수문기상 데이터 세트를 이용한 KLDAS(Korea Land Data Assimilation System)의 토양수분·증발산량 산출 (Calculation of Soil Moisture and Evapotranspiration for KLDAS(Korea Land Data Assimilation System) using Hydrometeorological Data Set)

  • 본 연구에서는 LIS(Land Information System)를 기반으로 구축된 K-LIS(Korea-Land surface Information System)의 KLDAS(Korea Land Data Assimilation System)를 사용하여 남한 전역을 대상으로 토양수분 및 증발산량을 산출하였다. K-LIS를 구동하고, KLDAS를 구축하기 위해 사용된 수문기상 데이터 세트는 MERRA-2(Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications, version 2), GDAS(Global Data Assimilation System) 그리고 종관기상관측(ASOS, Automated Synoptic Observing System) 자료이다. ASOS는 지점 자료이므로 KLDAS에 적용하기 위해 0.125°의 공간해상도를 가진 격자형 자료로 변환하였다(ASOS-S, ASOS-Spatial). KLDAS에 적용된 수문기상 데이터 세트를 지상관측자료(ASOS)와 비교한 결과 ASOS-S, MERRA-2, GDAS의 R2 평균은 각각 온도(0.994, 0.967, 0.975), 기압(0.995, 0.940, 0.942), 습도(0.993, 0.895, 0.915), 강우량(0.897, 0.682, 0.695)으로 분석되었다. 또한, 토양수분의 R2 평균은 ASOS-S(0.493), MERRA-2(0.56), GDAS(0.488)이며, 증발산량의 R2 평균은 ASOS-S(0.473), MERRA-2(0.43), GDAS(0.615)로 분석되었다. MERRA-2, GDAS는 다수의 위성 및 지상관측자료를 활용하여 품질관리된 데이터 세트인 반면, ASOS-S는 103개 지점의 관측자료를 사용한 격자 자료이다. 따라서, 관측자료간 거리 차이로 인한 오차가 발생하여 정확도가 낮아진 것으로 판단되며, 향후 ASOS보다 많은 지점의 관측자료를 확보하여 적용한다면 격자화로 인한 오차가 줄어들어 정확도가 높아질 것으로 판단된다.

EFFECTS OF UREA NITROGEN ON THE METABOLISM OF PLANTS (1) Studies on Nitrogen Absorption and Metabolism in Sunflower Leavessprayed with Urea Solution

  • In order to detect the way of absorption and metaboism of the urea it is sprayed on the surface of the leaves of sunflower. The sunflowers used in this study are grown in different conditions such that the one in nittogen aboundant and the other in nitrogen deficient soil, respectively. The urea-N, ammonia-N, amide-N, and 80% alcohol soluble-N in the leaves were quantitatively determined. All of the nitrogenous components measured are generally tended to increased with rising the concentration of urea except only amide-N at 24 hours after sprayed, and these were highly significances. It seemed that hydrolizing of urea into ammonia and carbon dixide and the assimilation of ammonia into other organic nitrogenous constituents were rapid in the young leaves than in the mature. It is interest that the amide content, in the young leaves and nitrogen defieient one were enhanced with the increasing concentration of urea, although in the mature leaves it did not show any change in the urea treatment. It is presumed that the assimilation rate of ammonia and the urease activity were lower in the matture leaves than in the young and nitrogen deficient leaves. No significance at 5% level showed all of the nitrogenous components except total nitrogen between nitrogen abundant and deficent leaves. Urea content was a high peak at first 12 hours, ammonia at 48 hours, and amide and alcohol soluble nitrogen at 96 hours, whence decrease4d the content of these constituents gradually. The total nitrogen content is not incrased obviously by only one time of urea spray in this study. When the concentration of urea was relatively high there appeared the wilting spots on t도 edge of leaves. As a whole, it seemed that sprayed urea was rapidly absorbed and taken part in nitrogen metabolism within relatively short period.

