TCP(Transmission Control Protocol)는 전통적인 네트웍에서 잘 동작하는 신뢰성 있는 연결지향성 전송프로토콜이다.

The research related to the mobility support in the Internet can he classified into two fields. One is Macro mobility and the other is Micro mobility In case of \lacro Mobility, the standard, RFC 2002 by IETF is getting focused. But for Micro mobility, a variety of strategies have been discussed. In this paper. we introduce the concept of an LA and propose the strategy that makes it possible for the LA to fully concern frequent local handoff without using the HA. Therefore we can limit the longest handoH delay to a certain degree regardless of the distance between the MN and the HA of the MN. For the registration cost and the packet drop probability due to the registration delay, we prove the performance enhancement of the existing Mobile IP in case that we apply the concept of the LA to existing Mobile IP.

Various schemes for mobility are currently studied in ITU-T, 3GPP, IETF, and so on. Mobility support in NGN for seamless service is necessarily required. Currently proposed mechanisms are MIPv6, $IP^2$, and Q.MMF. However the performance comparison of all existing schemes is not examined as yet. That is, the existing methods need to be compared according to each performance parameter. So, in this paper, we investigate and compare the performances of MIPv6, $IP^2$, Q.MMF to location registration. In addition, this paper presents the performance comparison of handover latency times. For this, we use NS-2 simulator. As a result of analysis, $IP^2$ shown the best performance as it is measured the minimum time and cost. And it has low handover latency time in comparison with other mechanisms.

As the set of new mobile data networking service technologies, such as WiBro, mobile WiMAX and WCDMA-HSDPA, have been introduced in recent years, IP mobility management protocols which aim to provide seamless IP service over the mobile networking environment become one of the important building blocks for the successful mobile networks. IETF has introduced a basic mobility management protocol over IPv6 (MIPv6) and a set of enhanced protocols such as FMIPv6 and HMIPv6, followed by FHMIPv6, S-MIPv6 and HIMIPv6 which combine the benefits of the basic protocols. We have studied the impact of the various IP mobility management protocols over TCP sessions through extensive simulations with ns-2. Our simulation results show that TCP performance with the HIMIPv6 outperforms MIPv6, FMIPv6 and HMIPv6 over the various TCP protocols, due to its efficient combination of the hierarchical mobility management scheme of the HMIPv6, the predictive handover scheme of the FMIPv6 and the fast simulcasting scheme of the S-MIP.
[ $IP^2$ ] (IP-based IMT Network Platform) is a ubiquitous platform supporting mobility using two step If address IPha (IP host address) and IPra (IP routing address) - in a backbone network. MN (Mobile Node) in $IP^2$ maintains either Active or Dormant state, which is transferred to Active state through Paging process when communication is required. In this paper, we proposed a Paging method using proxy to resolve the problem of the conventional Paging method which transmits the Paging messages to all cells in LA (Location Area) resulting in the excessive use of network resources. Performanceevaluation of the proposed method using NS-2 showed that the usage of network resources becomes more efficient by reducing paging loads, especially under the condition of increased nodes.

RSVP was published as a resource reservation protocol to guarantee QoS for realtime applications in wired network environments. As mobile application services in wireless network environments are more popular, QoS guaranteeing problem becomes an important issue in mobile computing environments. Therefore, the researches about cooperation between RSVP and Mobile IP supporting mobility in mobile computing environments are activating today. In this paper, we propose I-MRSVP(Integrated-Mobile RSVP), a QoS guaranteed resource reservation protocol supporting the integrated mobility in mobile computing environments. I-MRSVP protocol supports the integrated mobility providing interoperability between Mobile IP-based macro cells and Cellular IP-based micro cells. To minimize resource reservation overheads, it provides efficient resource reservation functions by using the signal strength based predictive resource reservation scheme.
In recent years, there has been increased to access multimedia service through the Internet due to rise of the access speed. We suppose the co-existence of the various access networks in adjacent area in the future, such as wireless LAN, Bluetooth, and 3G Cellular So, the size of the cell will be smaller and the number of access point will be increased. In other words, the potable devices need the efficient mobility scheme due to move between cells frequently Currently, the several of the scheme, which is Cellular IP, HAWAII, Mobile IPv4 regional registration, and hierarchical Mobile IPv6, is suggested to support micro-mobility but Mobile IPv4 is standard scheme to support the mobility of the mobile node. MPLS, which forwards the packet through switching instead of routing using IP address, has begun to deploy in the internet backbone to increase the performance of mobility protocol. The integration of both MPLS and Mobile IP improves the scalability of the Mobile IP data forwarding process by leveraging on the features MPLS which are fast switching and high scalability. Moreover it abbreviates IP-in-IP tunneling between HA and FA. In this paper, we suggest efficient mobility scheme through integration of both MPLS and hierarchical Mobile IPv6.

As the number of Mobile IP users is expected to grow, the signaling overhead associated with mobility management in the wireless Internet is bound to grow. And since the wireless link has far less bandwidth resources and limited scalability compared to the wired network link, the signaling overhead associated with mobility management has a severe effect on the wireless link. In this paper, we propose IP-Grouping algorithm that can greatly reduce the signaling cost in the wireless link as Access Routers(ARs) with a large rate of handoff are grouped into a Group Zone. Based on the numerical analysis and simulation, we show that the wireless signaling cost in the IP-Grouping is much lower than that of the Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 under various condition.
