하브루타를 적용한 신병훈련의 효과가 훈련병의 만족도 및 성취도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Recruit Training with Havruta on the Satisfaction and Achievement of Trainees)

  • The army is concerned about the decrease in enlistment resources due to the low birth rate and the weakening of military combat power due to the shortening of the military service period. Now, the military's quantitative growth is no longer limited and it is a time for qualitative growth. To this end, the Army has been applying the Israeli learning method Havruta to recruit training to improve the quality of training since 2019. After applying Havruta, several scholars have studied the effect of recruit training applying Havruta. As a result, it was verified that recruit training applying Havruta improves the inner motive, creativity, and military service value of trainees. This study investigated how trainees' inner motive, creativity, and military service value affect their satisfaction and achievement. In addition, it was studied whether the effect of recruit training applied with Havruta on achievement differs according to the educational background (high school graduate or higher) and military family (professional soldiers within 4th degree) of the trainees. To this end, a survey was conducted on 472 recruits, and the structural relationship between each variable and the moderating effect were analyzed using the structural equation model. As a result of the study, military service value did not affect training satisfaction. Also, there was a difference in the effect of creativity on training satisfaction according to the educational background of new recruits, and there was a difference in the effect of military service value on training satisfaction and training achievement according to military family members. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the improvement of the army's recruit training development plan and effective training system.

붕괴방지수준(CLE)을 적용한 콘크리트 댐 피어부 내진성능평가 방안 개선 (Improvement of Seismic Performance Evaluation Method for Concrete Dam Piers by Applying Collapse-Level Earthquake(CLE))

  • 이 논문의 목적은 붕괴방지수준의 지진력을 적용한 콘크리트 댐 피어부 동적해석 시 합리적인 댐 축방향 지진하중 재하 방법, 내하력 평가 방법 등에 대한 적용방안을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 콘크리트 댐 피어부를 대상 시설로 선정하여 다양한 위어부 폭을 적용한 동적해석을 통해 위어부 댐 축방향 동적거동 특성을 분석하고 'U.S. Army Corps, 2007'제시하는 RC수력구조물 평가기법을 적용하여 내하력 평가를 수행하였다. 연구결과 피어부 댐 축방향 지진력 적용 시 위어부 댐 축방향은 강체거동으로 가정하는 것이 보다 현실적이고 'U.S. Army Corps, 2007'에서 제시하는 모멘트와 전단에 대한 내하력 검토방법이 합리적인 것으로 판단되므로 현행 평가방법의 개선이 필요한 것으로 결과가 도출되었다. 연구 결과 개선사항을 적용할 경우 CLE를 적용한 현행 내진성능평가 방법보다 합리적인 평가결과를 도출하는 효과가 있을 것이다. 피어부에 발생하는 비틀림 모멘트에 대해서는 향후 추가적인 연구가 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

여군 인사운영시스템에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Woman Soldier Human Affairs Operation Systems.)

  • 여군인력은 2014년 육군의 포병, 방공 등 그동안 허용되지 않았던 전투병과를 여군에게 개방했다. 2015년 1만 명을 넘어섰으며 2017년 장교 4450명, 부사관 6374명으로 확대할 계획에 있다. 해군은 2017년부터 잠수함에 승선할 여군 장교를 선발해 3000t급 이상 잠수함에 승선시킬 방침이다. 그러나 정책의 결정에 따라 여군이 증가하였음에도 이에 대한 제도적 보완은 미흡한 상태이다. 따라서 여군의 역할이 확대되고 미래전 양상에 부합된 여군운용에 대한 발전적인 제도가 뒷받침되어야 할 시기가 되었으며, 여군의 선발과 인력 확대에 대한 보직순환과 관리 등 명확한 기준이 요구되고 있다. 여군과 남군이 차이가 있음에도 남군과 동일한 기준으로 적용하고 있는 현재 규정을 보완하고 현상을 분석하여 여군인사운영에 대해 발전적인 방안이 제시되어야 할 것이다.

육군 항공기류 UHF 대역 송수신기 CE101 시험 (The CE101 Test of the Army Aircraft's UHF Band Transceiver)

  • 육군 항공기류의 UHF 대역 송수신기는 규격인 MIL-STD-461F Figure CE101-4를 만족해야 한다. 항공기에 장착되는 장비이므로, 소모전력 최소화 및 주파수 간섭 최소화에 중점을 두고 장비를 설계하였다. 장비 설계 후 CE101 시험을 진행하면서 문제가 발생되었던 부분은 30 Hz에서 1 kHz에서 100 dBuA 규격 이상의 신호가 발생하였고, 발생된 신호는 송수신기에서 방사되는 10 W, 20 ms 단위의 $T_{DD}$ 50 Hz 신호로 분석되었다. 규격 만족을 위해 전류변화량을 줄여야 한다는 시험 결과를 토대로 출력증폭기의 $I_{dq}$$I_d$ 값을 유사하게 수정하였고, 기존 설계의 소모 전력과 주파수 간섭과 크게 차이가 없게 설계 및 제작하였다.

