Recently, the criteria for assessing industrial accidents have been replaced by the mortality rate. It was found that the number of deaths from excavation work was the highest among construction machinery. The risk assessment is being conducted, however the industrial accident mortality rate has not decreased. Accordingly, this study aims to provide the basic for the create of a risk assessment model specialized in construction work at excavator. It provides absolute value from the risk model which is capable of delivery the probability of a disaster. In addition, we provide a relative risk model that compares the risk through scores between detailed works. The relative risk model is combined by likelihood and severity; the likelihood indicates the frequency of accidents and the severity indicates seriousness of fatal accidents. A variable that reflects the conditions of the construction site was added to the risk assessment model based on past disaster cases. And using the concepts of probability and average, the risk assessment process was quantified and used as an objective indicator. Therefore, the model is expected to reduce disasters by raising the awareness of disasters.

Kenzo Tange was interested in how to express tradition in the process of creation of modern architecture and tried to express the traditionaluty of Japanese architecture in his own way. In particular, Tange expressed Japanese tradition in terms of building materials and components from the point of view of his own 'New Tradition'. Tange created the 'Japanese style of architecture' based on traditional architecture to match the discourse of international architecture and distinguish it from the Western one, by harmonizing the plasticity of Japanese traditional architecture with the Western technology in building materials and components. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the signs and traces of traditions in the building materials and components in his architecture. Through this study, I would like to have implications for our architecture, which had a very different process and result from Japan in digesting and combining it with traditional architecture although Western civilization was accepted at about the same time.

Modular Construction is a method, which factory-produced units are transferred to on-site and assembled to form complete buildings. It is expected that its demand will increase gradually. Because it has some advantages such as duration reduction, movement, reuse and environmental friendliness etc. For the Modular Construction to be introduced and applied, we needs the objective and reasonable performance criteria. This study presents the acoustic performance criteria of the modular building. For this one, this paper reviews legal standard related to performance, analyzes the performance evaluation and survey on pilot projects. The presented performance criteria can be specifically asked the demand by owner in a design guideline. In addition, it makes designer and general contractor accomplish target performance. Eventually, it can improve the performance of Modular Building.

A single-person-house-holder has been increased since 2000s in South Korea, which led to high demands for small and medium-sized new houses requiring municipal architectural review committee consideration. And it has been argued recently that there are many limitations in the review system. Comprehensive expert surveys and interviews were conducted and the results were analyzed using the AHP to explore limitations in B city. The analysis with the data of 27 survey responds found that 'Related ordinance itself', 'Committee members limitation', and 'Absurdity on administrative procedure' are problematic in order of priority. It is also revealed that architects and administrative officials have different thoughts on the seriousness of those. The results of this study are expected to be used as basic data on studies for improving the system.
