한국 자동차의 대중국 수출경쟁력에 관한 연구 - RCA, CAC, ESI 지수 비교를 중심으로 (An Empirical Study on the Export Competitiveness of Korean Automobiles in the Local Chinese Market)

  • 본고에서는 RCA지수, CAC지수, ESI를 이용하여 지난 2000년 이래 7년간 세계자동차시장 점유율 상위 6개국을 대상으로 중국시장에서의 자동차 수출경쟁력을 비교 분석하였다. RCA지수를 분석한 결과, 한국자동차의 국제시장에서의 경쟁력은 일본, 독일에 이어 높은 것으로 나타났으나 중국자동차시장에서는 수출경합국 중 최하위의 국제경쟁력을 가진 것으로 조사되었다. 국제시장에서 한국자동차의 RCA지수가 7년 평균 1.867인데 비해 중국시장에서의 CAC지수는 1.053에 불과하였다. 그러나 한국자동차는 프랑스시장에서 CAC지수 3.338, 미국시장에서 2.454, 독일시장에서 2.143, 일본시장에서 0.067을 기록함으로써, 프랑스, 미국, 독일시장에서 선전하고 있는 반면, 일본시장과 중국시장에서의 국제경쟁력은 매우 취약한 상태임을 확인할 수 있었다. 한편 세계자동차시장에서 한국자동차와 수출경합도가 가장 높은 국가는 독일과 일본으로 관측되었고, 중국시장의 경우 한국-독일, 한국-일본 수출경합도가 세계시장의 ESI보다는 미약하게 형성되어 있었다. 따라서 우리는 세계 및 중국자동차시장의 동향과 중국당국의 정책변화를 면밀하게 모니터링하고 업계와 정부간의 신속하고 유기적인 공조체제를 구축함으로써 중국시장의 경쟁체제 변화에 능동적으로 대응하는 전략을 강구해야 할 것으로 보인다.

규제와 국가경쟁력간의 인과관계 (Examining causal relationships between regulation and national competitiveness using system dynamics method)

  • 우리나라는 OECD 회원국 가운데에서도 정부규제의 수준이 가장 높은 나라들 중의 하나로 인식되고 있다. 정부규제가 강할수록 민간부문의 경제 및 각종 사회활동들이 위축되고 이러한 현상은 국가 경쟁력을 약화시키는 요인으로 인식되고 있다. 정부규제는 여러 가지 형태로 수행될 수 있는 바, 이러한 정부규제는 정부경쟁력에 영향을 미치고 정부경쟁력은 국가경쟁력에 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 정부규제와 국가경쟁력 간에 작용하는 많은 요소들을 인과관계론적으로 검토하고, 이를 시스템사고 관점에서 인과지도를 작성한다. 이를 통하여 정부규제와 국가경쟁력 간에 작용하는 피이드 백 루프를 탐색하고 향후 정부규제와 국가경쟁력이 균형을 이루면서 선 순환적으로 강화될 수 있는 정책적 제안을 하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 연구결과 강화루프 (Reinforcing Loop) 2개와 균형루프(Balancing Loop) 4개가 각각 발견되었다. 이러한 루프들은 규제와 국가경쟁력간의 관계에서 실질적으로 중요한 역할을 하는 관계라는 점이며, 정책결정자 입장에서는 이러한 루프들을 잘 활용하여 양자간의 관계를 균형있게 발전시킬 수 있도록 노력할 필요가 있다는 점을 시사해 준다.

컨테이너, 양회, 철강을 중심으로 한 철도의 화물수송경쟁력 분석 (The Analysis on Competitiveness of Railroad Transport Focused on Container, Cement, Steel)

