To provide IPTV service successfully, we have to guarantee quality of service (QoS). However, in IPTV service, when we change channels, channel zapping delay will cause lower subscriber's satisfaction. Also, we can not provide IPTV service efficiently by limited bandwidth problem. In this paper, we propose a new enhanced IPTV transmission scheme to solve the two types problems using RACR (Robust Aggregation Control Router) which can control bandwidth and channel zapping time.

IPTV는 방통융합의 대표적인 매체로 자리 매김하며 2008년 상용서비스를 시작으로 계속 진화하고 있다. 그러나, 초기 서로 다른 방식으로 IPTV 서비스를 시작함으로 인해 상호운용성 문제가 대두 됨에 따라, TTA를 통해 IPTV 분야의 표준화가 시작되어 현재도 다양한 IPTV 분야의 기 제정된 표준의 개정 작업 및 신규 분야의 표준화를 계속 추진하고 있다. 이렇듯 표준화가 진행됨에 따라, IPTV 단말의 사업자 간의 이동성을 보장하기 위한 노력이 계속되고 있으며, 그 중 하나로 IPTV 단말 프로비저닝 절차 표준화가 추진되어 현재까지 2번의 개정 작업을 통해 표준안의 보완/수정 작업 등이 진행되어 2차 개정판이 완료되었다. 이에 TTA에서는 해당 표준을 구현한 STB 등 단말과 서버에 대한 표준적합성 시험을 위한 시험규격을 개발하였다. IPTV 단말 프로비저닝 절차 표준에서는 단말의 네트워크 접속부터 펌웨어/소프트웨어 업그레이드, IPTV 서비스를 탐색하기 위한 정보 전달을 위한 절차를 정의하고 있으며, 각 절차별 데이터 형식 및 프로토콜을 검증하기 위한 시험항목을 개발하였으며, 표준안 검증 및 시험 서비스 제공을 위한 시험환경을 구축하였다.

IPTV 는 대표적인 방송통신융합 산업으로 IT 망의 양방향성을 이용한 서비스의 차별화를 내세우며 여러 사업자에 의해 서비스가 이루어지고 있다. 기존 유선 통신망을 중심으로 제공되어 왔던 IPTV 서비스는 최근 모바일 환경 등으로 그 영역을 확대하기 위해 연구가 진행되고 있으며, 다른 한편으로는 IPTV 서비스를 위한 플랫폼 등을 개방하여 사업자가 아닌 일반인도 IPTV 를 통한 방송을 할 수 있는 구조인 Open IPTV 에 대한 연구가 활발하다. 이러한 Open IPTV 환경에서는 다수의 컨텐츠 제공자가 존재하기 때문에 기존 IPTV 에서 사용 되는 특정 기기 혹은 스마트카드를 통한 사용자 인증 및 키 분배가 어려운 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 Open IPTV 환경에서 안전한 컨텐츠 전송을 위한 사용자 인증 및 키 분배 시스템을 제안하고자 한다.

2009년 12월 말에 가입자가 170만 명을 넘어서면서 IPTV 서비스는 대표적인 방송통신 융합서비스로 새로운 발전을 거듭해 가고 있다. IPTV 서비스의 확산 및 산업 활성화를 위해 다양한 포럼, 지역표준기구들을 중심으로 IPTV 기술 표준화가 진행되고 있으며, 범세계적인 글로벌 표준을 제정하기 위해 ITU-T가 IPTV-GSI를 구성하여 활발한 표준화 작업을 추진하고 있다. 본 고에서는 ITU-T, ATIS, ETSI, DVB, OIPF 등 영향력 있는 대표적인 표준기구에서 추진되고 있는 IPTV 표준기술 동향 및 표준 제정 현황에 대해 소개한다.

A lot of attention for IPTV service has increased in a Mobile Environment. Also popularity of smart-phone, streaming service, a lot of content is actively shaping the market. These service provide users with guaranteed quality of service. There are important quality in a mobile IPTV provides users with a seamless quality of the streaming service can be viewed as a split. Research on improving the quality of services cropped, but to prevent dropouts research using multi-interface is not widely work. In this paper, we suggest that mobile IPTV service based multi-interface.

