브롬화 알킬화합물 LB막의 전기화학적 특성 (Electrochemical Properties of Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) Film of Alkyl Bromides)

  • We carried out this experiment to observe an electrochemical properties for LB films of alkyl compounds by the cyclic voltammetry. Alkyl bromides was deposited by using the Langmuir- Blodgett method on the ITO glass. We measured to an electrochemical measurement by using cyclic voltammetry with a three-electrode system(an Ag/AgCl reference electrode, a platinum wire counter electrode and LB film-coated ITO working electrode) in 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 N $NaClO_4$ solution. A measuring range was reduced from initial potential to -1350 mV, continuously oxidized to 1650 mV. The scan rate were 100 mV/s. As a result, an electrochemical properties of the LB films of alkyl bromides appeared irreversible process caused by only the oxidation current from the cyclic voltammogram. The diffusivity(D) effect of LB films decreased with increasing of alkyl compounds amount.

  • We investigated the electrochemical properties for Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films of functionalized polyimide. LB films of polyimide monolayer were deposited by the Langmuir-Blodgett method on the indium tin oxide(ITO) glass. The electrochemical properties measured by cyclic voltammetry with a three-electrode system(an Ag/AgCl reference electrode, a platinum wire counter electrode and LB film-coated ITO working electrode) at various concentrations(0.5, 1.0, and 1.5 N) of $NaClO_4$ solution. The current of reduction and oxidation range was measured from 1650 mV to -1350 mV, continuously. The scan rates were 50, 100 and 150 mV/s, respectively. As a result, monolayer and multilayer LB films of polyimide are appeared on irreversible process caused by the oxidation current from the cyclic voltammogram.

  • We carried out this experiment to observe electrochemical properties for LB films of phospholipid(Dilauroyl-L-${\alpha}$-Phosphayidylcholine) and 4-octyl-4'-(5-carboxypentamethylene-oxy)azobenzene mixture by the cyclic voltammetry. LB films of 8A5H and 8A5H-DLPC(1:1, 2:1) were deposited by using the Langmuir-Blodgett method on the ITO glass. We determined electrochemical measurement by using cyclic voltammetry with a three-electrode system, An Ag/AgCl reference elect rode, a platinum wire counter electrode and LB film-coated ITO working electrode measured in 0.1, 0.5, and 1.0 mol/L $NaClO_{4}$ solution.   • We carried out this subject to observe electrochemical properties of 1,2-dioleoyl-sn- glycero-3-phosphocholine(DOPC) mixed with fatty acid containing azobenzene group by using cyclic voltammetry with a three-electrode system, An Ag/AgCl reference electrode, a platinum wire counter electrode and LB film-coated ITO working electrode in $NaClO_4$ solution. We investigated the photoisomerization and electrochemical property of the organic ultra thin film of fatty acid containing azobenzene was prepared on the hydrophilic ITO(idium tin oxide) glass plate by LB method. As a result, the absorption spectra of BASH and DOPC of mixture LB films was induced to photoisomerization by alternating irradiation of ultraviolet and visible light. A measuring range was reduced from initial potential to -1350mV, continuously oxidized to 1650 mV and measured to the initial point. The scan rate were 50, 100, 150 and 200 mV/s. As a results, LB films of BASH-DMPC appeared reversible process caused by the reduction-oxidation current from the cyclic voltammogram.

The alkyl bromides mixture was deposited by using the Langmuir-Blodgett method on the ITO glass. The electrochemical properties measured by using cyclic voltammetry with a three-electrode system(an Ag/AgCl reference electrode, a platinum wire counter electrode and LB film-coated ITO working electrode) at various concentrations(0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 N) of $NaClO_4$ solution. A measuring range was reduced from initial potential to -1350 m V, continuously oxidized to 1650 mV. The scan rate was 100 mV/s. As a result, LB films of Cl4, Cl6, and Cl8 mixture monolayers appeared irreversible process caused by only the oxidation current from the cyclic voltammogram. The diffusivity(D) effect of LB films decreased with increasing of alkyl bromides amount.

유기초박막의 산화-환원 반응에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Oxidation-reduction Reaction of Organic Thin Films)

  • We investigated the electrochemical properties for Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films mixed with 4-octyl-4'-(5-carboxylpentamethyleneoxy)azobenzene (denoted as 8A5H) and phospholipid(L-a-dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine, denoted as DMPC and L-a-dilauroylphosphayidylcholine, denoted as DLPC). The LB films of 8A5H, 8A5H-DMPC and 8A5H-DLPC mixture monolayers were deposited by using the LB method on the indium tin oxide(ITO) glass. The electrochemical properties measured by using cyclic voltammetry with a three-electrode system, an Ag/AgCl reference electrode, a platinum wire counter electrode and LB film-coated ITO working electrode at various concentrations(0.1, 0.5, and 1.0 mol/L) of $NaClO_4$ solution. A measuring range was reduced from initial potential to -1350 mV, continuously oxidized to 1650 mV and measured to the initial point. The scan rates were 50, 100, 150 and 200 mV/s, respectively. As a result, LB films of 8A5H and 8A5H-DLPC mixture monolayers appeared irreversible process caused by only the oxidation current from the cyclic voltammogram and LB films of 8A5H-DMPC monolayer mixture was found to be caused by a reversible oxidation-reduction process.

