Effect of Fe and BO3 Substitution in Li1+xFexTi2-x(PO4)3-y(BO3)y Glass Electrolytes (Li1+xFexTi2-x(PO4)3-y(BO3)y 계 유리 전해질에서 Fe 및 BO3 치환 효과)

  • The effect of Fe and BO3 doping on structure, thermal, and electrical properties of Li1+xFexTi2-x(PO4)3-y(BO3)y (x = 0.2, 0.5)-based glass and glass ceramics was investigated. In addition, their crystallization behavior during sintering and ionic conductivity were also investigated in terms of sintering temperature. FT-IR and XPS results indicated that Fe2+ and Fe3+ ions in Li1+xFexTi2-x(PO4)3-y(BO3)y glass worked as a network modifier (FeO6 octahedra) and also as a network former (FeO4 tetrahedra). In the case of the glass with low substitution of BO3, boron formed (PB)O4 network structure, while boron preferred BO3 triangles or B3O3 boroxol rings with increasing the BO3 content owing to boic oxide anomaly, which can result in an increased non-bridging oxygen. The glass transition temperature (GTT) and crystallization temperature (CT) was lowered as the BO3 substitution was increased, while Fe2+ lowered the GTT and raised the CT. The ionic conductivity of Li1+xFexTi2-x(PO4)3-y(BO3)y glass ceramics were 8.85×10-4 and 1.38×10-4S/cm for x = 0.2 and 0.5, respectively. The oxidation state of doped Fe and boric oxide anomaly were due to the enhanced lithium ion conductivity of glass ceramics.

Effects of harsh environmental exposures on the bond capacity between concrete and GFRP reinforcing bars

  • This paper demonstrates an experimental study to evaluate the effects of environmental exposures on the bond between ribbed Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) reinforcing bars and concrete. The equation recommended by ACI 440-1R-06, for the bond stress,was evaluated in this study. A total of 16 pullout samples, 12with GFRP bars and 4with steel bars, were exposed to two different harsh environments for different periods of time. The exposed harsh environments included direct sun exposure and cyclic splash zone sea water. The variation in the shear (bond) strengths before and after exposure was considered as a measure of the durability of the bond between GFRP bars and concrete.Experimental results showed there is no significant difference of the bond strength between 60 and 90 days of exposures.It also showed that the empirical equation of the bond stress calculated by ACI 440-IR-06 is very conservative.

  • 본 연구에서는 Glass ceramic $SiO_2-CaO-Al_2O_3$를 사용하여 적층형 칩 퓨즈를 제조하였다. 퓨즈의 용단 특성 및 IR특성을 개선하기 위하여 기공조제로써 Corn starch 파우더(x=5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50wt%)를 혼합하여 기공을 형성하게 하였다. 미세구조 관찰 결과 Corn starch 파우더의 함량이 증가함에 따라 기공률이 증가하였다. 또한 전극의 선폭(x=50, 100, 150, $200{\mu}m$)을 변화 시킴으로써 전극의 폭이 커질수록 저항값이 줄어든다는 것을 알 수가 있었다. 기공층 도입을 통하여 적층형 칩 퓨즈의 용단 특성의 개선 및 ARC 억제가 가능하였다.

  • Boron Phosphide films were deposited on the glass substrate at low temperature, 550$^{\circ}C$, by the reaction of B$_2$H$\sub$6/ with PH$_3$ using CVD. N$_2$ was employed as carrier gas. The deposition rate was 1000${\AA}$/min and the refractive index of film was 2.6. The data of XRD show that the film has the preferred orientation of (1 0 1). The VIS spectrophotometer's data proved that the films are transparent in the visible range. Also, we performed AFM, FT-IR measurement. To investigate the annealing effect, the samples were annealed for 1hour, 3hours at 550$^{\circ}C$ and tested.

  • This paper reports on the development of high aspect ratio structure and 3-D integrated process for MEMS-based micro gas turbines. To manufacture high aspect ratio structures, Deep Reactive Ion Etching (DRIE) process have been developed and optimized. Specially, in this study, structures with aspect ratios greater than 10 were fabricated. Also, wafer direct bonding and Infra-Red (IR) camera bonding inspection systems have been developed. Moreover, using glass/silicon wafer direct bonding, we optimized the 3-D integrated process.

  • In the study, PPTMDSO(plasma-polymerized tetramethyldisiloxane) films were deposited on on glass substrate in a paralled plate reactor. As the function of RF power increased from 20 W to 110 W, and the substrate temperature increased from $25^{\circ}C$ to $100^{\circ}C$, the deposit ion rate, increased. When oxygen was intentionally added in monomer vapor, the concentration of Si-O-Si bonds increased while C-H, Si-H, -CH3, Si(CH3)x, -CH3, and Si-C bonds decreased in IR spectra. Thermal stability of PPTMSDO film were investigated and weight loss at $800^{\circ}C$ was 7.3 %.

  • This study is to analysis on electrical characteristics according to the pollution of the outdoor exposed modules. Output of module is generated locally because there are various factors of pollution on the front glass of the modules. The experiments is carried out by measuring out output of the module with MP-160 and hot spots with a IR camera. This study is to analysis on electrical characteristics according to the pollution of the outdoor exposed modules.

  • In this study, The RF magnetron sputter and evaporator was on glass substrates 30 mm ${\times}$ 30 mm OMO multilayer thin film structure is applied to the low-e. Structural and optical properties, a thin film was produced, the variable was placed into a variable deposition time of the oxide layer. According to the XRD measurement results there is no peak that satisfies the Bragg's law ($2dsin{\theta}=n{\lambda}$) which confirmed that it is an amorphous structure. RMS value of the results of the AFM measurement, has a roughness of less than 2 nm. transmittance measurements results, visible light region an average 80%, IR region 40% showed.

  • IPNs have interpenetrating motion and phase separation behavior of independent polymers, respectively, and also these are affected by the physical interaction of polymer components. First of all, 2- and 3-component IPNs based on PU are prepared by combination with two or three components of PU, PMMA, PS and epoxy resin. And then the entire physical properties concerning morphological and mechanical behaviors of these IPNs are measured by employing FT-IR, SEM, Rheovibron, and DSC, etc. Compared with pure component, Tg's of IPN are shifted to higher temperature in all IPN kinds, and these are considered in attribution to internal movement of glass transition temperature or partial phenomenon of interpenetration. Rheovibron measurement results in a broader distribution with peaks of tan${\delta}$ or E", and this morphologically represents a medium degree of partially mixed IPNs in confirmation of SEM photographs.

  • Amorphous silicon films were deposited on glass, [100] single crystal silicon wafer with thermally grown silicon dioxide, and [100] silicon wafer substrates by Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition(with argon diluted silane source gas). Growth rate, UV optical band edge, and the hydrogen quantity in the amorphous silicon films have been investigated as a function of the preparation conditions by measuring film thickness, UV-absorbency, and FT-IR transmittance. The growth rate of the ${\alpha}$-Si:H films increases with increasing substrate temperture, flow rate and R.F. power density. The UV optical band edge shifts to blue with the increases in the deposition pressure. Increasing substrate temperature shifts the UV optical band edge of the films to red. Hydrogen quantity in the ${\alpha}$-Si:H films increases with an increases in the R.F. powr and decreases with an increase in the substrate temperature.
