Implementation of Automatic Gateway System Using the DSRC (단거리전용무선통신(DSRC)을 이용한 자동게이트시스뎀 구현)

  • CVO(Commercial Vehicle Operations) of Intelligent Transport Systems is the system to manage effciently cargo distribution as providing at real time the information of cargo location and situation through nS and GPS technology. In this paper, we proposed the Gate Automation System of harbors among AVI/AEI. To implement this system, we use the DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication) which adopts an wireless communication between RSE(Road-side Equipment) and OBE(on-Board Equipment) on a vehicle. When constructing the automation gateway system of harbors, the business application ability are reviewed practically and the logistics facilities to be constructed in the near future nay use this paper results according to the international standard and it could help complete integrated logistics system.

  • Radio Frequency (RF) signal fluctuates dynamically in wireless communication environments, where this fluctuation is severe especially in vehicular environments. Automatic Gain Control (AGC) is critical in wireless communications to establish reliable communication links and compensate the received signal fluctuation. In this paper, we introduce a simple and novel AGC scheme which uses both Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) and analog-to digital converter (ADC) signals. Performance enhancement of the proposed AGC scheme is verified with practical measurements including simulations.

  • The car navigation system to be accompanied to the car on-board equipment system or the development of mobile communication technique, the demand in information communication which connects an interior and the car outside is coming to be high, As applications, ETC/VISC/AHS classes get deceived supply are advanced. The research of DSRC radio systems actively, with medium of communication between the automobile and road, is advanced. DSRC radio systems are appropriate in massive data transfer, in the case which the traffic accident evasion is urgent, the notarization of the preferential control function which is necessary to a medium of communication, guarantee and security are suitable in the high-speed network. Accompanied to the cellular phone which is to be supplied recently suddenly, By complementing and coexisting each other, and it will be developed simultaneously. However, in a connection of this kind of communication system and high-speed DSRC radio system, Hand-over technique (network, radio transmission hand-over), there is a technical subject of the high-speed transmission techniques against the mobile devices and the realization is expected to be difficult in near, until 2010 year is becoming the plan of putting to practical use. Also as the next generation DSRC with 5.8GHz built-on board equipment and the road-side equipment are expected in near. In this paper DSRC systems which will be developed are discussed.

  • This study concerns implementation of the roadstud traffic-signal system with RF wireless telecommunication. It is used for improving the problem and limit of the roadstud that currently being used simply for leading deceleration of vehicles and indicating center line of roads. With the use of wireless roadstud traffic signal system, not only it is possible to improve the problem and limit of the currently being used roadstud but also it is possible to reduce installing and repairing fee of it.

  • In this paper, we propose a user authentication technology to protect wiretapping and attacking from others in the telematics environment, which users in vehicle can use internet service in local area network via mobile device. In the proposed user authentication technology, the packet speech data is encrypted by speech-based biometric key, which is generated from the user's speech signal. Thereafter, the encrypted data packet is submitted to the information communication server(ICS). At the ICS, the speech feature of the user is reconstructed from the encrypted data packet and is compared with the preregistered speech-based biometric key for user authentication. Based on implementation of our proposed communication method, we confirm that our proposed method is secure from various attack methods.

  • Reliable wireless transmission of data generated by the flight critical subsystems or mission equipments of the unmanned aerial system is critical for mission success. As the UAS system becomes more sophisticated, its dependency on a reliable high rate radio communication system also increases. This requirement is applied not only during the operation phase but also in the early development test phase. This paper introduces a practical cost-effective communication system for a UAS. The downlink module combines analog NTSC video signal with onboard data, and send them using 2.4 GHz carrier wave. The uplink system has less a severe requirement on the bandwidth, and thus uses 430 MHz signal. This paper also presents a sample packet structure which can be adopted for many UAS of similar class.

  • In communication systems, there are various types of microstrip antenna that can be used for many applications. This paper mainly focuses on the simple design of inset fed rectangular microstrip patch antenna to operate at frequency of 2.45 GHz for wireless communication. The study involves using HFSS simulator to design the antenna dimensions and to determine its performance. This antenna is based on a thickness of 1.6mm Teflon substrate with a dielectric constant of approximately 2.2, on one side of the substrate and another side has a ground plane. After simulation, the antenna performance characteristics such as return loss, VSWR, gain, radiation pattern are obtained.

  • In this paper, we have proposed WiBro receiver structure employing joint adaptive antenna scheme at the base station (BS) and the mobile station (MS) and evaluated its performance. In WiBro system, the joint use of transmit beamforming at BS and receive beamforming at MS can improve the SINR significantly and increase the capacity compared to the conventional system. Moreover, power allocation level can be decreased because channel variation can be reduced by using the jointly updated weight. However, it needsthe calculation of the antenna weights in every subcarrier for performance improvement. This could imply an enormous computational burden. However, the computational complexity can be reduced significantly by using the same set of the antenna weights for the adjacent subcarriers instead of calculating antenna weights for every subcarrier. We have analyzed the impact of subcarrier grouping for weight calculation on the system performance.

  • Recently, the production process system is largely composed automatic system using the wired network. The production process system using wired network has disadvantages that take place expense when the installed and inspected production of equipment was replaced. The each equipment happens to repair cost for control and management in production processes. In this paper, the industrial equipment that applied for IEEE 802.15.4(ZigBee) technology solves a complicated space at the plant. And then when the industrial equipments replace wired network with wireless network, this paper studied its user interface.

  • In this paper, we propose a new type of integrated wireless control system using a cloud-based AP Controller. With this system, network administrator can control wireless network in head office and branch hierarchically. In head office, they have an AP Controller Manager, it can control all Access Points, Access point Controllers in their networks. In addition, if we need to install new Access point Controller because of the increasing number of Access Point, the process of making virtual Access point Controller can be automated. This paper presents an architecture of the integrated wireless control system, as well as describes its components and protocols.
