By personally visiting a location, we have a much more complete and accurate feel and understanding of the interior design, then we can receive from pictures or descriptions. Because of this, in researching the history of interior design, it is impossible to experience the space in the design by not viewing it in persov. Instead, we must experience it indrectly through the use of descriptive language. Therefore it is important to deliver our meaning of the space in the interior design through clear and specific modern language rather than using classic language, which could be more confusing. In this study, the 7 most basic items of invariability among Bruno Zevi's modern language has been applied to describe the space in Wright's historical Prairie House. Thereupon, Wright's interior design concept and essential point is grasped through the analyzing of his space with modern language. Bruno Zevi's 7 items of invariability are suggested as an alternative which can deliver a clear and scientific meaning of interior desigv.

The researches on modern fashion design have more specific and multifactorial, and expressional approaches of designers become more deeverse too. And, at the present point time when the design itself extends actively throughout the world, there should be may studies that focus on the development of CAD system. This study research that computer adied design used in developing various design and variety training. Development of fashion design by using computers could contribute to the rapid composition of deverse researches on it. It is to be classified into three items, diagram, illustration, transformation in computer adied fashion design. The illustration could be color variation by using CAD system, and express correct form, adjustment, complement. It must be development as an expression of propaganda, having a artistic value of ganre. At the present point of time when the fashion design itself it needed development, there should be may studies that focus on development of fashion design by using computer. This study present diagram for practical side, and illustration for decorative side by using CAD system.

It is essential to know climatic characteristics of the site for energy efficient building design. However, it is difficult to obtain a climate data. Even though the climate data is obtained, it is difficult to be applied to the building design since it is usually consisted of just series of numbers. Also, designers cannot know the effective climatic design strategies suitable for the site with ease. Thus, this study aims to develope the climatic design tool working on the personal computer operated by windows 95/98/2000/XP. WYEC weather data and building bioclimatic chart are adopted for the climate analysis. Climatic Characteristics(distributions of the dominant factors, bioclimatic needs, needs to each passive design strategy, and the order of priority, etc.) of Seoul are analysed and presented as an example. Also, passive climatic design process making use of this tool is presented.

The Process of Inner Product has been widely used in a DSP. But it is difficult to implement by a dedicated hardware because it needs many computation steps for multiplication and addition. To reduce these steps, it is essential to design efficient hardware architecture. This paper proposes the design method of adder-based distributed arithmetic for implementation of DCT module and the automatic design of summation-network which is a core block in the proposed design method. Finally, it shows that the proposed design method is more efficient than a ROM-based distributed arithmetic which is the typical design method.

This paper focuses on development of a fashion design education course that will foster the talent and aesthetic consciousness of fashion design student. The writer reached the content of the designing ideas to practical applications as the defined scope of fashion design education. For designing idea in practical application : matching ideas, contrasting ideas, formative combinations and revisionism were used. For design ideas, the ideas developed by 飯塚弘子, 万江入重子, 香川達子 were used in revision. To detail the content of design education, fashion magazines, portfolios, photographs and related fashion design educational materials were used. 1. Matching ideas : it proposes such identical expression into costume by making a research of developing material, application form and color extraction from design sources. 2. Contrasting ideas : it proposes such opposite expression into costume by making a research of opposite to image, form, position and purpose from some object. 3. Formative combinations : it proposes such new expression into costume by combining a detail of costume with the other object. 4. Revisionism : it proposes such modified expression into costume by making a research of deletion, change, addition and conversion in costume.

Beauty of balance, can be found in antique furniture of the Joseon Dynasty. Balance, give comfort and peace of mind to people. Even today, the balance in various fields, it is easily viewed, and an important one element indispensable in the design. Various lighting is an essential element of the interior to create an atmosphere of space. It is also useful in a variety of ways for beauty, emotional effect, such as the switching of visual atmosphere. This design was designed with the concept of balanced. In addition, I have applied a simple graphic appearance. To give the fun and tension while giving it a well-balanced when you meet the figure. The design of this study is nothing more than a single direction. It will be in the traveling direction of the future as a designer by using a simple structure and phenomena that appear in life, is given to the design without the feeling of rejection to the user.

It was expressed repeated information on reuse design pattern in the design information because it was impossible to build a standardized design pattern in the existing design pattern tools. Also, It must possible to extend standardized design pattern just as one intended of designer. And It is able to express objects just as one intended of designer. Therefore, the representative characteristic of this paper was able to define XMI metamodel to express design pattern, and was able to extend metamodel to express design pattern.

The prestressed concrete girder bridges have been used widely at the domestic national road as well as highway because it is great in the functional and economical efficiency. Also it has the advantage of convenience of design and construction due to being given standard sections. However it could be easily verified that a standard section of P.S.C girder is excessive design, which has much more redundancy than is necessary against design loads. Thus, in this paper the formulation of the optimum design for PSC girder railway bridge is suggested and dominant design variables and constraints are inquired as performing the optimum design. The objective is adopted as total cost of PSC girder bridge ,and in order to effective optimum design, design variables are formulated as PSC girder section dimension and girder space as well. And constraints are formulated according to Korean railway design specification and considering construction-ability such as PS anchorage and girder space. Using the proposed optimum design system, optimum PSC girder bridge design has been performed. And from the results of analysis it is suggested to denote the optimum section which satisfies the structural safety ,and economical efficiency all together.

The purpose of this study is to present the direction for effective public environment design by becoming aware of the social, cultural and historical values that are inherent to the specific regions once again. Concept of regions' sense of identity, regions' resources and regionality were identified as a means based on the basic cityscape plan and guideline for public design. Sample city was analyzed by extracting the regionality elements, and the results are as follows. First, appropriateness of the direction for the public environment design based on the regional identity was confirmed. The need to establish regional identity in the cityscape plan is specified when it comes to the basic goal, strategy and direction. Second, public environment design should be planned within the context of the cityscape. It is necessary to improve with integrated plan by setting up the consistent goal, direction and detailed guideline based on the basic concept of cityscape plan. Third, 'design city' requires the development of the unique design and planned techniques based on the harmony with the existing resources. It is necessary to uncover the powerful design elements that are exclusive to specific regions, and to search for differentiation and visualization to form consensus. Public environment based on regional identity will improve if the above mentioned research results are used as the basic data when it comes to the implementation of public environment design.