기상청 전지구 해양순환예측시스템(NEMO/NEMOVAR)과 미해군 해양자료 동화시스템(HYCOM/NCODA)의 해양 일분석장 열적환경 정확도 비교 (A Comparison of Accuracy of the Ocean Thermal Environments Using the Daily Analysis Data of the KMA NEMO/NEMOVAR and the US Navy HYCOM/NCODA)

  • In this study, the accuracy of ocean analysis data, which are produced from the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) Nucleus for European Modelling of the Ocean/Variational Data Assimilation (NEMO/NEMOVAR, hereafter NEMO) system and the HYbrid Coordinate Ocean Model/Navy Coupled Ocean Data Assimilation (HYCOM/NCODA, hereafter HYCOM) system, was evaluated using various oceanic observation data from March 2015 to February 2016. The evaluation was made for oceanic thermal environments in the tropical Pacific, the western North Pacific, and the Korean peninsula. NEMO generally outperformed HYCOM in the three regions. Particularly, in the tropical Pacific, the RMSEs (Root Mean Square Errors) of NEMO for both the sea surface temperature and vertical water temperature profile were about 50% smaller than those of HYCOM. In the western North Pacific, in which the observational data were not used for data assimilation, the RMSE of NEMO profiles up to 1000 m ($0.49^{\circ}C$) was much lower than that of HYCOM ($0.73^{\circ}C$). Around the Korean peninsula, the difference in RMSE between the two models was small (NEMO, $0.61^{\circ}C$; HYCOM, $0.72^{\circ}C$), in which their errors show relatively big in the winter and small in the summer. The differences reported here in the accuracy between NEMO and HYCOM for the thermal environments may be attributed to horizontal and vertical resolutions of the models, vertical coordinate and mixing scheme, data quality control system, data used for data assimilation, and atmosphere forcing. The present results can be used as a basic data to evaluate the accuracy of NEMO, before it becomes the operational model of the KMA providing real-time ocean analysis and prediction data.

엽형 및 $\textrm{CO}_2$ 이용효율에 따른 콩 입중별 이상초형 연구 (Ideal Leaf Type on Leaf Shape and $\textrm{CO}_2$ Use Efficiency of Different Seed Size Cultivar in Soybean)

  • 콩의 입중에 따른 이상초형(ideal type)의 개발을 위해 광합성호율이 높은 안전 다수성 콩 품종육성의 엽형 모델을 찾고자 엽형 및 입중에 따른 잎기능에 관련된 몇 가지 주요특성 및 $\textrm{CO}_2$ 이용효율과의 관계를 조사했는데, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 대두 단엽의 $\textrm{CO}_2$ 동화량은 소립품종에서 장엽형 잎을 가진 품종이 19.66 $\mu\textrm{molm}^{-2}\textrm{s}^{-1}$로서 환엽형 잎을 가진 품종(18.29 $\mu\textrm{molm}^{-2}\textrm{s}^{-1}$)보다 높은 경향이었으며, 대립품종에서는 환엽형 잎을 가진 품종이 19.17 $\mu\textrm{molm}^{-2}\textrm{s}^{-1}$로서 장엽형품종(17.45 $\mu\textrm{molm}^{-2}\textrm{s}^{-1}$)보다 높았다. 2. 기공전도도가 0.12-0.13범위에서는 주로 대립, 장엽형 품종이 분포하고 있었으며 $\textrm{CO}_2$ 동화량은 17-18 $\mu\textrm{molm}^{-2}\textrm{s}^{-1}$정도로 낮았고, 0.14-0.15범위에서는 소립, 장엽형 품종들이 분포하였는데 $\textrm{CO}_2$ 동화량은 19-20 $\mu\textrm{molm}^{-2}\textrm{s}^{-1}$로서 높았다. 3. $\textrm{CO}_2$ 동화량에 영향을 미치는 전자생성량은 대립, 환엽형 잎을 가진 품종들이 0.82-0.83으로 가장 적었으나 $\textrm{CO}_2$ 동화량은 18-20 $\mu\textrm{molm}^{-2}\textrm{s}^{-1}$로서 높았다. 4. 주당 $\textrm{CO}_2$ 흡수량은 나물콩에서는 장엽형 품종이 68.5ppm으로 환엽형(46.5 ppm)보다 크게 높았으며 장류콩에서는 환엽형이 70.1 ppm으로서 장엽형(63.1 ppm) 보다 약간 높았다.

