The aim of this study is to develop a physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) model in intra-abdominal infected rats, and extrapolate it to human to predict moxifloxacin pharmacokinetics profiles in various tissues in intra-abdominal infected human. 12 male rats with intra- abdominal infections, induced by Escherichia coli, received a single dose of 40 mg/kg body weight of moxifloxacin. Blood plasma was collected at 5, 10, 20, 30, 60, 120, 240, 480, 1440 min after drug injection. A PBPK model was developed in rats and extrapolated to human using GastroPlus software. The predictions were assessed by comparing predictions and observations. In the plasma concentration versus time profile of moxifloxcinin rats, $C_{max}$ was $11.151{\mu}g/mL$ at 5 min after the intravenous injection and $t_{1/2}$ was 2.936 h. Plasma concentration and kinetics in human were predicted and compared with observed datas. Moxifloxacin penetrated and accumulated with high concentrations in redmarrow, lung, skin, heart, liver, kidney, spleen, muscle tissues in human with intra-abdominal infection. The predicted tissue to plasma concentration ratios in abdominal viscera were between 1.1 and 2.2. When rat plasma concentrations were known, extrapolation of a PBPK model was a method to predict drug pharmacokinetics and penetration in human. Moxifloxacin has a good penetration into liver, kidney, spleen, as well as other tissues in intra-abdominal infected human. Close monitoring are necessary when using moxifloxacin due to its high concentration distribution. This pathological model extrapolation may provide reference to the PK/PD study of antibacterial agents.

JVET (Joint Video Exploration Team) which explored evolving technologies of video coding with capabilities beyond HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding), released a references software codec named the Joint Exploration Model (JEM) for performance verification of coding technologies. JEM has 67 intra prediction modes that extend the 35 modes of HEVC for intra prediction. Therefore, the enhancement of the coding performance is limited due to the overhead of prediction mode coding. In this paper, we analyze the probabilities of prediction modes selections, and then we propose a more efficient intra prediction mode coding based on the results of analyzed mode occurrence. In addition, we propose a context modeling for CABAC (Context-Adaptive Binary Arithmetic Coding) of the proposed mode coding. Experimental results show that the BD-rate gain is 0.02% on the AI (All Intra) coding structure compared to JEM 7.0. We need to optimize context modeling for additional coding performance enhancement.
A large majority of clearwell must be modified with maintaining the present baffles since they were underground built with the material like concrete. Therefore it is unreasonable to apply the previous research in clearwell modification which is studied with the assumption that distance between baffles is constant. In this study, internal short-circuiting estimation method (ISEM), which has the advantage of being applied at any condition, is applied to evaluate modification of A clearwell and modify B and C clerwell which have unusual characteristics. After analyzing the hydraulic efficiency at current state, modifications, where baffles, intra basins and diffuser walls are additionally installed, are considered and evaluate using ISEM. And the effect of intra basin and diffuser wall on $T_{10}/T$ is estimated and application feasibility of ISEM is evaluated. The improvement of intra basins is almost same with that of baffles. Also, short-circuiting in effluent zone can be reduced with the same level of channel zone if intra basin is added in effluent zone. However, effect range is restricted to the next channel zone. Diffuser wall can obtain the lower ISI than minimum ISI of cases where baffles and intra basins are installed. Therefore, additional improvement of $T_{10}/T$ value can be expected after $T_{10}/T$ value converges maximum only using baffles
Purpose: This study evaluated the efficacy of an intra-articular injection of sodium hyaluronate in the treatment of early stage osteoarthritis of the ankle. Materials and Methods: Early stage ankle osteoarthritis (Takakura stage I and II) patients who received hyaluronic acid injection therapy were retrospectively reviewed. Patients underwent intra-articular injections of 2 mL of sodium hyaluronate for 3 consecutive weeks. Clinical evaluation and Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) scoring were performed at every three months after treatment. Results: Total 27 patients were involved and mean age was 55 year old (range 33 to 77 years). There were 13 male and 14 female patients. Mean follow up duration was 13 month and. Pre-intra-articular VAS score was $8.9{\pm}0.7$ and three month follow up score was $3.8{\pm}2.8$. VAS score of last follow up was $3.2{\pm}3.4$. The effect of hyaluronic acid continued about one year when analyzed the VAS score change of the patients followed for more than one year. Patients' satisfaction was "very satisfied" in nine, "satisfied" in 12, "fair" in one, and "not satisfied" in five patients. Overall satisfaction rate was 82%. There were no ankle osteoarthritis stage changes in serial follow up radiograph. Conclusion: Symptomatic relief of signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis of the ankle was achieved by injection of an intra-articular hyaluronate injection. Efficacy of Hyaluronate acid injection persisted more than 1 year in our study. Intra-articular hyaluronate injection to ankle osteoarthritis is safe and effective as knee joint and should be considered as a valid conservative treatment for ankle osteoarthritis.