  • 우리나라 도로화물수송 분담률(영업용, 톤 기준)은 꾸준히 증가 하고 있는 반면, 철도화물수송 분담률(영업용, 톤 기준)은 1990년 17.2%에서 2006년 6.3%로 감소하는 추세를 보이고 있다. 본 연구는 철도화물수송경쟁력 강화 방안을 모색하기 위한 전단계로써 도로화물수송에 대한 철도화물수송의 경쟁력을 평가하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 SP조사결과 화물 수단선택 시 중요도가 높은 수송시간, 수송비용, 서비스수준을 주요변수로 선정하여 품목별(컨테이너, 양회, 철강) 철도화물수송경쟁력지표를 개발하였다. 또한, 철도차물수송경쟁력지표를 통해 컨테이너, 양회, 철강에 대한 주요변수별 철도화물수송경쟁력을 분석하였다. 분석결과를 살펴보면, 대체로 도로에 대한 철포의 화물수송경쟁력은 화물발생기종점에서 조차 현저하게 낮게 나타났다. 이는 도로중심의 화물수송체계를 반영하는 결과이다. 이와 관련하여 향후 2단계 경부고속철도, 호남고속철도가 개통되고 기존 철도시설을 개량할 경우 도로대비 철도의 화물수송경쟁력이 어떻게 변화할 것인지에 대해 추가적으로 분석하여 철도화물수송경쟁력 제고방안과 연계하여 재분석할 필요가 있다.

  • 다양한 요구사항을 최신의 IT서비스로 제공하기 위해서는 끊임없는 기술 개발과 비즈니스의 이해가 필수적이지만, IT서비스 업계의 한정된 인력과 수행력으로 충족시키기에는 현실적으로 불가능하다. 따라서 IT서비스 업계에서는 다양한 산업군의 사업을 객관적인 방법으로 평가하여 사업의 우선순위 도출을 통해 집중해야 할 사업선택 전략이 필수적으로 요구된다. 본 연구는 다양하고 불확실한 사업을 객관화되고 산업별 특화된 기준으로 평가할 수 있는 프레임워크 개발을 목적으로 한다. 구조화된 평가요인은 가중치와 평가 가이드 라인을 제공함으로써 정량적, 정성적 평가를 통해 IT서비스 사업의 경쟁력지수(CI:Competitiveness Index)를 도출할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 개발된 평가요인과 프레임워크는 실무에 적용되어 이해관계자간의 갈등 조정 및 의사결정자의 종합적 판단을 지원할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • In the past few decades, the measuring instrument industries have made rapid progress with increase on the demand in industries such as precision instrument, chemistry, electronics, industrial measurement and automobile. Thus, development strategy and technical advancement are required for both securing the competitiveness on products in the world market and industrial development. Intensifying competitiveness of measuring instrument is needed in the world market. It can be achieved by development of measuring instrument holding comparative priority. A development strategy should be drawn up in the long-term point of view for coping with the increasing demand of measuring instrument and securing competitiveness in the world market.

A Study on the Classification of Chinese Major Ports based on Competitiveness Level

  • Since the beginning of open-door policy, China has been making rapid annual growth with an average 10% economic development. And due to this rapid growth, cargo volumes via ports have been also rapidly increased, and accordingly, current China government has intensively invested in port development. Further, this development project is significantly big scale, compared with those project which Korea and Japan have. Thus, China is beginning to threaten Korean ports, especially Busan port which try to be a hub port in Northeast Asia. For this reason, it has been very important issue for Korea and Busan port to investigate or analyze Chinese ports based on empirical data. Especially, although various studies related to Shanghai and Hong Kong have been conducted, the competitiveness of overall Chinese major ports has been little studied. In this paper, we analyzed competitiveness level of eight Chinese ports with capabilities as container terminal, based on reliable sources. From data analysis, eight Chinese ports were classified into four groups according to competitiveness level. Rankings among four clusters based on competitiveness level are cluster(Hone Kong), cluster C(Shanghai), cluster A(Qingdao, Tianjin, and Yantian) and cluster D(Dalian, Shekou, and Xiamen).

중국 인삼 산업의 국제 경쟁력 분석 (Analysis of International Competitiveness of Chinese ginseng in Comparison with Korean ginseng)

  • In this thesis we aim at analyzing international competitive power of Chinese ginseng in comparison with Korean ginseng and searching policy direction for Korea to compete Chinese ginseng industry. We summarized the research results as follows; First, we examine the structural change of ginseng industry of China. Second, we review the theories for international competitiveness and apply the method of analyzing competitiveness to ginseng industry. Third, we compared the international competitive power of the ginseng industry between China and Korea and found that Chinese ginseng, estimated by Revealed Comparative Advantage(RCA) at about 15, still remains high competitiveness in terms of cost and price but lowering price competitiveness recently. Based on the research results, we suggest export promotion strategies of the Korean ginseng as follows; 1) Korean government should enforce trade cooperation with China so as to register Korean root ginseng an importable medicine. 2) Korean ginseng producer should develop various products such as capsules, powders and etc. according to China's consumer purchasing power and taste. 3) Korean ginseng should be sold as an differentiated commodity so that it will contribute to building consumer loyalty to Korean ginseng, makes market share superior to other cheaper ginseng products in China. 4) In order to be effective brand marketing and product advertisement, there should be established reliable networks to process and distribute Korean ginseng products exclusively.