재미한인의 문화변용전략과 미디어 콘텐츠 (Acculturation Strategies and Media Contents)

  • 본 연구는 베리의 문화변용이론을 중심으로 재미한인의 문화변용전략과 미디어 콘텐츠이용에 대해서 살펴보고자 했다. 이를 위해서 미국 포틀랜드에 거주하고 있는 한국인 이민자 및 유학생을 모집단으로 하여, 비 확률표본 표집 방법을 이용하여 표본을 선정하였다. 설문지는 영어와 한국어 두 종류를 준비해 응답자가 선택토록 하였으며, 총 391부의 설문지 중 일률적으로 특정 번호를 표시하거나 결측 값이 지나치게 많거나 응답자 답변이 비일관성을 띤 표본20개를 제외한 총 371부의 설문지를 최종 분석대상으로 했다. 연구결과에 의하면, 재미한인들은 통합전략(M=4.57)과 분리전략(M=4.49)을 주로 사용하며 미국의 주류사회로 동화(M=2.92)되는 경향은 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 분리전략을 취하는 정도가 강화될수록 모국인 한국미디어 콘텐츠 이용을 많이 하는 것으로 밝혀졌으며, 미국사회에 동화하고자 할수록(동화전략을 선호할수록) 미국미디어 콘텐츠를 더 많이 이용하는 것으로 나타났다. 나아가 미디어 콘텐츠의 장르별 이용 차이가 동화와 분리 전략 집단에서 나타나고 있다. 동화전략 구사 정도가 전체 응답자의 평균 2.96보다 높은 응답자들의 경우, 미국 엔터테인먼트 콘텐츠(M=4.64)를 미국 뉴스콘텐츠(M=4.00)보다 많이 이용하는 것으로 분석됐다. 이에 반해, 분리전략 구사 정도가 전체 응답자의 평균 4.49보다 높은 응답자들은 다른 결과를 보여 주고 있다. 미국미디어 콘텐츠의 이용의 경우, 뉴스(M=3.11)보다는 엔터테인먼트(M=4.10)를 더 많이 이용하는 것으로 나타났으며, 이와 반대로 한국미디어 콘텐츠의 경우 엔터테인먼트(M=4.53)보다는 뉴스(M=4.84)를 더 이용하는 것으로 분석됐다.

러시아 제국의 이단아 남서문학 - 오데사 문학에 나타난 유대인, 피카로(picaro), 언어를 중심으로 (Southwestern Literature as Heresy of the Russian Empire)

  • This paper looks at the literary mood of southwestern Russia in the late Russian Empire, while examining the writers of this area and their literary tendencies. Southwestern literature was formed in the late Russian Empire, and prospered centering around Odessa. Because of the uniformity in the Soviet culture, however, it could not stay alive but disappeared in the history of Russian literature. Odessa, the center of southwestern literature was a multiracial region unlike other Russian cities. A unique culture was created, therefore, combining the western European culture and local ethnicity. Jews in Odessa could enter into the Russian society and assimilate naturally. They could utilize their talents as a strength to enrich the Russian culture without giving up their cultural heritage. For example, in lingual aspects, using Yiddish was not against the Russian culture. In addition, it contributed to interesting new coinages and led to efforts among writers to minimize the gap between the two languages. Many Jewish writers showed special interest not only in Yiddish but also in French, German and other languages. Therefore, they took the lead in translating and introducing west classics. As evident in the way Yiddish language was formed, mixing their language with other languages enabled jews to soak their way into other cultures naturally. Their yearning for the Russian and western European cultures, combined with their unique sense of humor, led to generic twists and problematic experiments. From another point of view, it is also unusual that southwestern literature diversified locational settings and heroic characters in literary works. European style heros, appearance of multiracial people, pain or waggery experienced by Jews in their assimilation process, thrilling revenge to unfair violence of Russians, and espiegle swindlers are the new domains that southwestern literature pioneered. In summary, southwestern literature was formed in a heterogeneous cultural climate, which was entirely different from the Russian Empire. In this regard, it was in deviation from the Russian literary tradition. From the Soviet point of view, it existed as a heresy which was against the Russian Empire.

