  • 역자 주. 수출전장에 있어서 첩보병의 역할을 담당하고 있는 수출정보센터는 전 세계로부터 밀려들어 오고 있는 정보를 어떠한 방법으로 처리 가공하여 보다 더 충실하게 우리나라 수출업계에 서어비스할까 연구 검토 중에 있다. 이 자료는 월간 자료와 정보(JETRO,무역자료센터 간행) 1970. 4월호에 게재된 기사로서 JETRO에서 1969년도부터 JETAC-IR SYSTEM을 개발하여 실시하고 있는 것으로서 지상을 통하여 그 일부를 소개하고자 한다.

Development of Real-Time Thickness Measuring System for Insulated Pipeline Using Gamma-ray (감마선을 이용한 단열배관의 실시간 두께측정시스템 개발)

  • By this study, on-line real-time radiometric system was developed using a 64 channels linear array of solid state detectors to measure wall thickness of insulated piping system. This system uses an Ir-192 as a gamma ray source and detector is composed of BGO scintillator and photodiode. Ir-192 gamma ray source and linear detector array mounted on a computer controlled robotic crawler. The Ir-192 gamma ray source is located on one side of the piping components and the detector array on the other side. The individual detectors of the detector array measure the intensity of the gamma rays after passing through the walls and the insulation of the piping component under measurement. The output of the detector array is amplified by amplifier and transmitted to the computer through cable. This system collects and analyses the data from the detector array in real-time as the crawler travels over the piping system. The maximum measurable length of pipe is 120cm/min. in the case of 1mm scanning interval.

  • The output of an infrared (IR) sensor mounted on an EO/IR payload is known to change during a mission period in an orbital environment. As it is required to calibrate the output of the IR sensor periodically to obtain high-quality images, an on-board black body system is mounted on the payload. All systems operating in the space environment require performance tests on ground to verify the target performance in the orbital environment. Therefore, it is also required to test the black body system to verify the performance of the surface temperature uniformity and the estimated representative temperature error within the target temperature range in the operating environment. In this study, calibration of the estimated representative temperature error and verification of the thermal performance of the black body system were conducted by performed a performance test in the thermal vacuum chamber applying deep space radiation cooling effect of an orbital environment.

  • This paper studies the sensitivity analysis of an infrared rays (IR) sensor (SHARP-GD2D12) with bluetooth communication. To evaluate the performance of the IR sensor-bluetooth module, the distance and angle data between the sensor and the fixed object are measured with an IR sensor and the measured data are transferred to PC via bluetooth within 100 meters. This experiment shows that the IR sensor-bluetooth system can be used to measure the distance and angle for a fixed object within 100 meters.

  • Rhenium-Iridium(Re-Ir) thin films were deposited onto the tungsten carbide(WC) molding core by sputtering system. The Re-Ir thin films on tungsten carbide molding core were analyzed by scanning electron microscope(SEM) and surface roughness. The Re-Ir coating technique has been intensive efforts in the field of coating process because the coating technique and process have been their feature, like hardness, high elasticity, adrasion resistance and mechanical stability and also have been applied widely the industrial and biomedical areas. In this report, tungsten carbide(WC) molding core was manufactures using high performance precision machining and the efforts of Re-Ir coating on the surface roughness.

  • Recently, the Smart household appliances to provide Smart services have been actively spreaded by providing IoT(Internet of Things). Also, the appliances which Wi-Fi and Bluetooth can directly control are preferred. But until now, the most household appliances are based on IR(InfraRed) and the each procotols of them are different. In this paper, to solve these problems, we suggested the system to control both smart appliances and general appliances by using Smart phone. The system is "Wi-Fi to IR" gateway which receives the Wi-Fi signal to convert to IR signal and transmit it. Also, we made the remote control function in specific brands' appliances possible to most brands without limitation and tried to control not only one remote controller for one TV brand but also for all brand without limitation.

  • Impulse radio (IR) is a competitive candidate for ultra-wideband (UWB) systems. In this letter, we evaluated the coexistence of an IR-UWB system based on an orthogonal sinusoidal correlation receiver (OSCR) with an IEEE 802.11a WLAN through a detailed simulation. The coexistence performance of the two systems is characterized in terms of the receiver's bit-error rates. Then, some approaches to interference mitigation are discussed.

  • Recently, interest in infra-red(IR) telemetry has increased because of the entirely different propagation and reflection properties of IR light as compared to radiowaves. IR hardly penetrates most materials and is reflected from obstacles. An biotelemetry system using these characteristics of indirect transmitted IR lights was developed, in which 3 ECG's are multiplexed and modulated in PDM/PIM pulse sequence. This proto-type system enables us to realize the non-restraint measurement of biological signals. Compared with conventional radio telemetry, this technique has some merits such as no electromagnetic interference, no frequency allocation problem, no government control over transmission power.

  • In this paper, we suggest the tracking method of moving multi-objects in maritime environments. The image acquisition is conducted using IR(InfraRed) camera sensors on an airborne platform. Under the circumstance of maritime, the qualities of IR images can be significantly degraded due to the clutter influence, which directly gives rise to a tracking loss problem. In order to reduce the effects from the clutters, we introduce a technical approach under Man-In-The-Loop(MITL) system for enhancing the tracking performance. To demonstrate the robustness of the proposed approach based on VTG(Valid Tracking Gate), the simulations are conducted utilizing the airborne IR video sequences: Then, the tracking performances are compared with the existing Kalman Filter tracking techniques.
