Web2.0의 고도화와 소셜미디어의 진화에 따라 웹 기반 콘텐츠에 대한 다양한 활용이 시도되고 있다. 또한, IPTV 부분에서는 기존의 TV기반에서 Web기반, Mobile기반 서비스로 확산되고 있다. 이러한 멀티디바이스 환경과 웹기반 콘텐츠의 IPTV 활용 서비스를 위해서는 콘텐츠에 대한 정의와 이를 표현하기 위한 메타데이터에 대한 정의가 필요하다. 이를 위해서 관련 표준화 단체를 분석한 후 이들이 제공하는 콘텐츠 메타데이터의 연관관계를 비교 분석하였다. IPTV 서비스를 위한 콘텐츠 메타데이터는 TV AnyTime Phase1 을 바탕으로 각 표준기구의 네트워크 상황과 서비스 방식에 따라 선택적으로 적용하고 있으며, VOD 서비스를 위해서는 CableLab의 ADI 메타데이터를 적용하고 있다. 향후 멀티디바이스 환경에서 IPTV 서비스를 위해서는 메타데이터에 대한 확장 연구가 필요하다.

최근 인터넷의 급속한 발전은 초고속 인터넷망을 이용해 양방향 텔레비전 서비스의 IPTV에 대한 연구 및 상용화를 촉진하고 있다. IPTV는 초고속 인터넷망을 기반으로 다양한 콘텐츠 및 부가 서비스를 제공하는 방송 통신 융합 서비스중의 하나이다. 그러나 콘텐츠의 재사용에 따른 디바이스의 안전한 보안 서비스를 제공하지 않을 경우 비즈니스 모델의 상용화에 많은 보안 취약성이 발생할 수 있어 이를 위한 연구가 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기존의 IPTV에서 적용되고 있는 카드 기반의 취약성을 보완하고 비 실시간 IPTV 서비스를 위한 자동화된 재사용 콘텐츠의 멀티 에이전트 시스템인 IDAM-AS를 기반으로 디바이스의 안전한 초기 등록과 인증 과정을 제안한다. 제안 방식은 분산된 에이전트를 관리할 수 있는 IDAM-AS를 정의하고 이를 이용해 사용자의 최소의 정보 입력을 통해 재사용 콘텐츠에 대한 자동화된 서비스가 이루어지도록 하였다.

최근 초고속 인터넷의 급속한 발달로 IP 기반의 융합 서비스가 빠르게 발전하고 있다. 특히 방송 및 영상 분배 기능이 대두되면서 보안 서비스에 대한 요구사항도 급격히 증가하고 있다. 과거 아날로그 방송에서는 영상을 변조(scramble)하여 보내고 대응 복조기를 이용하여 정당한 가입자만 시청할 수 있도록 하는 기술을 사용한 반면 최근 융합 서비스인 IPTV 방송 시스템에서는 과거의 변조 방식이 IP의 개방형이라는 특징때문에 사용에 한계점을 보이고 있다. 이는 인터넷의 다양한 공격(man-in-the-middleattack, TCP-hijacking) 기술이 IPTV에서도 가능하기 때문이다. 본 고에서는 IPTV 환경에서 연구되고 있는 보안 서비스 기술에 대해서 정리하고 IPTV 서비스를 위한 적용 기술 및 표준화 중심의 대표적인 연구 사례들을 소개한다.

Because of the convergence between Internet and broadcast communication, users are able to use multimedia contents anytime. In addition, with the change of existing one-way service to two-way service, the provider can offer efficient and useful broadcast communication. However, As multimedia contents is provided by STB, it can validate only end-node STB. Thus, this method is limiting possibilities of individual service. Also, providers' STB are different, so problem of compatibility is emerging as an issue. Therefore, in this paper we proposed STB virtualization based enhanced IPTV user authentication system to improve individual authentication and compatibility of services.

This study analyzes appropriate government policy frameworks for promoting IPTV industry by studying the way of adoption and diffusion of IPTV services. Until recently, most researches on government policies for technology adoption have focused on the personal context. This research adopts two theories, i.e., innovation characteristics theory for personal context and implementation process theory for organizational context. It also hypothesizes that the innovation characteristics more influence on the behavioral intention for usage new media in the level of personal innovativeness is high. Moreover, in the level of expectancy for diffusion policy is high, the implementation of IPTV services more influences on the behavioral intention. The results by statistical analysis, it is found that the higher the level of personal innovativeness is, and the higher the level of expectancy for diffusion policy is, the more behavioral intention will be influenced by the characteristics of innovation and implementation of IPTV service. Thus it is important for government agencies to find the way to facilitate personal innovativeness as well as expectancy for diffusion policy.