블로그 연결망에서 파급력을 가진 파워 유저의 파악 기법 (Determining Diffusion Power Users in a Blog Network)

  • 블로그 내에는 다수의 사용자들에게 컨텐츠를 파급시키는 영향력 있는 사용자들이 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 사용자들을 파급 파워 유저라고 정의하고, 이러한 사용자들을 파악하는 방법에 대하여 논의한다. 본 논문에서는 블로그 연결망에서 파급 파워 유저를 파악하기 위해서 독립 전파 모델을 이용하는데, 독립 전파 모델의 수행을 위해서는 사용자들 간의 동화확률로서 실질적인 값을 부여하는 것이 필수적이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 사용자의 재생산 파워의 개념과 이를 계량화하는 방법을 제안하고, 사용자의 컨텐츠 파워와 재생산 파워를 이용하여 사용자 간의 동화확률을 부여하는 방안을 제안한다. 끝으로, 실제 블로그 연결망에서 제안하는 기법과 기존의 기법을 이용하여 파워 유저들을 파악하는 실험을 수행하고, 결과를 비교 및 분석한다.

초등학생의 다문화인식의 차이와 관련 변인들간의 관계 (Differences in the Multicultural Perceptions of Elementary School Students and the Relationships between the Related Variables)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate and compare the multicultural perceptions (multicultural acceptability, multicultural sensitivity and judging multicultural children) of elementary school students. The subjects comprised 1,252 students (583 third graders and 669 sixth graders), promoted from 20 elementary school in J province. The findings are as follows. First, the independent t-test showed that the lower graders had higher scores in cultural openness and national identity of multicultural acceptability, as well as the cognitive element of multicultural sensitivity than upper graders. In addition, the upper graders had higher scores in unilateral expectations for assimilation of multicultural acceptability, as well as the cognitive element of judging multicultural children. Second, all subscales were found to be interrelated, except for unilateral expectations for assimilation and two subscales (cognitive and righteous) in judging multicultural children. These results imply that in order to help have more positive perceptions of multiculturalism, it is necessary to develop more diverse multicultural education programs for elementary school students which take into consideration their grade levels.

앙상블 기반 관측 자료에 따른 예측 민감도 모니터링 시스템 구축 및 평가 (A Monitoring System of Ensemble Forecast Sensitivity to Observation Based on the LETKF Framework Implemented to a Global NWP Model)

  • In this study, we analyzed and developed the monitoring system in order to confirm the effect of observations on forecast sensitivity on ensemble-based data assimilation. For this purpose, we developed the Ensemble Forecast Sensitivity to observation (EFSO) monitoring system based on Local Ensemble Transform Kalman Filter (LETKF) system coupled with Korean Integrated Model (KIM). We calculated 24 h error variance of each of observations and then classified as beneficial or detrimental effects. In details, the relative rankings were according to their magnitude and analyzed the forecast sensitivity by region for north, south hemisphere and tropics. We performed cycle experiment in order to confirm the EFSO result whether reliable or not. According to the evaluation of the EFSO monitoring, GPSRO was classified as detrimental observation during the specified period and reanalyzed by data-denial experiment. Data-denial experiment means that we detect detrimental observation using the EFSO and then repeat the analysis and forecast without using the detrimental observations. The accuracy of forecast in the denial of detrimental GPSRO observation is better than that in the default experiment using all of the GPSRO observation. It means that forecast skill score can be improved by not assimilating observation classified as detrimental one by the EFSO monitoring system.

  • Cholesterol assimilated by Lactobacillus acidophilus ATCC 43121 was not metabolically degraded in that most of it was recovered with the cells. Cells grown in the presence of cholesterol micelles and bile salts were more resistant to Iysis by sonication than those grown in their absence, suggesting a possible alteration of cellular membranes. Cholesterol assimilation occurred during growth at pH 6.0, the amount of which was more than that by cells grown without pH control. Cholesterol assimilated by cells was recovered in the membrane fractions of cells both grown at pH 6.0 and without pH control. The effect of unsaturated fatty acids on cholesterol assimilation was not clear, since there was no significant (P> 0.05) difference in the amount taken up from micelles prepared using L-${\alpha}$-phosphatidylcholine, dioleoyl or L-${\alpha}$-phosphatidylcholine, distearoyl. Without Tween 80, little, if any, cell growth or cholesterol uptake was observed. In the presence of 0.05% Tween 80, cholesterol uptake increased dramatically as did growth. However, as the amount of Tween 80 increased beyond 0.05%, cholesterol uptake decreased while the amount of growth remained the same.
