The Four Points Diagonal Positioning Algorithm for Iris Position Tracking Improvement

  • An improvement of tracking capacity to find a position of the Iris images is presented in this paper. The propose algorithm is used the Four Points Diagonal Positioning algorithm that the image is positioned with arbitrary 4 points on the edge of iris and the selective 4 points are drawn by a diagonal line on the cross. The experiment result shows that the algorithm is efficient to track on the eyelid.

  • This paper deals with implementing a steganography based multi-modal biometric system. For this purpose, we construct a multi-biometrics system based on the face and iris recognition. Here, the feature vector of iris pattern is hidden in the face image. The recognition system is designed by the fuzzy-based Linear Discriminant Analysis(LDA), which is an expanded approach of the LDA method combined by the theory of fuzzy sets. Furthermore, we present a watermarking method that can embed iris information into face images. Finally, we show the advantages of the proposed watermarking scheme by computing the ROC curves and make some comparisons recognition rates of watermarked face images with those of original ones. From various experiments, we found that our proposed scheme could be used for establishing efficient and secure multi-modal biometric systems.

  • In this paper, the principle of operation. the part characteristic, characteristic of component movement, analysis are carried out for camcoder iris assembly which is one of the important element component in Video large projection TV instrument, and some Know-how for development of element component is also included. The magnetic field circuit for the small and simple structure with low power consumption is introduced and new materials of yoke for small motor system is suggested. Especially, the relation with remained magnetic field and operation duration time is analyzed by experimental results. Some problems of nonlinear torque characteristics include to obtain the simple and low cost structure in domestic production of element component is analyzed. Furthermore, development procedure is suggested for iris assembly and some methods to reduce the burr with some check points for small precise accessories are explained.

  • In this paper, we implemented embedded LNUX-based UI(User Interface) board which can be applied to Human Iris recognition product. for this purpose, we also analyzed and designed LNUX operating system and adapted boot loader, kernel, control program modules according to the developed H/W architectures. As the experimental results shows that Iris recognition system is operable and embedded LNUX-based UI board which is connected to heterogeneous system by TCP/IP protocol can both successfully send and receive data this UI board has been able to obtain high performance.

  • In this paper, we present a 20 GHz low-loss dual-mode channel filter designed by using mode matching method. The performance of dual-mode channel filter mainly depends on iris characteristics. Therefore the exact design of iris is the key point to get good frequncy response of the filter. MOde matching technique is widely used ot design several kinds of waveguide filters because it is simple in theory and can easily calculate the scattering matrices at the discontinuities with simple structure like iris coupled filters. Additionally the effect for finite thickness of the iris in the dual-mode cavity iflter is analyzed by te full-wave method, providing the exact filter implementation without trial and error.

  • This paper proposes illumination-efficient iris image capturing method. face capture method for extraction of iris pattern with one high resolution camera needs a large scale near infrared illumination. we replace high-resolution camera with co-optic-axial combination between wide view camera and narrow view camera. because this method needs small scale illumination that illuminate only narrow camera viewing angle, we can capture iris pattern image with small scale near infrared illumination.

  • Recently, biometric authentication mechanism has been used to provide high level of security in cryptographic systems. In this paper, we propose an efficient method of generating invariant iris key to be applied in cryptographic systems. In order to generate iris key and improve the performance at the stolen token scenario, multiple random projection technique was combined with multiple linear transformation methods. From the experimental results, we proved that invariant iris keys were generated and the proposed method was robust to stolen token scenario.

  • In this paper, a modifed TE$_{113}$/TM$_{012}$ triple-mode bandpass filter is implemented by using a modified inter-cavity iris in which the number of slots are reduced upto 50%. In a coventioanl iris two prirs of slot apertures are used to independently couple three resonant modes between two adjacent cavities. However, if transverse magnetic polarizability of a pair of veritcal slot apertures is used to control weak horizontal TE$_{h}$-TE$_{h}$ mode coupling, the width of novel iris slots would substitute for the slot length of the conventional iris, causing to eliminate the horizontal slot apertures. The measured data of two filters, which are the modified filter and ocnventional one, are compared. Experimental result shows that the characteristics of the novel triple-mode filter matches well that of the conventional filter.

  • This paper shows how Ebooks contents can be securely transferred to consumers in wireless environment using public key infrastructure (PKI). In addition, we show the proposed scheme to be secure. The final goal is to show that our scheme satisfies all secure requirements of digital contents in any environments.