In this paper, we proposed an effective hardware structure using DCT-based inra-prediction mode selection to reduce computational complexity caused by intra mode decision. In this hardware structure, the input block is transformed at first and then analyzed to determine its texture directional tendency. the complexity has solved by performing intra prediction in only predicted edge direction. $4{\times}4$ DCT is calculated in one cycle using Multitransform_PE and Inta_pred_PE calculates one prediction mode in two cycles. Experimental results show that the proposed Intra prediction encoding needs only 517 cycles for one macroblock encoding. This architecture improves the performance by about 17% than previous designs. For hardware implementation, the proposed intra prediction encoder is implemented using Verilog HDL and synthesized with Megnachip $0.18{\mu}m$ standard cell library. The synthesis results show that the proposed architecture can run at 125MHz.
H.264/MPEG-4 AVC is jointly developed by ITU-T and ISO/IEC. It provides efficient coding efficiency compared with previous video standards. It reduced the bit rate by approximately $30%{\sim}70%$ while providing the same or better image quality. And, H.264/MPEG-4 AVC supports not only lossy coding but also lossless coding. In this paper, we suggest a method to improve lossless coding efficiency. Proposed method is based on Intra residual DPCM, it has same effect with the prediction from spatially nearest pixel. Also, proposed method does not broken decoder pipe-line. Experimental results, the method reduced the bit rate by approximately 12% in comparison with the H.264 Intra lossless coding. As a result, it is adopted into the H.264/MPEG-4 AVC Advanced 4:4:4 profile.

For the improvement of coding efficiency, the H.264 standard uses new coding tools such as VBS, 1/4-pel accurate ME, multiple references, intra prediction, loop filter, etc. Using these coding tools, H.264 has achieved significant improvements from rate-distortion point of view compared to existing standards. However, the encoder complexity is greatly increased due to these coding tools. We focus on the complexity reduction method of intra-mode decision. Our algorithm first restricts selective prediction modes of Intra4x4 using a simple preprocessing. The prediction modes of Intra4x4 are used for restricting those of the other inter-modes. Simulation results show that the proposed method outperforms other conventional methods and save about 82% of total encoding time.

In H.264 standard, an intra frame is the first frame of a GOP (Group of Pictures) and all macroblocks of an intra frame are encoded using the same quantization parameter. In addition, an intra frame is used for encoding the following frames of the same GOP so the encoding results of an intra frame affect the encoding results of the entire GOP. Thus, it is important to find the optimal quantization parameter of an intra frame for improving the quality of a GOP. In this paper, we propose an searching method for an optimal quantization parameter of an intra frame in real time. The proposed method uses a gradient descent method to find the optimal value based on characteristics of the optimal quantization parameters. Experimental results show that the proposed method captures the characteristics of the optimal quantization parameter and accurately estimates the optimal value.

The types of the accidents caused by intra-city buses and the changing tendencies of driving attitudes are analyzed before-and-after semi-public management system of intra-city bus system is implemented. On the basis of analysis, the measures on the decrease of traffic accidents are considered and the results are as follows. First, it showed that the traffic accidents decreased generally as a result of definition of the progresses of traffic accidents of intra-city buses before-and-after the system is implemented and with the passing of time after the system was operated. Second, the factors which influence the decrease of traffic offenses before-and-after semi-public management system of intra-city bus are the decease of violation, safe driving duty and the job security. Also the cause which mostly influence to the decrease of traffic accidents is defined. Finally, the measures of decrease of traffic accidents are arranged and proposed as a result of PROXSCAL method.
Purpose: To review the impact of using intra-operative ultrasound guided breast conserving surgery with frozen sections on final pathological margin outcome with the current guidelines set forth by the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO) and the American Society of Surgical Oncology (ASTRO). Materials and Methods: A retrospective review including all cases of intra-operative ultrasound guided breast conserving surgery was performed at the National Cancer Institute Thailand between 2013 and 2016. Patient demographics, tumor variables, intraoperative frozen section and final pathological margin outcomes were collected. Factors for positive or close margins were analyzed. Results: A total of 86 patients aged between 27 and 75 years with intra-operative ultrasound guided breast conserving surgery were included. Three cases (3.5%) of positive margin were detected by intra-operative frozen section and 4 cases (4.7%) by final pathology reports. There were 18 cases (20.9%) with a close margin (<1 mm). Factors affecting this result comprised multi-foci, presence of invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC) combined with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) and invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC). Conclusions: With the current SSO/ASTRO for adequate margin guidelines, using intra-operative ultrasound to locate the boundary for resection with breast conserving surgery provided a high success rate in obtaining final pathology free margin outcomes and minimizing re-operation risks especially when combined with intra-operative frozen section assessment. The chance of finding positive or close margins appears higher in cases of IDC combined with DCIS, ILC and with multi-foci cancers.
