  • Recently, researches to adopt Content-centric network (CCN), which is one of the promising technologies for replacing TCP/IP-based networks, to wireless networks has actively performed. However, because of erroneous and unreliable channel characteristics, there are many problems to be resolved to adopt CCN to wireless networks. This paper proposes a method to reduce content download time because nodes possess only parts of content chunks. The proposed method enables a node having parts of content chunks to request the rest of parts of content chunks to a provider before a Consumer requests the content. As a consequence, the content download time is reduced.

  • WSN gateway which runs transmission between WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) based on IEEE 802.15.4 and PN (Public Network) based on TCP/IP belongs to core technology of application based on two network. Because WSN Gateway receives various kinds of packet from many sensor nodes in an uncertain time as well as uses hardware's performance enough, it has high level of complexity about software and it is hard to be implemented. To solve these problems, this paper suggests both efficient event detection scheme for identify packet and implementation unit of protocol called 'Transaction'. The results of applying the proposed network framework, complexity of software reduces. And we provide software development environments of reflect various performance requirements.

  • In this paper, existing technology that uses broadcasting and multicasting IP addrsses at the wireless access network, based on Internet as a core network, is upgraded. By employing broadcasting service request by receivers, convergence of multicasting and broadcasting, and lower level filtering of broadcast data, the load and traffic of network, server, base station, and receiver is substantially reduced. The technology proposed in this paper could be useful for general broadcasting services, and especially optimum for LBS and Telematics services.

  • IP paging strategy, one of the solutions for derived problems in IP mobility support protocol, reduces the messages and the overheads over the network, since there is not registration procedure when a mobile terminal moves into a new router within the same paging area. However, the fact that the mobile terminals with the previous strategy consume electrical power continuously for paging signal reception obstructs the application of IP paging strategy to the IP-based wireless sensor networks. In this paper, we propose a discontinuous paging reception strategy based on the characteristics of the wireless sensor networks and their mobile terminals. As a result of the mathematical analysis, the proposed strategy significantly reduces the terminals' power consumption. In addition, by setting the relating parameters as appropriate values, the proposed strategy can be switched to the continuous reception strategy, or can be adjusted to limit the terminals' power consumption or paging delay.

  • When supporting both voice and TCP in a wireless multihop network, there are two conflicting goals: to protect the VoIP traffic, and to completely utilize the remaining capacity for TCP. We investigate the interaction between these two popular categories of traffic and find that conventional solution approaches, such as enhanced TCP variants, priority queues, bandwidth limitation, and traffic shaping do not always achieve the goals. TCP and VoIP traffic do not easily coexist because of TCP aggressiveness and data burstiness, and the (self-) interference nature of multihop traffic. We found that enhanced TCP variants fail to coexist with VoIP in the wireless multihop scenarios. Surprisingly, even priority schemes, including those built into the MAC such as RTS/CTS or 802.11e generally cannot protect voice, as they do not account for the interference outside communication range. We present VAGP (Voice Adaptive Gateway Pacer) - an adaptive bandwidth control algorithm at the access gateway that dynamically paces wired-to-wireless TCP data flows based on VoIP traffic status. VAGP continuously monitors the quality of VoIP flows at the gateway and controls the bandwidth used by TCP flows before entering the wireless multihop. To also maintain utilization and TCP performance, VAGP employs TCP specific mechanisms that suppress certain retransmissions across the wireless multihop. Compared to previous proposals for improving TCP over wireless multihop, we show that VAGP retains the end-to-end semantics of TCP, does not require modifications of endpoints, and works in a variety of conditions: different TCP variants, multiple flows, and internet delays, different patterns of interference, different multihop topologies, and different traffic patterns.

  • In this paper, we propose for improving QoS in hospital wireless network using Cellular-IP/PRC(Paging Route Cache) with Paging Cache and Route Cache in Cellular-IP. Although the Cellular-IP/PRC technology is devised for mobile internet communication, it has its vulnerability in frequent handoff environment. This handoff state machine using differentiated handoff improves quality of services in Cellular-IP/PRC. Suggested algorithm shows better performance than existing technology in wireless mobile internet communication environment. When speech quality is secured considering increment of interference to receive in case of suppose that proposed acceptance method grooves base radio station capacity of transfer node is plenty, and most of contiguity cell transfer node was accepted at groove base radio station with a blow, groove base radio station new trench lake acceptance method based on transmission of a message electric power estimate of transfer node be. Do it so that may apply composing PC(Paging Cache) and RC(Routing Cache) that was used to manage paging and router in radio Internet network in integral management and all nodes as one PRC(Paging Router Cache), and add hand off state machine in transfer node so that can manage hand off of transfer node and Roaming state efficiently, and studies so that achieve connection function at node. Analyze benevolent person who influence on telephone traffic in system environment and forecasts each link currency rank and imbalance degree, forecast most close and important lake interception probability and lake falling off probability, GoS(Grade of Service), efficiency of cell capacity in QoS because applies algorithm proposing based on algorithm use gun send-receive electric power that judge by looking downward link whether currency book was limited and accepts or intercept lake and handles and displays QoS performance improvement.

  • Ongoing standardization effort on 3G cellular system in 3GPP (UNTS) is based on GPRS core network and promises a global standard for systems capable of offering ubiquitous access to internet for mobile users. Considered radio access systems(FDD CDMA, TDD CDMA, and EDGE) are optimized for robust mobile use. However, there are alternative relatively high-rate radio interfaces being standardized for WLAN (IEEE802.11 and HIPER-LAN/2) which are capable of delivering significantly higher data rates to static or semi-static terminals with much less overhead. Also WPANs(BLUETOOTH, IEEE802.15), which will be present in virtually every mobile handset in the near future, are offering low cast and considerable access data rate and thus are very attractive for interworking scenarios. The prospect of using these interfaces as alternative RANs inthe modular UMTS architecture is very promising. Additionally, the recent inclusion of M-IP in the UMTS R99 standard opens the way for IP-level interfacing to the core network. This article offers an overview into WLAN-Cellular interworking. A brief overview of GPRS, UMTS cellular architectures and relevant WLAN standards is given. Possible interworking architectures are presented.

  • In this paper, we propose the next-generation broadband wireless access network architecture, which is based on the wavelength division multiplexing-passive optical network(WDM-PON), and efficient mobility management scheme to support quality-of-service(QoS) of multimedia services in the next-generation wireless network. By adapting WDM-PON technology to wireless access network, the proposed scheme can realize broadband wireless access network. In addition, We utilize newly proposed local channels between optical network units(ONUs) or subnets in order to support the fast and efficient local data and handoff data transmission. We evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme in terms of handoff delay and packet loss thru computer simulation. Thru various computer simulation results, we verified the superior performance of the proposed scheme by comparing with the results of other schemes.