IPTV, 인터넷 전화 등 인터넷 가입자에게 제공되는 서비스가 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며, 서비스 종류의 증가와 동시에 통신 사업자가 제공하는 네트워크 속도의 향상에도 불구하고 서비스 사용자의 불만이 증가하고 있다. 이러한 불만의 원인은 인터넷을 이용하는 모든 서비스가 네트워크 자원을 공유하기 때문에 특정 서비스의 품질을 확보하지 못하는 현상의 발생에 기인한다. 따라서 인터넷 사업자의 입장에서는 인터넷을 이용하여 다양한 서비스가 이루어지지만, 해당 서비스의 품질을 확보하는 것이 중요한 과제로 등장하였다. 본 논문에서는 IPTV 서비스 환경과 유사한 실험망 환경을 구축하고, HD급 영상 데이터를 멀티캐스트스트리밍 방송 서비스를 통해 네트워크상에서 트래픽 부하에 따른 IPTV 수신영상품 질의 변화를 살펴보고, 영상품질에 따른 네트워크 측정요소의 임계치를 도출한다.

IPTV is referred to the service which provide integrated IPTV services for providing video, 10/100-Mbit/sec Internet, voice, video-on-demand (VOD), and other broadband applications including home security, video conferencing, and telemedicine. All services are integrated into an IP (Internet Protocol) architecture designed specifically for Gigabit Ethernet FTTH systems, HFC or xDLC. It is absolutely necessary that telecon operators provide IP video delivery platforms that enable service providers to transform their business. With their own products, they can better manage their existing services and generate new revenues from broadcast TV, movies on demand and multimedia. Triple-play is a combination of broadcast, telephony and broadband services offered through IPTV networks. With cable operators allowed to offer a triple-play bundle, the nation's telecom operators are beginning to get a little anxious. Cable operators assert that triple-play is a must-have and natural extension of the cable service bundle. The Korean Cable TV Association asserts that the triple-play model is of paramount importance to the cable industry's future growth. But the telecom sector considers itself unfairly disadvantaged, saying they cannot compete until regulatory issues are resolved. The start of web-based television in Korea may still be some time off with a confrontation between the nation's IT regulator and broadcasting sector over the service's legal boundaries shows no signs of being resolved my time soon. korea should be is the fastest-growing provider of IPTV solutions in the industry, with over worldwide customers.

방송통신융합의 핵심으로 자리잡은 IPTV는 통신서비스와 방송산업의 경계를 허무는 동시에 새로운 시장을 형성하고 있다. 세계최고의 초고속 인터넷 망을 보유하고 있는 우리나라는 방송통신 융합규제에 묶여 IPTV분야가 상당기간 답보상태에 있었다. 반면 해외시장은 2008년에 2,500만 가입자를 넘어설 정도로 커지고 있는데 국내 IPTV공급업자들의 해외시장 진출 전략에 대한 국내 연구가 부족한 것이 문제이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내의 IPTV시장 답보상태에서도 IPTV의 필수 구성요소인 셋톱박스, CA/DRM, 미들웨어, 네트워크장비, 요금청구 플랫폼 등을 개발한 국내 IPTV공급업체들이 성공적으로 해외에 진출하기 위한 전략을 세우고 최적의 비즈니스를 펼칠 수 있도록 하는 요인을 발굴하여 글로벌전략 모델을 제시하고자 한다.

According to the IT839 strategy which was announced by the Ministry of Information and Communication(MIC) in 2004, the convergence trend of the broadcasting and the communication would be much more promoted. Thus, the methods for protecting the broadcasting contents will be indispensible elements for the successful IPTV service achievement. This paper describes the characteristics of IPTV and the related contents protection techniques. To evaluate several security issues, we suggest a security model for IPTV, and speculate the most widespread, two security technologies for IPTV such as CAS and DRM.

This study analyzes empirically main factors of willingness-to-pay for mobile IPTV emphasized as a key service in mobile environment. By structure equation analysis, the results shows that service diversity has influence on usefulness and service quality influences both usefulness and ease-to-use. Secondly, usability has positive impact on attitude and satisfaction. Thirdly, attitude and satisfaction influence willingness-to-pay. These result mean that quality assurance(ex, QoS) and improvement of usability are essential for revenue improvement revenue in mobile IPTV. And also this study can give empirical implications for service portfolio, pricing and bundling strategy as a leading study for mobile IPTV.
