streamlining and acceleration of scholarly communication and speeding up research, and the paradigm of scholarly information dissemination is changing. This study introduces the ORCID, a unique author identifier, and examines the ORCID organization's activities, the advantages given to researchers and research institutes, and the membership status. In addition, this paper examines adoptions and utilizations of ORCID in major countries including USA, UK, Italy, and China. Based on this, this paper suggests the necessary considerations for utilizing ORCID in terms of governance, system elements, policy and institutional aspects in an effort to identify authors at national level.

A need for sharing the R&D information at a national level regardless of the ministry in charge of it is being aroused. However, this information is being managed by different institutes under different ministries without a standard identifier which makes it difficult to manage the information such as to look up duplicate projects. A URN-based identifier is required for the integrated management and utilization of the national R&D information. In this paper, the concept of the identification metadata for applying the identification system and the status of the information management by each institute will be the subject for discussion. Based on this, the elements required for issuing a unique identification number and identifier to the national R&D projects will be suggested in this paper.

The extraction and recognition of shipping container's identifier is difficult since the scale or the location of identifiers are not fixed-form and input images have some external noises. In this paper, based on these facts, first, edges are detected from input images using canny masking, and regions of container's Identifiers are extracted by applying horizontal and vertical histogram method to canny masked images. We use a fuzzy thresholding method to binaries the extracted container's identifier regions, and contour tracking algorithm to extract individual identifiers. In experimental results, we confirmed that the proposed method is superior In performance.

Standard about OID(Object Identifier) to implement on Internet is discussed at ITU-T, ISO/IEC. The OID should be stored and searched for object on Internet, which is called 'ORS(OID Resolution System)'. The ORS is made by international standard for identifying RFID code types, and in the future would be discussed for USN, u-Health, etc. Therefore, this paper describes the current status of the international standard discussing ORS concept, system structure and protocol, the present issue of the ORS used for RFID and the method for USN services.
