Environmental pollution including air, land, and water has become one of the most critical issues in global interest. The damages due to environmental pollution lead to serious disasters. Nations have realized the importance of environment protection and have been starting to force organizations to implement environmental management system (EMS) as way of protecting environment. ISO 14001 requirements that are the most popular standard as EMS have been developed to support continuous improvement to environment management. It has been revised once since publication and ISO 14001 : 2004 version is currently available. Organizations globally started to acquire the certificate of EMS to observe environment related laws, accept customers' and stakeholders' request, increase market share, and fulfill implementation motives. This article examines the audit data that were collected for several years from manufacturing companies including shipbuilding, machinery, metal, automobiles, and chemical companies in southeastern Korea on the basis of ISO 14001 : 2004 requirements. The audit data were classified into minor nonconformities based on factors such as business size, business type, and EMS implementation period. We conduct hypotheses test using statistical methods in order to see if there are any significant differences based on the factors. We draw conclusions for the results of hypotheses test and address the necessities of energy, greenhouse gas, green management, and continuous improvement to enhance the efficiency of EMS implementation.

본 논문은 환경오염방지 및 처리에 관한 설비 등 환경기초시설에서 운영 적정성에 대한 정보화 시스템 즉, 환경기초시설 통합관리 시스템 개발에 관한 것이다. 이것을 개발하여 오염 원인물질의 생성부터 오염방지처리, 소멸에 이르기까지 전 과정(Life Cycle)에 대한 환경성 개선과 효과의 극대화를 이룬다. 이를 위해서 환경에너지시설의 환경경영 국제표준인 ISO14001 기반의 소각시설 정보화 시스템인 환경기초시설의 운영을 위한 유비쿼터스 전과정 평가시스템(u-LCA: Ubiquitous Life Cycle Assessment)을 개발하였다. 개발된 시스템은 현재 고양시 소각장에 적용하여 시범 운영 중이다. 이로 인하여 관리자들은 실시간으로 소각로의 운영 실태를 확인하고 문제점들을 즉시 개선할 수 있다.

Environmental matters have more influence on business performances. Consequently, as a way to cope with environmental matters, much more interests in environment-friendly management have increased recently. First-rated hotels and food-service restaurants have been concentrating on gaining ISO 14001 EMS(Environment Management System), which is regarded as objective and international, to solve and prevent environmental matters. However, there are some internal and external problems emerged in the food-service industry and first-rated hotels. Therfore, covering the examples of ESH(Environment Safety Health) management which was developed by H group and based on ISO 14001 EMS, this study aims to observe merits of ISO 14001 EMS as a model that can develop an environment management system, and to consider an improvement plan for better understanding of licensed cooks in restaurants.

This research investigates the status of environmental design implementation in Taiwan's industries (Certified by ISO 14001) by employing questionnaire survey. The correlation between the degree of environmental design implementation in Taiwan's industries and the relevant entrepreneurial characteristics are examined. Twenty-six environmental design principles in four phases: design, manufacturing, sales and transportation, and disposal are used to define and assess the current status of environmental design. The data analysis methods applied to this research includes descriptive statistics, T-test, Chi-square test, and single-factor analysis of variance (ANOVA). It is evident that 21 out of the 26 environmental design principles are frequently and consistently employed by the manufacturers in Taiwan. The results indicate that environmental design implementation is becoming mature in Taiwan's industries.

Recently, many universities over the world are struggling to have the competitive edge. Some of them are implementing ISO management system for efficient administration processes and the safe and clean environment. For many years, ISO 9000 quality management systems have been adopted in the universities, while only a few universities are implementing ISO 14000 environmental management system in their educational systems. In this study, we proposed how to implement ISO 14001 1996(I) environmental management system in university and showed the case study of D College's ISO 14001 environmental management system.

Until now, our country environment management system are operated by past control system, but which system have many restrict to be familiar environment. Nowadays, many company try proactive control environment management system, specially by ISO 14001 system. In this paper we propose new Excellence Environmental Management Strategic which are compounded with Malcom Baldridge National Quality Award and ISO 14001.

PL has been developed centering around England and America. Recently many countries are introducing PL system changing the world a single economic bloc based on the rapid development of Technology and Economy. This paper is studied with related literatures and theses, organizational consulting cases within the framework of the firm as the central operating bodies of PL system. In the past, Some papers about System Integration which was operated as a same Certificate System and enacted in a single organization, was studied and presented. But most of papers was a theoretical study related model and conception. In this situation Government supports PSMS of a single system at government expense to 100­200 companies for improving organizational confrontation ability of PL this year. This paper proposed a design and effect of Integration system model based on the analysis of ISO 9001：2000, KS, PSMS and ISO 14001. The integrated system has the following three distinctions. Firstly, KS is a national establishment, national leading certification and forcing standard. Secondly, ISO 9001：2000 and ISO 14001 are an international organization's establishment, non­official certification and optional standard. Finally, PSMS isn't a national law and forcing matter. And it isn't the concept of certification but the operational system by itself. Also if a lawsuit by defect is happened, it is very dangerous. This paper, which is integrated by four management systems and has many consulting cases, is the first in this department and is different from others. Also If people has the basic knowledge about management system, they can directly connect it to the organizational system according to this paper's guidance. It is very good result in this study because the law of PL is executed now.
