Talipariti simile (Blume) Fryxell: 베트남 미기록종 (Talipariti simile (Blume) Fryxell: a new record for Vietnam)

  • Talipariti simile (Blume) Fryxell (아욱과)을 베트남 미기록 종으로 처음으로 보고한다. 본 종은 줄기에 털이 없는 유사종인 T. macrophyllum (Roxb. ex Hornem.) Fryxell 와는 달리 줄기에 자색을 띠는 작은 털이 있으며, 탁엽은 피침상 타원형으로 크기가 작으며, 삭과는 난형이며 끝이 뾰족하지 않거나 부리모양이 아니다. 종 동정을 위한 분류학적 기재, 식물도해, 원색사진을 첨부하였다. 또한 유사 종들과의 비교를 위한 검색형질을 제시하였다.

First Report of Phytophthora Leaf Blight and Vine Rot of Kudzu (Pueraria lobata) in Korea

  • A disease causing leaf blight and vine rot was recognized on kudzu plants (Pueraria lobata) in Korea since 1991. A species of Phytophthora has been repeatedly isolated from the infected leaves. Identification in species level of the Phytophthora sp. remained unsolved. An isolate, KACC 47616 originally collected from Manchon Park in Daegu, has been kept in our laboratory. In 2013, three new isolates, KACC 47617 and KACC 47618 from Yeongyang and KACC 47619 from Gunwi in Gyeongbuk province, were collected and examined to classify up to species level by characterizing morphology, response to temperature and phylogenetic relationship. On the basis of morphological characters such as the nature of hyphal swelling, sporangia and sex organs, absence of chlamydospore production, optimum temperature for mycelial growth, and internal transcribed spacer rDNA and cytochrome oxidase subunit 1 sequence analysis of the pathogen, the causal fungus of kudzu plant was identified as Phytophthora asiatica.

Vibration analysis of mountain tunnel lining built with forepoling method

  • Nowadays, many tunnels have been commissioned for several decades, which require effective inspection methods to assess their health conditions. The ambient vibration test has been widely adopted for the damage identification of concrete structures. In this study, the vibration characters of tunnel lining shells built with forepoling method was analyzed based on the analytical solutions of the Donnell-Mushtari shell theory. The broken rock, foreploing, rock-concrete contacts between rock mass and concrete lining, was represented by elastic boundaries with normal and shear stiffness. The stiffness of weak contacts has significant effects on the natural frequency of tunnel lining. Numerical simulations were also carried out to compare with the results of the analytical methods, showing that even though the low nature frequency is difficult to distinguish, the presented approach is convenient, effective and accurate to estimate the natural frequency of tunnel linings. Influences of the void, the lining thickness and the concrete type on natural frequencies were evaluated.

빛조개(Soletellina olivacea)로부터 분리된 비브리오의 생화학적 성상 (Identification of the Vibrios Isolated from a Shellfish, Sunset Shell, (Soletellina olivacea))

  • 본 연구는 1997년 1월부터 1997년 11월까지 낙동강 기수지역인 다대포의 모래에서 서식하는 식용 쌍패각 조개인, 빛조개로부터 비브리오를 분리 동정한 것이다. 표현형을 중심으로 한 새와학적 성상으로 빛조개의 내장으로부터 Vibrio alginolyticus, V. parahaemolyticus, V. cholerae non-O1, V. vulnificus, V. salmonicida 및 V. tubiashii 등 8종의 비브리오가 동정되었다. 수온이 $15^{\circ}C$ 이하에서 성장이 불가능한 병원성 세균인 V.parahaemolyticus 가 동절기에 및조개로부터 분리됨으로서 빛조개가 자연계내에서 V.parahaemolyticus 의 월동 보균체중의 하나라는 결론을 얻게 되었다.

버어리종담배 건조엽의 부패세균 Erwinia carotovora subsp. carotovora의 동정 및 부패환경에 관한 연구 (IDENTIFICATION OF THE SOFT ROT BACTERIUM ISOLATED FROM CURING BURLEY TOBACCO LEAVES AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS FOR DEVELOPMENT OF SOFT ROT LESION)

  • The incitant of soft rot on burley tobacco leaves in the curing vinylhouse was identified as Erwinia carotovra subsp. carotovora on the basis of its physiological characters. The bacterium yew best at $25^{\circ}C$ and $30^{\circ}C$, but no growth was detectable at $40^{\circ}C$ in the nutrient broth for 24 hours period. Burley tobacco leaves inoculated with the bacteria (Ecc) produced typical soft rot lesions when the incubation temperature was 25 to $30^{\circ}C$ and the relative humidity was more than 8075, however, the lesion development was suppressed when the temperature was $40^{\circ}C$ and the relative humidity was below 80%. Significant negative correlation was found between hanging space in the curing vinylhouse and the incidence of soft rot on the tobacco leaves harvested in a rainy day regardless of streptomycin treatment.