  • ITO 코팅 글라스를 기판으로 사용하고 폴리(페닐렌에테르설폰)(PES)을 감습막으로 하여 정전용량형 습도센서를 제작하였다. 감습막은 PES를 m-cresol에 용해한 후 스핀코팅으로 제조하였고 그 상부에 다공성 Au막을 스퍼터링으로 증착하였다. 상대습도 $20\sim90%$의 범위에서 센서의 용량은 감습막두께에 반비례하였고 1% 미만의 비선형 특성을 나타내었다. 또한 $1.4{\mu}m$ 두께의 샘플에서는 20 kHz에서 1.3%의 히스테리시스와 1.14의 우수한 감도를 얻을 수 있었다.

Synthesis and Characterization of Thiophene-Based Copolymers Containing Urethane and Alkyl Functional Side Chains for Hybrid Bulk Heterojunction Photovoltaic Cell Applications

  • The following noble series of statistical copolymers, poly[(2-(3-thienyl)ethanol n-butoxycarbonylmethylurethane)-co-3-hexylthiophene] (PURET-co-P3HT), were synthesized by the chemical dehydrogenation method using anhydrous $FeCl_3$. The structure and electro-optical properties of these copolymers were characterized using $^1H$-NMR, UV-visible spectroscopy, elemental analysis, GPC, DSC, TGA, photoluminescence (PL), and cyclic voltammetry (CV). The statistical copolymers, PURET-co-P3HT (1:0, 2:1, 1:1, 1:2, 1:3), were soluble in common organic solvents and easily spin coated onto indium-tin oxide (ITO) coated glass substrates. Hybrid bulk heterojunction photovoltaic cells with an ITO/G-PEDOT/PURET-co-P3HT:PCBM:Ag nanowires/$TiO_x$/Al configuration were fabricated, and the photovoltaic cells using PURET-co-P3HT (1:2) showed the best photovoltaic performance compared with those using PURET-co-P3HT (1:0, 2:1, 1:1, 1:3). The optimal hybrid bulk heterojunction photovoltaic cell exhibits a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 1.58% ($V_{oc}$ = 0.82 V, $J_{sc}$ = 5.58, FF = 0.35) with PURET-co-P3HT (1:2) measured by using an AM 1.5 G irradiation (100 mW/$cm^2$) on an Oriel Xenon solar simulator (Oriel 300 W).

지방산과 인지질 혼합 LB막의 전기화학적 특성 (The Electrochemical Characterization of Mixture LB Films of Fatty Acid and Phospholipids)

  • We studied electrochemical characteristics of Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) films by using cyclic voltammetry with a three-electrode system. An Ag/AgCl as a reference electrode, a platinum wire as a counter electrode and LB film-coated indium tin oxide(ITO) as a working electrode were used to study electrochemical characteristics at a various concentration of $NaClO_4$ solution. LB films were reduced from initial potential to -1350 mV, continuously oxidized to l650mV and returned to the initial point. The scan rate was l00mV/s. The monolayer surface morphology of the LB film have been measured by Atomic Force Microscope(AFM). As a result, We comfirmed that the microscopic properties of LB film by AFM showed the good orientation of momolayer molecules and the thickness of monolayer was 3.5-4.lnm. The cyclic voltammograms(CV) of the ITO-coated glass showed the peak potentials for the reduction-oxidation reation. LB films of 4-octyl-4'-(5-carboxypentamethyleneoxy) azobenzene(8A5H) / L-${\alpha}$-phosphayidyl choline, dilauroyl(DLPC) seemed to be irreversible process caused by only the oxidation current from the cyclic voltammogram. The current of oxidatation increased at cyclic voltammogram by increasing 8A5H density in LB films. The diffusivity(D) of LB films increased with increasing of a 8A5H amount and was inversely proportional to the concentration of $NaClO_4$ solution.

A Brief Investigation on the Performance Variation and Shelf Lifetime in Polymer:Nonfullerene Solar Cells

  • Polymer:nonfullerene solar cells with an inverted-type device structure were fabricated by employing the bulk heterojunction (BHJ) active layers, which are composed of poly[(2,6-(4,8-bis(5-(2-ethylhexyl)thiophene-2-yl)-benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b']dithiophene))-alt-(5,5-(1',3'-di-2-thienyl-5',7-bis(2-ethylhexyl)benzo[1',2'-c:4',5'-c']dithiophene-4,8-dione))] (PBDB-T) and 3,9-bis(6-methyl-2-methylene-(3-(1,1-dicyanomethylene)-indanone))-5,5,11,11-tetrakis(4-hexylphenyl)-dithieno[2,3-d:2',3-d']-s-indaceno[1,2-b:5,6-b']dithiophene (IT-M). The BHJ layers were formed on a pre-patterned indium-tin oxide (ITO)-coated glass substrate by spin-coating using the blend solutions of PBDB-T and IT-M. The solar cell performances were investigated with respect to the cell position on the ITO-glass substrates. In addition, the short-term shelf lifetime of solar cells was tested by storing the PBDB-T:IT-M solar cells in a glovebox filled with inert gas. The results showed that the performance of solar cells was relatively higher for the cells close to the center of substrates, which was maintained even after storage for 24 h. In particular, the PCE of PBDB-T:IT-M solar cells was marginally decreased after storage for 24 h owing to the slightly reduced fill factor, even though the open circuit voltage was unchanged after 24 h.