Japanese Broadcasting in Shanghai during the Periods of Solitary Island and Occupation: A Case Study on the Great Eastern Broadcasting Station (Daito Hoso Kyoku)

  • Right before the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1937-1954), the Great Eastern Broadcasting Station (GEBS) was established in Shanghai under the aegis of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA). Prior to the launching of the GEBS, Japan had not owned similar radio stations in China for years. As a result, the Embassy of Japan in China held rounds of discussions on the plan and Japanese governments, ranging from the MOFA, the Navy, the Army, the Ministry of Communications (MOC), and NHK-Japan Broadcasting Corporation (Nihon Hoso Kyoku) provided financial, technological, and equipment support. In the mid-1930s when the Sino-Japanese relations became intensified, the GEBS assumed the primary role of disseminating government policies to over 30,000 Japanese expatriates in Shanghai to make sure that they could remain settled while supporting military endeavors of the Japanese army once the war between China and Japanese broke out. After 1937, the GEBS became an essential propaganda tool to advance imperial policies of Japan. Although the station differed from the Army-controlled Greater Shanghai Broadcasting Station (Dai Shanhai Hoso Kyoku) in many aspects, it was in line with the latter in terms of advancing wartime ideology of the Japanese empire. As the Japanese-occupied areas were enlarged, target audience of the GEBS also expanded to Chinese people and foreign nationals when Japanese, English, Russian, and Shanghai-dialect news was broadcast by the station. Suffice it to say that the GEBS was closely related to wartime propaganda of the Japanese imperial expansion.

MGIS 및 유전자 알고리즘을 활용한 정보자산 최적배치에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimal Allocation for Intelligence Assets Using MGIS and Genetic Algorithm)

  • The literature about intelligence assets allocation focused on mainly single or partial assets such as TOD and GSR. Thus, it is limited in application to the actual environment of operating various assets. In addition, field units have generally vulnerabilities because of depending on qualitative analysis. Therefore, we need a methodology to ensure the validity and reliability of intelligence asset allocation. In this study, detection probability was generated using digital geospatial data in MGIS (Military Geographic Information System) and simulation logic of BCTP (Battle Commander Training Programs) in the R.O.K army. Then, the optimal allocation mathematical model applied concept of simultaneous integrated management, which was developed based on the partial set covering model. Also, the proposed GA (Genetic Algorithm) provided superior results compared to the mathematical model. Consequently, this study will support effectively decision making by the commander by offering the best alternatives for optimal allocation within a reasonable time.

예산제약하에서 수리부속 최적조달요구량 산정 연구 (A Study of the Optimal Procurement to Determine the Quantities of Spare Parts Under the Budget Constraint)

  • It is very important to forecast demand and determine the optimal procurement quantities of spare parts. The Army has been forecasting demand not with actual usage of spare parts but with request quantities. However, the Army could not purchase all of forecasted demand quantities due to budget limit. Thus, the procurement quantities depend on the item managers' intuition and their meetings. The system currently used contains many problems. This study suggests a new determination procedure; 1) forecasting demand method based on actual usage, 2) determining procurement method through LP model with budge and other constraints. The newly determined quantities of spare parts is verified in the simulation model, that represents the real operational and maintenance situation to measure the operational availability. The result shows that the new forecasting method with actual usage improves the operational availability. Also, the procurement determination with LP improves the operational availability as well.

On an Analytical Quick Game to Investigate the Battle Effectiveness of Forward Defence Concepts

  • The so-called “Quick Game”-models resemble a central element within the Compound Gaming approach of military systems analysis proposed by Huber [1, 2]. This paper introduces such an analytical model designed to investigate the battle-effectiveness of alternative army structures. The nature of its results is discussed from numerical experiments covering the (German) Army Structure 4, Loser's Area Coverage Defence Concept, and Afheldt's Area Defence Concept. It turns out that Loser's concept promises to have a comparatively high potential to stabilize the early conventional forward defence, hence being an interesting alternative for further analysis in depth.

  • Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have been considered as valuable aerial reconnaissance systems and our army wants capability-enhanced UAVs installed in our territory, hoping that the UAVs will provide enemy information in detail. The enemy information acqcuired by UAVs would be shared by our army's legacy systems. In this article, we made a research on the interoperability between UAVs and Ground Fighting Vehicles (GFVs), laying emphasis on what kinds of tactical information could be exchanged by two different weapon systems. Also, it needs to be addressed that their upper-level commanding systems play a significant role in such operation.

"They're Worth My Investment": Cultivating Intimacy through Fan-lead Financial and Support Initiatives among BTS Fans

  • This research outlines the motivations behind the fan-lead marketing and promotional endeavours undertaken by musical group BTS's fan community, also known as ARMY. In highlighting the reciprocity in intimacy between the group and their fans, I argue that ARMY's desire to elevate BTS is embedded within structures of affect, despite the financial nature of the benefits the group and their company may reap. These fan-lead initiatives represent efforts towards a common goal, where success, whether it comes in the form of money or not, is a gift of gratitude and a show of mutual understanding from fans to BTS. Based on data from 22 interviews with fans, this research explores the motivations behind fan-lead marketing by looking at the affective properties of music consumption, the parasocial relationship, fan community dynamics, and the purchase of intimacy. Within these contexts, the promotion surrounding BTS's music, as organized by the fans, mimics profit-oriented behaviours but is ultimately a gesture towards the exchange of intimacy between fans and artist.