2007년 12월 28일 ‘인터넷멀티미디어방송사업법(안)’이 국회 본회의를 통과함으로써 2008년 4월 18일 동법이 효력을 발휘하게 되었다. IPTV 상용화를 위한 기본 틀이 정해짐에 따라 시행령과 허가지침 등의 제정을 통해 2008년 6월경에는 본격적인 IPTV 서비스가 제공될 것으로 보인다. 미디어 규제정책이나 IPTV의 성장에 비해 시장에서 뒤늦게 출발하기는 하였지만 IPTV를 시작으로 하는 우리나라 미디어 융합 시장은 크게 발전할 것으로 전망된다. 분석결과에 따르면, 낙관적인 관점에서 볼 때 2008년부터 2012년까지 IPTV 가입자는 496만 가구, 매출액은 1조 2,876억 원, 생산유발효과는 10조 1,750억 원, 고용효과는 5만 6천 여 명이 될 것으로 보인다. 지금까지는 IPTV가 미디어 융합을 주도하였지만, 향후에는 보다 새로운 서비스가 미디어 융합을 촉진.발전시킬 것이다. 4G와 NGN 기반의 신규서비스, Web 2.0 TV 기반의 창의적인 비즈니스 모델, 임베디드 미디어 서비스 등 향후 나타나게 될 새로운 미디어 서비스의 발전을 위해 미래지향적인 미디어 정책과 규제프레임을 갖추어 나가는 것이 무엇보다 중요한 시점이 되고 있다.

본 연구에서는 IPTV를 이용한 전자정부 민원 서비스를 제공하기 위한 서비스 제공 로드맵 수립과 관련 기술들을 조사 하였다. 이를 위해 국내외 로드맵 수립 관련 연구들을 정리하고 IPTV를 기반으로 전자민원 서비스를 제공하기 위한 로드맵 수립 방안을 제시 하였다. 또한 IPTV기반으로 제공하고자 하는 전자민원서비스를 이용빈도와 복잡성에 따라서 정보제공형, 상호작용형, 거래처리형으로 분류하고, 각서비스 유형별로 필요한 기술들을 제시 하였다. 이를 기반으로 전자정부 서비스를 IPTV기반으로 제공하기 위한 서비스 로드맵을 도출하였다.

To boost the IPTV industry, it has being considered to provide terminal portability from one service provider to another for users. If the terminal portability is guaranteed, then a service user can purchase an IPTV terminal in a market and select an IPTV service provider. For this, the IPTV terminal should process a series of pre-configuration, so called provisioning procedure. Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) established the standard of IPTV terminal provisioning procedure, TTAK.KO-08.0026. In this paper, we explain the revised standard TTAK.KO-08.0026/R2, and introduce the architecture, functions, operating procedures and parameters of the IPTV terminal provisioning system that we implemented based on it. Finally, we discuss the future issues of the standard of the IPTV terminal provisioning procedure.

By employing the subscriber concept in broadcasting services, IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) operators provide various grades of services to subscribers based on the billing level of the subscribers. With the income from subscribers for a basis, IPTV operators plan to provide high quality services. Since Web browser-based IPTV provides T-commerce and E-commerce services as well as television services, users may frequently visit other service domains to buy goods or content. To provide the user with charged or private services, these service domains request authentication of user. The existing authentication system is not appropriate for the IPTV service environment because the environment unavoidably forces the user to cross from one authentication-based service domain to another. Single sign-on provides a user with transparent authentication services by enabling an authenticated user to move between authentication-based service domains without any re-authentication. Like this distributed environment, since the IPTV service environment also provides a variety of authentication-based services, transparent authentication service needs to be provided to subscribers who want to access charged or private services. In this paper, we propose a new user authentication scheme for the IPTV environment. This scheme integrates the Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), which is a standard for XML-based single sign on. We validate this scheme using a simple use case scenario.

네트워크 기술의 발전과 하드웨어의 발전으로 인해 많은 네트워크 응용 서비스 기술이 등장하고 있다. 이 중에서도 IPTV 와 같은 멀티미디어 스트리밍 기술은 그 수요에 의해 기하급수적으로 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 만족할만한 IPTV 서비스를 제공해 주기 위해서는 안정적인 네트워크 자원의 확보가 필수적이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 IPTV 서비스를 위한 네트워크 자원 확보를 위해 기존의 AVB 기술을 기반으로 하여 안정적인 QoS 를 보장하는 방법을 제안한다. IPTV 서비스에 해당하는 각 트래픽에 대한 대역폭 예약 방법과, 대역폭 예약 실패 상황에 대해 처리할 수 있는 개선된 MSRP를 이용하여 IPTV 서비스의 QoS 를 보장하고자 한다. 본 논문의 성능 평가를 위해 OPNET 을 이용하여 기존 방법들에 대한 시간동기의 정확성, 트래픽의 단대단지연, 네트워크 자원 활용률을 측정하였다.
