  • Wire, wireless digital broadcasting has sharply expanded with the birth of high definition TV since 2010, the use of duplex contents as well as simplex contents has rapidly increased. Currently, our satellite communications system adopted DVB by European digital broadcasting standardization organization as a standard of domestic data broadcasting, the method how to use selective contents has been studied variously according to the development of IPTV. Digital broadcasting utilizes the method using Transport Stream Packet(TSP) by the way of multiplexing of information in order to send multimedia information such as video, audio and data of MPEG-2, this streams include detail information on TV guide and program as well as video and audio information. In order to understand these data broadcasting system, this study realized TS analyzer that divides transport stream (TS) by packet in Linux environment, analyzes and prints by function, it can help the understanding of TS, the enhancement of stream parsing ability.

  • In this paper, content management system (CMS) is introduced to serve IPTV, WEB, Mobile, Smart Devices and others using a single content management system's transcoding engine to overcome the limitations of traditional content management systems. Developed CMS reduced the burden of content management by automatically recognizing one content into several content simultaneously to provide the best content to each device, thereby reducing the burden of CMS additional adoption. The focus is on utilizing automated system for studio content and automatic management of mobile filmed images, and it is planned to develop the One-Stop Service for contents by adding functions for contents production later.

  • As digital convergence evolves, it is expected that the market of IP-based services like VoIP and IPTV will be expanded. In particular, IPTV market is expected to attract consumers' attention through various interactive services offering a variety of experiences to consumers. Interactivity sets apart old media from new one in terms of how to mediate effects of user satisfaction. The object of this study is to investigate (1) multi-dimensional Interactivities in an interactive medium based on IP and relationship among them, and (2) significant factors affecting cognitive absorption of interactive media users. This study aims to provide implications on how to develop strategies for IP-based media including e-learning system.

  • IPTV is an emerging technology that combines both broadcasting and tele-communication technologies, and provides various multi-media contents to the service subscribers. In general, IPTV broadcasters transmit scrambled signals (multi-media contents) to the paying subscribers, and the users within the acknowledged network descramble the signals using the smart-card. That is, users are verified through communication between STB (Set-Top Box) and smart-card. In 2004, Jiang et al. proposed a secure protocol regarding the verification process. The method has been modified and enhanced by several following research works. However, all the methods that have been proposed so far required modular exponentiation operations which may raise the smart-card costs. In this paper, we propose a new efficient mutual authentication and session-key establishment protocol using only hash functions and exclusive-or operations, and show that the proposed protocol is still secure under various security attacks.

  • Smart TV, Internet content and interactive services are available, the operating system to mount the Web, App Store, you can enjoy a variety of content. Smart TV market, TV replacement cycle is long, watching for changes in the way copyright issues such as adaptation period and, unlike the case of a smart phone TV market in the short term are expected to occupy will not find, if IPTV, satellite, cable and real-time TV platform for broadcasters to adopt a smart, smart TV market could spread more quickly than expected. Long term, Google, Apple, TV gajeonsa and broadcasters to compete with various companies through the process of expanding the TV market is smart, the media are expected to dominate the market. Smart TV with the latest technology-related research and to investigate the Smart TV, Smart TV is designed based widgets. Widgets on the desktop, mobile, IPTV, etc. can be implemented in various environments and various features and types of users already are using the widget. In particular the advantages of the widget can be implemented to meet the needs of the users, because users to more efficiently and meet their desired widget. In this paper, propose Smart-TV-based Baby management widget.

  • CAS is an access control system by which only legal users can access contents. IPTV is a spotlighted system that uses CAS. H.264/SVC is a coding standard that provides a scalable coding method by which users who are in various network environments and have various devices can receive the contents. In this method, the contents are coded in a layered structure to make users choose the quality of the receiving contents. Therefore, contents provider should be able to control users to access only appropriate contents according to their subscriptions. The structure of CAS being employed in many applications is not suitable to control access for H.264/SVC. In this paper, we provide an efficient access control method and a key management method for H.264/SVC contents using CAS.

  • 현재 인터넷 공급업체(ISP)에서는 IPTV제공을 위하여 IP Multicast 제공이 가능한 망을 구성하여 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 특히, 오픈형 IPTV 서비스를 위해서 기존의 IP Network에서 제공해야 한다. 이는 IP Multicast를 지원하지 않는 기존의 장비들에 대한 문제점을 고려하여야 한다. 오버레이 멀티캐스트(Overlay-Multicast)는 IP Multicast의 단점을 보완하기위한 메커니즘이다. 실시간 비디오 스트리밍 서비스를 위해서는 오버레이 멀티캐스트 트리의 최적화가 요구된다. 트리기반의 오버레이 멀티캐스트에서 각 노드들은 부모 노드와 자식 노드와 QoS/QoE를 보장해 주어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 오버레이 멀티캐스트 트리의 QoS/QoE를 보장하기 위해 Bandwith를 측정하여 Out-degree Level을 조절하는 Dynamic Degree Change 기법을 적용한 실시간 오버레이 멀티캐스트 비디오 스트리밍 시스템을 모델링하였다.

  • 가정용 가전제품의 전력사용량을 절감하기 위한 방법은 인력과 ICT 융합형 관리시스템으로 가능하다. 인력에 의한 방안은 사용하지 않는 가전제품의 코드를 매번 콘센트와 분리하여야 하는 번거로움이있어 효과가 있음에도 활용도가 낮았다. 반면에 통합관리스템은 전체 가전제품을 원격으로 관리할 수 있도록 하나의 네트워크로 묶어 모니터링하고 관리하는 기술을 구현해야 하는 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 스마트 플러그와 IPTV를 이용하여 대기전력의 차단과 사용량을 절감하기 위한 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 통해 소요되는 비용을 최소화하고 이용은 편리하게 하여 성과를 높이고자 한다.

  • 최근 고품질 방송콘텐츠 보호에 대한 요구가 증가하면서 DVB, MPEG, ATSC 등 국제표준단체에서는 보안 성능이 우수한 디지털방송 보호규격으로써 DVB-CSA ver.3에 대한 논의가 본격화되었다. 본 논문에서는 디지털방송에서 보안성능이 우수한 것으로 알려진 방송콘텐츠 암호화 규격인 DVB-CSA ver. 3 표준규격을 기반으로한 방송콘텐츠 스크램블링 시스템 설계에 대해 소개한다.

  • 멀티미디어 기기의 발달과 인터넷의 확산 등의 영향으로 디지털 콘텐츠의 제작 및 유통이 일반화되면서 시장 활성화가 되었지만 불법복제로 인한 시장에 악영향도 미치고 있다. 그리하여 DRM이란 정보보호 기술이 일반화되고 그 기능이 중요하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 데이터 전체를 암호화하는 방식의 DRM 시스템과는 달리 H.264/AVC의 특성을 이용하여 콘텐츠의 일부만을 암호화하여 서버에 최소한의 영향을 주면서 영상을 전송할 수 있는 효과적인 DRM 시스템을 제안하였다.