A Dynamic Defense Using Client Puzzle for Identity-Forgery Attack on the South-Bound of Software Defined Networks

  • Software Defined Network (SDN) realizes management and control over the underlying forwarding device, along with acquisition and analysis of network topology and flow characters through south bridge protocol. Data path Identification (DPID) is the unique identity for managing the underlying device, so forged DPID can be used to attack the link of underlying forwarding devices, as well as carry out DoS over the upper-level controller. This paper proposes a dynamic defense method based on Client-Puzzle model, in which the controller achieves dynamic management over requests from forwarding devices through generating questions with multi-level difficulty. This method can rapidly reduce network load, and at the same time separate attack flow from legal flow, enabling the controller to provide continuous service for legal visit. We conduct experiments on open-source SDN controllers like Fluid and Ryu, the result of which verifies feasibility of this defense method. The experimental result also shows that when cost of controller and forwarding device increases by about 2%-5%, the cost of attacker's CPU increases by near 90%, which greatly raises the attack difficulty for attackers.

Isolation and Identification of Antagonistic Bacteria for Biological Control of Ginger Rhizome Rot Caused by Pythium zingiberum

  • Sixteen isolates showing relatively strong antagonicity against the ginger rhizome rot pathogen, Pythium zingiberum, were selected among the 155 isolates from ginger rhizome surfaces and rhizospheres of ginger cultivation fields in Wanju, Chonbuk. The isolate, 'HB 26-5'showing the strongest antagonicity was finally selected by testing duration of inhibition effect and pathogenicity to ginger. The isolated antagonistic microorganism, 'HB 26-5' was rod shape, gram positive and formed endospore. The isolate produced acids utilizing glucose, arabinose, xylose and mannitol, and acetoin at VP test, and grew anaerobically. Temperature range for growth was from 10 to 4$0^{\circ}C$ . Reaction to catalase and gelatin, hydrolysis were positive, and casein hydrolysis and indol production were negative. Based on the mycological characters and the fatty acid composition, it was identified as Bacillus polymyxa. The pathogenicity test of isolated Bacillus polymyxa 'HB 26-5'on 22 crop cultivars resulted that only the lettuce was influenced in germination, and the others were not affected.

Pseudomonas sp. 의 균주개발에 유용한 클로닝 백터 pKU11 의 조립

  • 난분해계 물질을 분해할 수 있는 균주 개발에 유용한 클로닝백터를 개발하기 위하여, Pseudomonas putida 로부터 유래한 R 플라스미드 pKU10 을 HindIII 로부터 부분소화하여 약 8.5 kb 의 새로운 플라스미드 pKU11 을 조립하고, 여러 숙주세포에서의 안정성 및 catechol 2, 3-dioxygenase 유전자의 클로닝 을 통해 난분해계 유전자클로닝 백터로의 유용성을 조사하였다. pKU11 은 높은 농도의 ampicilin 과 tetracyclin 에 대해서 내성을 나타내었고, P. putida TN1307 에 도입되었을 때 수세대 동안 안정되게 발현되었지만, Pseudomonas 이외의 숙주세포로서 E. coli 와 Achromobacter gr. D. V. 에 도입되었을 낮은 형질전환빈도와 불안정성을 나타내었다. pKU11 의 copy 수는 8 개로 조사되었고, pKU11 에 xylene 분해에 관련된 catechol 2, 3-dioxygenase 유전자를 클로닝 하였을 때 P. putida TN 1307 에서 잘 발현하였다. 따라서 pkU11 은 난 분해계 유전자를 클로닝하는에 Pseudomonas 에서 유용한 벡터로서 쓰일 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • Justicia kampotiana Benoist (쥐꼬리망초과)를 베트남 미기록종으로 보고한다. 본 종은 유사종인 J. ingrata Benoist와 달리 외화관에 털이있으며, 화통은 판연 보다 약간 길고 화병보다는 아주 짧다. 종 동정을 위한 기재, 그림도해 및 컬러사진과 함께 본 종과 유사종의 비교를 위한 검색형질들을 제시하였다.

충북지역 야생 한국고라니의 내부기생충 감염률 조사 (A survey on gastrointestinal parasites of Korean water deer (Hydropotes inermis agyropus) in Chungbuk province)

  • Wildlife has been recognized that has important role as reservoir hosts of disease affecting both people and livestocks. However, information intestinal helminths of Korean water deer were limited. We obtained 20 feces from Korean water deers that were transferred to veterinary hospital in Chungbuk National University from May 2010 to June 2011. Parasite ova were collected using saturated zinc sulfate floatation method. Parasite eggs were examined and measured using light microscope. The identification of parasitic eggs was done by morphological characters. The overall infection rate of parasite was 85% (n=17). The eggs were observed as being Nematodirus spp. (n=14), strongyles egg (n=11), Capillaria spp. (n=9), Trichuris spp. (n=7), Eimeria spp. (n=4), Ogmocotyle spp. (n=3), and Strongyloides (n=1). Mixed infection rate was observed as being single 15% (n=3), double 20% (n=3), triple 15% (n=3), quadruple 30% (n=6), and quintuple 5% (n=1). The Ogmocotyle spp. was first reported in Korea.
