  • The standardization for Seamless IP Mobility between heterogeneous networks is being progressed according to each specific purpose of the organizations such as ITU-T (International Telecommunications Union - Telecommunication), 3GPP(3rd Generation Partnership Project), IETF(Internet Engineering Task Force), and IEEE(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers). [1] Specially VCC (Voice Call Continuity) for seamless voice continuity between heterogeneous networks using IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) of the next generation platform is being introduced into a few companies, and also MIH (Media Independent Handover) and MIP (Mobile IP) for IP mobility between heterogeneous networks are being customized by their internal situation. This article describes the idea to support IP Mobility between heterogeneous networks in the network which IMS platform is deployed and only supports the mobility for the voice by the type of AS (Application Server).

  • In this paper, a fast handoff algorithm between PDSNs in 3GPPx network for a mobile node, is proposed. It introduces a method by which handoff can be performed without reestablishing PPP connection that may occur in the process of performing handoff between PDSNs. When the PDSN recognizes the mobile node moving into its coverage area, it can quickly establish a communication channel with the mobile node based on the already received subscriber information. As a result, handoff is performed without reestablishing PPP. Accordingly, handoff between PDSNs can be performed faster, removing time needed for establishing a PPP session with a terminal and for terminating a previously set up PPP session.

  • In the area of mobile communication, Location Based Services (LBS) using the location of mobile terminal to provide their services are rapidly spreading as communication network and terminal evolves. Despite the LBS are highly demanded in high speed internet area, the services are very rare due to the difficulty locating terminals. In this paper, we propose the method to locate terminals in real time and describe its implementation system. The proposed system is designed to collect the information in real time for more than a terminal connecting internet. And, the system shows high performancecollecting and generating location information through simulation tests.

  • In ubiquitous computing environments, which can be connected to the networks any time any where, wearable computers frequently will be changed their network connection point. Therefore, the demand of the mobility support service becomes more important. The mobility support mechanism allows a wearable computer to continue the existing services without the modification for the network configuration of wearable computer even if wearable computer changes the network connection point during its moving. In this paper, we design the component based middlewear for the mobility supports of wearable computers, propose the method of the mobility support service. This method tunnels the existing data to wearable computer using Mobile IP protocol even if a wearable computer moves to other network after recomposing dynamically the mobility support component in wearable middlewear.

  • We propose a tree-based integration of infrastructure networks and MANETs (TUM) to efficiently extend the scope of mobile Internet protocol to mobile ad hoc networks and devise a tree-based routing protocol (TBRP) that is suitable for the TUM architecture. Infrastructure networks have a number of fixed Internet Gateways that connect two heterogeneous networks. Mobile nodes form a number of small trees named pMANETs, each of them growing from anchor node which can communicate directly with an Internet Gateway. A new node registers with foreign agent and home agent along the tree path without resorting to an inefficient flooding. Furthermore, the TBRP sets up a routing path efficiently by exploiting the tree information without relying on flooding. We show by resorting to simulation that our approach is competitive against the conventional AODV based approach.

  • In this paper, we propose a signaling protocol which can support QoS for multimedia applications continuously after handover of a mobile node in the network environment where IP-based wireless access networks co-exist. Since existing RSVP-based signaling protocols can cause the waste of network resources due to double reservation and do not provide fast resource reservation/release, they are not suitable for mobile networks. The proposed QoS signaling protocol can support QoS for multimedia applications using the fast reservation of necessary resources after handover and avoid the waste of resources by resolving the double reservation problem. This paper presents design and implementation architectures of the proposed signaling protocol and analyzes its performance via a physical testbed. Based on the analysis results, it was shown that the proposed protocol is able to support seamless QoS for multimedia applications.

  • In a mobile ad hoc network, difficulties exist in supporting address autoconfiguration and naming resolution due to the lack of centralized servers. This letter presents a novel approach, called name-based autoconfiguration (NBA), which uses host names to determine IP addresses and provides address autoconfiguration and name resolution as a single protocol.

  • Full-mesh IPSec tunnels pass through a black ("unsecure") network (B-NET) to any red ("secure") networks (RNETs). These are needed in military environments, because they enable dynamically changing R-NETs to be reached from a BNET. A dynamically reconfiguring security policy database (SPD) is very difficult to manage, since the R-NETs are mobile. This paper proposes advertisement process technologies in association with the tunnel gateway's protocol that sends 'hello' and 'prefix advertisement (ADV)' packets periodically to a multicast IP address to solve mobility and security issues. We focus on the tunnel gateway's security policy (SP) adaptation protocol that enables R-NETs to adapt to mobile environments and allows them to renew services rapidly soon after their redeployment. The prefix ADV process enables tunnel gateways to gather information associated with the dynamic changes of prefixes and the tunnel gateway's status (that is, 'down'/restart). Finally, we observe two different types of performance results. First, we explore the effects of different levels of R-NET movements on SP adaptation latency. Next, we derive the other SP adaptation latency. This can suffer from dynamic deployments of tunnel gateways, during which the protocol data traffic associated with the prefix ADV protocol data unit is expected to be severe, especially when a certain tunnel gateway restarts.

  • The IMS is an architectural control framework for delivering IP multimedia services such as voice, video, audio and data, the IMS supports not only the mobile communication system but also the existing wired and wireless network based on IP. The network that is integrated by the IMS needs policy-based network management protocol for managing the limited network resources to provide efficient multimedia service. The IMS use additional device called PDF for efficient resource management, but the PDF only uses diameter which is one of the network management protocol such as SNMP and COPS. Many devices use various protocol to manage the limited network resources. There is an algorithm using a variety of protocols such as Diameter, COPS and SNMP to handle the resources management efficiently. We also analyze the performance using the proposed algorithm in the implemented IMS environment.

  • In this paper, we propose for improving QoS in hospital wireless network using Cellular-IP/PRC(Paging Route Cache) with Paging Cache and Route Cache in Cellular-IP. Although the Cellular-IP/PRC technology is devised for mobile internet communication, it has its vulnerability in frequent handoff environment. This handoff state machine using differentiated handoff improves quality of services in Cellular-IP/PRC. Suggested algorithm shows better performance than existing technology in wireless mobile internet communication environment. When speech quality is secured considering increment of interference to receive in case of suppose that proposed acceptance method grooves base radio station capacity of transfer node is plenty, and most of contiguity cell transfer node was accepted at groove base radio station with a blow, groove base radio station new trench lake acceptance method based on transmission of a message electric power estimate of transfer node be. Do it so that may apply composing PC(Paging Cache) and RC(Routing Cache) that was used to manage paging and router in radio Internet network in integral management and all nodes as one PRC(Paging Router Cache), and add hand off state machine in transfer node so that can manage hand off of transfer node and Roaming state efficiently, and studies so that achieve connection function at node. Analyze benevolent person who influence on telephone traffic in system environment and forecasts each link currency rank and imbalance degree, forecast most close and important lake interception probability and lake falling off probability, GoS(Grade of Service), efficiency of cell capacity in QoS because applies algorithm proposing based on algorithm use gun send-receive electric power that judge by looking downward link whether currency book was limited and accepts or intercept lake and handles and displays QoS performance improvement.