Study on the Competitiveness Evaluation of Urban Cultural Tourism Creative Industry in Pan-Yangtze River Delta

  • Purpose - In order to improve the comprehensive competitiveness of cultural tourism creative industries in the region, different grade cities should adapt to local conditions and differentiated development as the angle. It can promote the optimization of regional tourism industry structure, and make relevant suggestions accordingly. Research design, data, and methodology - Based on the characteristics of cultural tourism creative industry, 24 indicators are selected from four aspects. The comprehensive competitiveness evaluation index system of cultural tourism creative industry is constructed. The essay use factor analysis to quantitatively evaluate 27 cities in the Pan-Yangtze River Delta, and use cluster analysis to classify the competitiveness of cultural tourism creative industries in each city into five types. Results - The results of cluster analysis show that the whole area presents five kinds of step-like features, which are mature leading type, the advantageous development type, comparatively advantageous type, well-grounded type and difference-promotion type. Conclusions - The factor analysis method was used to quantitatively evaluate 27 cities in the Pan-Yangtze River Delta, and cluster analysis was used to classify the cultural tourism creative industry competitiveness of each city into fives type city. Based on the differentiation of cultural tourism creative industry competitiveness and 27 cities in the Pan-Yangtze River Delta, the relevant strategies were proposed.

Research on the Evaluation and Promotion Plan of Competitiveness of Chinese Cultural and Creative Industries - Taking Provinces and Cities Along the "Belt and Road" As an Example

  • With the rapid growth of high-tech, the development of cultural and creative industries has gradually become the focus of national industrial development. With the proposal of China's "Belt and Road" strategy, the role of cultural and creative industries in the provinces and cities along the "Belt and Road" in the entire international trade is becoming increasingly critical. It is necessary to explore solutions to improve the competitiveness of China's cultural and creative industries, factoring the surrounding cities of the "Belt and Road" as an example. Thus, this paper proposes the six-element diamond model based on innovation capability and government support to render a comprehensive evaluation of the competitiveness of the cultural and creative industries in the 31 provinces and cities across the country. The results show that the overall competitiveness of the 18 provinces and cities along the "Belt and Road" cultural and creative industries is weak. Focusing on the 18 provinces and cities along the "Belt and Road", using the linear regression measurement model quantitative analysis, the four types of influencing factors affecting the development of the competitiveness of cultural and creative industries along the "Belt and Road" were obtained. Finally, according to the four types of influence, the competitiveness improvement plan is proposed from the four aspects: government role, consumption preference, industrial innovation ability, and the introduction of high-quality talent.

Competitiveness of Tourism Destinations: An Extended Criteria of Resource-Based View

  • This research aims to increase the tourism destination competitiveness for the city of Malang. This research uses the extended criteria of Resource-based View (RBV): VRIOLU (Valuable, Rare, Inimitable, Organization, Large Market, Unmet Need) to analyze tourism destination competitiveness for the city of Malang. A qualitative approach with a case study research design is adopted in this research. Data was collected using data triangulation, such as an in-depth interview with the informants, direct observation in the form of field notes, and picture documentation. The data was analyzed manually by the researchers using thematic analysis. In this research, VRIOLU, the extended criteria of RBV is proven that it can be used as a tool to analyze tourism destination competitiveness by giving the researchers a framework to get the answers from the informants to achieve the research aim. Suggestions to improve the tourism destination competitiveness for the city of Malang include: (1) Actively promoting the added value that can be given by the city of Malang to the visitors; (2) Forming a tourism board to manage the city of Malang as a tourism destination in a holistic manner; (3) Creating synergistic promotion between the stakeholders of tourism operator and governments.
