  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze and compare the existing digital media asset management systems and develop a prospective implementation model. As a result of conducting this research, it is recommended that the prospective system consists of an archiving server, a processing server, and an interface system. This result suggests important starting point to develop a resonable and reliable implementation model for digital media asset management system.

  • There have been a lot of researches about KM(knowledge management) in domestic and foreign countries since 1990. Especially, there have been a lot of researches about enabler of KM, knowledge asset etc. but these are insufficient researches about performance measure of knowledge management considering maturity of KM. In addition, performance measure and maturity considering enabler to manage successful knowledge as well as knowledge asset which can be the following result are not the sufficient situation. Therefore, this study makes developmental levels of the inside and outside of the corporate by observing previous studies about the maturity of knowledge management and classifies enabler of knowledge management and measure item about knowledge asset by level, considering the features of each developmental level. And it is designed to propose maturity measure methods considering maturity level of actual knowledge management item by drawing indicator to measure classified items.

  • Criteria for the comparison of quality of asset portfolio management are risk and return. In this paper a method to use structural time-series model to determine an optimal portfolio for the improvement of quality of asset portfolio management is suggested. In traditional mean variance analysis expected return is assumed to be time-invariant. However, it is more realistic to assume that expected return is temporally dynamic and structural time-series model can be used to reflect time-varying nature of return. A data set from an insurance company was used to show validity of suggested method.

  • The asset management system for power distribution is necessary to make efficient use of distribution asset and to devise optimum investment plans. So we developed KDAMS(Korea Distribution Asset Management System) that is adopting reliability indexs, SAIFI and SAIDI, and operator's experiences. This paper presents functions of the system that is reliability management, failure rate management, establishment of optimum investment plan and so on. And it presents the of used algorithms to develop this system.

An Analysis of Korean House Prices Movements with Asset Pricing Models (자산가격 결정모형을 이용한 우리나라 주택가격 분석)

  • Korean house prices have risen rapidly since year 2001 and there have been some worries that the recent house price hikes are too excessive. This paper empirically analyzes the movement of Korean house prices and derives some implications from it, based on three different theoretical asset pricing models; long-run supply demand model, present value model and general asset pricing model. The results from the analyses show that recent house prices are overall higher than the theoretical prices, thus requiring measures to stabilize house prices hikes.

  • In this paper, we investigated the modeling of Bank Asset Management System(BAME) based on intelligent agent. To achieve this goal, we introduced several kinds of agents that show intelligent features. BAMS is a user friendly system and adopts fuzzy converting system and fuzzy matching system that returns reasonable similarity matching results. Generation function of the proximity degree is suggested. Fuzzification of investment type categories and feature values are defined, and generation of proximity degree is also derived. An example of bank asset management system is introduced and simulated. Investment type matching utilizing fuzzy measure is tested and it showed quite reasonable similarity matching results.

  • Recently, deep reinforcement learning has been applied to a variety of industries, such as games, robotics, autonomous vehicles, and data cooling systems. An algorithm called reinforcement learning allows for automated asset allocation without the requirement for ongoing monitoring. It is free to choose its own policies. The purpose of this paper is to carry out an empirical analysis of the performance of asset allocation strategies. Among the strategies considered were the conventional Mean- Variance Optimization (MVO) and the Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO). According to the findings, the PPO outperformed both its benchmark index and the MVO. This paper demonstrates how dynamic asset allocation can benefit from the development of a reinforcement learning algorithm.

  • A robust asset management methodology is essential for effective decision-making of maintenance, repair and rehabilitation of a bridge network. It can be achieved by a computer-based bridge management system (BMS). Successful BMS development requires a reliable bridge deterioration model, which is the most crucial component in a BMS, and an optimal management philosophy. The maintenance optimization methodology proposed in this paper is developed for a small bridge network with limited structural condition rating records. . The methodology is organized in three major components: (1) bridge health index (BHI); (2) maintenance and budget optimization; and (3) reliable Artificial Intelligence (AI) based bridge deterioration model. The outcomes of the paper will help to identify BMS implementation problems and to provide appropriate solutions for managing small bridge networks.

  • As many parts of Korea are mountainous, many tunnels have been constructed to be in step with rapid economic development since 1970's. However, the interest on maintenance of tunnels is far less than the awareness of need for tunnels. As the tunnel maintenance system is the responsive maintenance system which responds to the problems found during the inspection, it will be very difficult to respond to each problem with the limited budget and manpower of the government agencies when the number of aged tunnels rapidly increase in the future. As such, this study presents the need for the LCCA (Life Cycle Cost Analysis) based tunnel asset management system to transform the tunnel maintenance to a preventive management system in a strategic and long-term viewpoint and proposes the framework for development direction. It observed the asset management implementation cases of social infrastructure in other countries and analyzed the need for asset management technique to manage the tunnels in Korea. Moreover, it applied the LCCA model, which is the economic and engineering quantitative decision making technique, for tunnel asset management to present the concrete direction for development of an asset management model and designed the R&D framework to systemize it.

An Asset Management based Accounting Method for Sewer Maintenance Expenditure (자산관리체계 도입을 위한 하수관거 유지관리 지출의 회계처리 발전 방안)

  • Governmental accounting system has changed from budgetary accounting on the basis of cash and bookkeeping by single entry to financial accounting on the basis of accrual and bookkeeping by double entry. In the context of this transition, infrastructure becomes considered an asset in accounting, and resulting accounting methods also take different approaches from conventional budgetary accounting. Financial accounting system defines expenditures into two categories, i.e. capital expenditure(CAPEX) and operational expenditure(OPEX), and stipulates that the expenditure shall be divided into those two categories before accounting. The construction and expansion of infrastructure must be considered a CAPEX because it means a sort of asset acquisition, but with regard to applications in practical accounting, it is actually challenging to judge whether any expenditure associated with maintenance works (including repair and service) during use of infrastructure acquired shall be considered CAPEX or OPEX. This paper suggested an asset management based accounting method for sewer maintenance expenditure. And it applied the method to actual accounting cases and analyzed them in comparison with conventional financial information. As a case study result, Sewer asset value of S city increased approximately 700 hundred won because sewer maintenance expenditure are classified between OPEX and CAPEX according to the proposed accounting method. It is expected that the proposed accounting method will contribute significantly to providing any proper sewer asset value information.
